I Like The Man Who Is Said To Be The Villain

Description

Su Yunxi read a post-apocalyptic novel, and fell in love with the super invincible villain named Yu Bai. The poor villain was the one who defended his family and the country, but he was the one whose reputation got dirty, the one who was beaten by the pig’s feet (the protagonists in the book). It was him who made a room for the pig’s feet, and he was also the one who was almost killed. In short, he only moved the bricks in the story (only need to work). The pig’s feet were like two leeches biting on him, sucking his blood and eating his meat and wanting to kill him.

Su Yunxi’s whole person was in chaos, what about the good villain, what about the bad protagonist?.

He opened Du Niang (aka Baidu) and searched the definition of villain, “refers to those who are opposed to the positive characters, representatives of evil images, or incompatible with the protagonist in the story”.

Seeing the last sentence, Su Yunxi felt like he had realized something, “I’m falling, so the so-called villain just because it doesn’t deal with the protagonist, he has a reputation as a villain”.

Su Yunxi, who was distressed, grabbed his heart and pressed his mouth flatly, and then a long theoretical comment would put him down, sent him to the world of the book. He just opened his eyes and Yu Bai was standing in front of him. The man he loved was now in front of him,” How can I get the other party’s attention and get a good impression”.

This is like a delicious menu but lack of seasoning, ,

Now, the first time I hope for a novel to have "drama" genre, , Like I hate dramas and complicated relationship!

But!! This is too bland-- no, too smooth (?) There is no slapping bit*h at all 😭 or it's just I can't fell it, ,

I like the writing style, , my problem I think is only the plot, , author should eat more spicy food!! Life must be spicy!! The kind of spicy life where everyone is envious... more>> how spicy it is!!

He is the protagonist, damn it!! Not hikikomori otaku that grow mushroom inside dampness darkness of their bedroom, , life is need spicy!! <<less

I love story about zombie or post apocalypse setting.

The MC very cute and have a clear goal to pampering the ML. For ML himself kinda cold so I can't see in further chapters they become hot and passionate couple.

Spoiler

And this is just my opinion but the original MC Shou and Gong in novel became just "backgrounds setting" and don't really have strong power and not really active to attack them. So it's like I'm waiting for grand fight between tigers then just get to see chickens fight ? Hahaha

i think....I'm in the mood to read stories where perseverance and s*xual harassment can't make the person you like reciprocate your feelings, hence the low rating. MC forcefully kissed ML and kept harassing him and it's just not great, man. MC even said sth like ML had the right to agree or disagree but he couldn't stop MC from chasing him. ML is better than me because I would've smacked MC so hard since around chapter 20 lol. when they started dating I just felt bitter hhhh. the og MC... more>> and og ML are both scums idc enough to read the story until the end but yeah. <<less

Sisters and brothers that's going watch this shtty novel, please don't. I should've obediently believe in other reviews TAT.

This novel is the epitome of the author is a noob. They make MC so OP and white lotus to the point everything is the fault of ML if something happen to MC for example:

Spoiler

In chapter 59 MC went on a daze for 6 hours in the river, everyone got worried and thought he's slump bcs ML keep rejecting him, ML feel guilty and apologize. This part is so disgusting, they make it seems like it's ML's fault for rejecting MC. Idk what happen next but ML and MC decided to go out (metaphor of boyfriends).

[collapse]

MC IS A SCUM. Even worse than the villain. That's the only thing I can say. Forcing ML to love him with his pestering and guilt tripping him.

Also another thing at flaw is at the beginning of the novel MC height is supposed to be 180 cm but then later it become 185 cm, wtf?? Does the author know human can't grow any longer after they reach the age 21?

Also the villain is so boring. The novel (or precisely MC) keep saying that the villain have golden finger and if he hate someone it can kill them. Previously it should be ML but now the hatred is directed to MC and MC get hurt bcs of it. If the villain is so dangerous why not kill him early (for both side).

Overall: MC and the villain is the same, both are a sh*t and their gong partner should search for a better one than keeping that toxic relationship.

