It's decent one.

At first I have a high hope about this novel. Single mum with cute daughter is my cup of tea.

from the start mother look like strong will, wise and know manner when her daughter is so cute.

It good till MC meet ML again then everything she do made me disappoint.

I just see girl in love with baggage.

but it's still continue so not sure if it will be better later on ?

I suggest come back later when have more than 50 chapters

(I use google trans and don't like her act so it's not accurate, might bias / it's my point of view)

MC meet the ML and have some drama, show off scene - duke power- etc.

MC decide to move again like she want to flee from ML but she choose to move back to capital? (the town she run from I think) and open café and send her kid to new school (Noble school that she claims that it is best school in country)

her old friend pay a visit, support her new business, café franchise, money support secretly give by ML.

Evil grand mother come to café ague with her about the promise and MC dare to tell lie that she have child with unknown man and can't go back to ML. (I think if see the kid face everyone will know the true except ML) problem never solve, I wonder why ML never do something for this shitty grandma.

Bibi got bullied by noble kid, (I think it's too forceful event, make ML meet his kid at school) Jealousy vileness flag arise.

in this part I feel like mother neglect her child and reveal her in danger.

I understand mother is woman too But she turn fools while author try to give many reason to cover it up and it's not make any sense for me.

when friend suggest MC about open café franchise, she raise a kid so she don't have much time for that

but her daughter support her said she will tolerant it. (not sure) MC happy do it while know her child will suffer?! (no make up for her now)....... This is really wtf for me.

she pick up her kid late many time. Her kid have problem at school but MC never notice, and let it be till her child get ab*se.

MC have inferiority complex. When I read it, she like mistress? Little lady wait for her man. (she deny it but her actions very obvious)

She is fallen noble and a maid. Low status when I read it I feel like she is former star, can't forget old fame. She cleave for something that not suit for current her. More author try to make her look good, suit for duke wife vibe, make me more detest her.

author try to make her look brave and wise when conflict arise. But for me she is little lady that can't protect anyone and make fool out of herself. all bark and no bite.

Not much of it is translated, but from current impressions, it's somewhere between overly melodramatic and barely tolerable.

There is this very specific thing about angsty styles of writing I hate that is rather hard to describe. While it tries to be gut wrenching, the sadness lacks any inklings of genuine emotion, instead seeming like the author trying to play up the melodrama in a poor attempt to get the reader to feel something. Because of this it comes off as fake, forced, and frustrating.

While this novel in particular hasn't gone... more>> too far into that territory, we're already starting to see the inklings. From the child being a perfect cinnamon bun of pureness, to the supposedly "realist" and mature main character, and finally the male lead who loves the MC so much she means "more than his life" to him, it's just too forced.

When I read the premise I was hoping for more of a realistic take rather than what comes off as a "noble" main character's reward for years of hardship as a single holy mother by a man who will only accept her and no one else for no good reason than it was meant to be. Overall it's a rather juvenile attempt at older romance, that lacks subtly and emotional maturity in its characters.

Way it handles situations is way too hot-blooded melodrama for me. <<less

Ok, it's a 3.5/4.0

Let's begin...

Overall, this story is good, good structure, good characters, and a semi-good plot (For now, the story has the chance to evolve into something more interesting) It doesn't have anything really outstanding or remarkable, cus we know the characters (whom doesn't have a complex personality construction) and we know where they are going to end, with a lil chance of variations... But even so, oh Lord, the well structure that the author give to the story makes u read it in a blink... And it's really... more>> catchy!

The premise is what makes this novel a lil bit different from others, u don't see a female lead having a child so many times, and it always has been something that wakes up my curiosity (I wish to read this topic in a lot of other novels) how she/he can change after having a child or how the relationship between the lead characters chage, we can't know this exactly in this story, but I'm having moderate expectations in the trama...

I really recommend this heartwarming story, it's good to kill some time if u don't have anything to read... But above all, gives u a satisfying read. <<less

How can I love FL after this? She doesn't deserve his love. She is supposedly in love but continues to find excuses to be separated from him because of her "inferiority complex". UGH, what a s*upid promise this novel has. Even after chapter 20s, you can guess how successful she's going to be and who'll be the classical evil (abduction or life threat maybe?). I wouldn't mind the cliches but this is so low-level.

I really like this novel. The translation is done well and it's got a good balance of drama and family fluff. What I don't like is how the MC keeps avoiding the ML. I know this is the premise but she keeps bringing up social status, despite her daughter being the only current heir to the Duke's family. Plus, the Duke is so respectable. He doesn't force her to get back together with him but he still chases after in an honest way. Which, for this brand of story, is... more>> really rare. Normally the guys are forceful and obsessive. The only really bad thing he has done is, maybe (it's so far only implied), off a guy who harassed the mother and daughter pair. But that jerk was aggressive and dangerous, so I don't care. <<less

Pros, cute kid, nice FL, strong FL, kind and considerate ML, peaceful enough flow of events and drama.

Cons, unless you like this kinda thing angst level over 50. Strong FL enough to file a lawsuit for being idiotic or martyr, honestly just an overly cautious and anxious woman on the inside. Hidden cold hearted ML, due to 7 years deprevity of love and political struggle.

Very great and heartwarming story that much I can already tell! The translation is good and fluent too! I can only recommend it to all people who like sweet emotional stories and romance!

Normally I don't bother with novels that do not yet have a certain amount of chapters and almost did the same here. I still regret not having listened to this particular instinct of mine. Didn't I know exactly this would happen? Perhaps I expected that my interest would vain after tasting it. Didn't happen.

Now I have been hooked... more>> at a cliffhanger letting me thirst for probably quite some time!!! <<less

It's somewhat boring and repetitive as there isn't really any conflict, intrique or interesting characters.

Also we as a reader have far to much knowledge about all sides in the story so there aren't even any surprises or plot twists

It's not that good, the FL is really... naive? Ig that's the word. The ML is really boring and is the possessive type, so yeah... The daughter is the only one who made me stick with this novel the most. One of the good points is that they point out harassment that women have to go through, but the writing of the novel is not that good tbh.