The characters I remember:

Spoiler

Su Yunxi (MC)
Yu Bo / Yu Bai (ML/OG villain)
Ye Ziye (Ally)
Li Sansheng (Ally)
Hu Tian (Ally)
Li Xiao (Ally)
Ye Zi/Ye Ye (Ally)
Yu Jieyi (Villain/ML's brother)
Huangfu Aotian (Villain?/Villain's gong)
Etc

MC 0.5/5

ML 4.5/5

Villain 3/5

Honestly, this novel could be considered pretty average for an apocalypse BL novel. I have read better ones and worse ones.

What distinguishes this novels from the others is how little zombie action we actually get. The main challenges are the og. Mary Sue green tea shou protagonist, the environmental virus pollution and the mutations in animals and plants that results from the pollution.

There is also the fact that you keep being reminded that it's a book transmigration novel as the og. Protagonists keep jumping around in front of your face... more>> and the will of heaven keeps pressuring the MC, weighing who between him and the og. Shou is more useful. Not to forget that such screwed up three views like those that the og. Shou has can only appear in a Mary Sue novel.

The plot itself is fine imo. But there are two points that took away from my overall enjoyment.

The first one is how sudden the romantic development seemed. For most of the story it felt like the relationship development between the main CP had plateaued at sticky and shameless MC sticking his face against the ML's cold ass. While the ML did grow used to the MC's antics he still wasn't romantically interested. But then BAM! Don't know how the ML suddenly caught feelings. I guess, he didn't have much of a choice. With the MC being as shameless and persistent as the worst hooligan and chewing gum he would have given in sooner or later. That or died resisting.

The second thing that irritated me was how sudden and open the ending was. I wasn't keeping an eye on the chapter number so when I cl**ked on 'next chapter' and there wasn't one, I had to double check whether the novel really only had 103 chapters. That's how abrupt the end was. Until now, I had never realized how annoying I find open endings. You can always learn something new about yourself, I guess.

Other than those two things, the novel was pretty okay, sometimes ridiculous, but you can't take a Mary Sue book seriously anyway. <<less

The ending is very unsatisfying.

Other than that, it's quite entertaining. I just wonder how some story has these cliche no brain characters who are dead set on blaming others. Lololol. I mean I understand it's the settings, but it really doesn't have to be no brain at all too right...

It's not bad, but not that likeable for me?

At first, before the apocalypse really happen, when the ML get to know about it from the MC, he thought about collect supplies and weabons for the 10 of them, him and his team members. And he really call them all (the 9 of his men) and asked them to bring their mony at hand, which was in millions, and told them to collect the supplies for them all to be ready, and they agree.
But, when they came to the MC,... more>> at the day of the apocalypse, there was only 4 of his men with him, and they still 4 all the novel. At least to where I read, the other 5 never show up or get mentioned by any one at all! You know, they should be brothers in arm, who got through death and life together, but here they just don't have any-any presence!

And there is no fight with zombie almost at all in this novel, it's all go around the MC inside the base, as the MC rarely go out!

But, you may say that the MC, is not the type who could fight with others, specialy zombies (as he and the author always say), but what about the ML?
The ML has the lighting power, wich was the most powerful power, and he was also so powerful, pluse he was a militry man so he could fight easly, but he also never get out of the base to fight zombie or whatever!
All he do (ML), is just to go everyday to ignet electric for the base! That's when the base was still under militry, after they left and it was under the MC and ML care, he start to get taken care of the base and ignet electric, just that!

And everytime they (MC and ML) get out of the base, which is too rarely, it'll be to get something for them to get more powerful!
The first time they get out, result them to get a deal with the smart animals, which get him alot of power.
The second time was becuse the MC get heat-headed because someone told him that it won't work for him and the ML, as ML didn't accept him till now, wich it has been near half a year, so he dicided to go out on "a date" with ML, which toke them to suddenly encoter the fiance of a friend whom should be dead, but he was just a half zombie, and the MC cure him of cours. Blahblahblah. Thats it!

But I didn't actualy hate the above, it's just made me uncomfortable sometimes.

What I didn't like, is the MC always remember the original MC, and compare himself with him and always feel like he is better, but actualy he most of the time act just like him! The only different is maybe that he is not a divel and the origenal one is? I don't know!
Like, the MC always say that the original MC don't like to treat people, lazy, but he could upgrad due to his cheat, but when the MC get this cheat and upgrade to 2 level, he just get behind the closed doors to injoy himself, and didn't get to treat people outside anymore as he did before!
Things like this do happen from time to time, it might not be a big thing, and not a problem, that if the author didn't made the MC always remember the original MC and compare them which make you always have to find that they actualy the same somehow?

Of cours, this novel isn't that bad, but I don't know, it always feel like something lacking. <<less

PLOT:

Zombie Apocalypse setting with a transmigrated MC! This MC was a reader of the original novel (which was your typical novel about a powerful MC (space/healing) falling in love with a powerful, leader of a Gong!) Only, rather than sympathizing with the main characters of the original novel, our MC (named Su Yunxi), ends up on the side of the novel's 'villain' who isn't a villain at all. Anyway, after dying, he finds himself transmigrated into the original novel as an unmentioned cannon fodder with the same name.

Minor... more>> Spoilers:
Spoiler

MC obtains a space/farming golden finger from the ML (Yu Bo) and ends up becoming the direct rival of the original MC with his original healing powers. MC's goal is simply to spoil the ML and ensures that he isn't kicked into the ground like in the original novel and he does this with lots of grinding (farming in space) and bringing the public opinion over to his side.

[collapse]

SETTING:

Very much like your general Zombies vs Super Powered Humans setting. The MC even has a space golden finger!!! This is the first one that I read with a healer for an MC though (the only other one had a healer ML but the healer ability wasn't in focus), which I found really interesting. The focus on farming (over beating up zombies) was pretty interesting too. A lot of the intrigue in the novel was political with a side of romance (as the MC pursues the cold ML).

Major Spoilers:
Spoiler

In this setting, the 'saving the world' push is a lot stronger than most other zombie apocalypse novels that I've read. But it's not overstated or anything. Like, it's not a shounen! The main characters do put in the work to accomplish their task, but yeh, it's not their only thing. Not much face-slapping revenge here. It's a pretty short novel, so zombies don't get all that much time to shine either.

[collapse]

CHARACTERS:

  • Su Yunxi (MC) : I like him as an MC! He knows what he wants and he goes for it (and is not afraid of putting in the work to get it.) As mentioned, he was given a space/farming golden finger by the ML and is a healer by nature!
  • Yu Bo (ML) : Pretty good for an ML. He's your typical stoic type! But, what I like is that the MC fell for him first, so it's him that's being pursued rather than him being the pursuer. It made their romance dynamics more unique!
  • Yu Jieyi (OG!MC) Huangfu Aotian (OG!ML) : The original main characters of the novel. They're not really in the spotlight all that often!
RATING: Final rating is around 3.5 stars to 4 stars. This novel really surprised me! I read the MTL (from MTLNovel. Com), which ended up being much more readable than I was expecting, and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was~ Definitely worth the read. I wish it was longer. The length of the novel kinda pinched the ending (by a lot), but at the same time, I think it's satisfying as it is -- most of the plots were handled and done. <<less

The story is a good casual read (in my opinion).

Spoiler

The ML and MC are both too op that the face slapping wasn’t interesting. The novel was more into the process of making a more comfortable place to live in aka saving the world resulting in the romance between the main characters to be slow which is why it is slow burn. Regarding the half brother of the ML he’s lame and dumb while his boyfriend well ex-boyfriend is more acceptable he’s got the brains unlike ML’s half brother. Now moving on to the ending it was logical in the fact that the will of the world prioritized itself and chose to let ML’s half brother (I don’t really know what to call him) die in an un-exciting way. But the ending was rather abrupt I was like where are the rest of the chapters?! I doubted my eyes for a moment but that’s about it. But I really like that Ji Yue character from the early chapters that woman was so fine I really appreciate her.

???? I was NOT expecting it to end when it did but also I'm glad it did??? It was a perfect end tbh
it's an open end which leaves off on a good note and you can just take your imagination where MC and ML will develop.

I think it's a really fun read, pace is a bit quick but not too jumpy, also it's not draggy plus the MC has hilarious monologues/thoughts at times. It's a mix of farming, lots of hoarding, purifying things and beating the world's protagonist to... more>> being the first in everything good... with zombies and mutated beings somewhere in between xD MC's goal hasn't strayed much from the beginning: live well in the end of times with his "wife" (in your dreams, MC) ML and doing what ML wants to do (aka save people)...
Spoiler

By the end, MC's actually being delegated to do it by the world/Heavenly Dao xD

A good modern reader transmigration apocalypse BL novel.

Magical space✓ Farming ✓ MC with healing powers ✓ ML with thunder powers ✓ counterattack against protagonists ✓ mutant beasts ✓ mutant plants ✓ mutant sea creatures ✓

The MC fell for the ML when reading a novel but the ML in the novel was just a cannon fodder villain although he was actually a good person with a tragic background. And the 'protagonist shou' is actually part of the MLs family. The protagonist shou's mom (mistress of MLs father) caused the death of... more>> the MLs mother.

The MC was upset at the author and then soon got transmigrated into the novel as a doctor who dies after being saved by the ML in the novel. So he pretends to suddenly come back from the future by having some sort of attack in the presence of the ML so he could see a clear change in personalities 😂 anyway from my understanding the MC never actually told the ML that he had transmigrated even until the end of the novel.

The MC and ML try their best to save the world (environment) and humans vs the protagonist shou being selfish and trying to kill the two of the the whole time and even cheating on the protagonist gong. Etc etc. Anyway they were tr*sh but the gong was actually on the MC and MLs side at the end (tho more for business gains) <<less

It's not what I thought it would be, but I'm quite satisfied with this novel. The length is good, it doesn't drag on for no reason. I was expecting the villain to be more sinister, but actually our ML is very innocent. He's more like a protagonist and white lotus than the actual OG shou and gong. The OG shou and gong are a little laughable, they don't have strong fighting power, but it's still fun to read.

The MC is a little obsessed with fighting global warming - his enemies... more>> arent people honestly, he wants to fight the environment. He's obsessed with purifying water and cleaning the ocean. I'm exasperated because I've never met a protagonist like him before.

This novel is a sweet text itself -- the MC pursues the ML very forwardly. It's a refreshing and fun read actually. The characters and plot can have silly moments, nothing is too serious. Even in an apocalyptic setting, this is one of the most chill apocalypse novel I've ever read. The MC basically owns a base but doesn't have to deal with the politics/intrigues - he can just farm and he makes other people farm too. None of the 'we have to protect what we have against others' - this is a very very chill text. I repeat, it's very chill. <<less

I finished this. Honestly for me it's a 3.5 or 4 at best, but I don't want to drag the rating down too much. I personally don't think that there's anything special about this novel that would make it better or particularly distinctive from others with the same genre (Zombies, Apocalypse, Superpower) except probably the MC.

ML is your typical strong quiet type. I don't hate him but I don't particularly love him either. He sounds like our ideal dream husband but that's it. If you are expecting pampering-type of novel... more>> (which I did btw because I love them) the pampering moments came like at the last part of the novel and the moments weren't that many. It's slow-burn romance.

MC is... a very relatable person for millenials' standard. One of my favourite lines of his was "He likes the pampering-type of novel and eats sugar because life is hard enough" and honestly, same dude. He's also unapologetic and isn't hypocritical with his means - he's being nice to others just so ML can like him and so the Heavenly Dao won't kill him in a heartbeat by accumulating virtues. He knows he's being nice just because he needs to and not because he's a nice person and he admits it upfront.

Their romance, or MC's courting of ML, started early on. ML sounds like an aromantic as*xual person. Everyone (including MC) thought he's straight but from ML's side it sounds like he's simply not particularly interested in romance. The first few chapters with MC eating ML's tofu was all for acting (they've got a secret with each other they can't share and acting like a couple is a good front) but MC did successfully boil the frog with warm water. Someone pointed out that it was non-consensual touching, I think it's more dub-con because both of them were acting together to hide their secret. And without the touching it would make it not believable to outsiders. If you are uncomfortable about this however, I completely understand if you decide to skip this novel.

I felt a bit unsatisfied with the ending because it felt like there's more politics and fighting and farming and less romance. But then again I did come in expecting a sweet pampering novel so I guess that's MY problem and not the novel's. Do I think it's better than "Otaku's Code" or "Reborn to Return to Fang Hao"? Definitely not, but it's an okay read if you want something similar. <<less
