The night before we obtained our marriage certificate, I asked him, “When did you start to develop feelings for me?”

He answered, “I don’t remember.”

“But, why me?”

“Why not you?”

“I’m very petty, and I get jealous very easily.”

“So am I.”

“I’m afraid I’m not worthy of you.”

“So am I.”

“I haven’t really dated, so I don’t know what love is.”

“I don’t know either.”

He held my hand gently, “But I know this. When I think about spending the rest of my life with you, I feel that my future is filled with hope.”

At 16, we used the same class desk, with less than 10cm between our arms. My peripheral vision was full of him.

At 26, I woke up in the morning, and saw the sunlight softly shining on his face. I thought, this is how I want to grow old – gradually, together, with him.

I guess this must be love.

Slice of life novel---there's no better description! For both the ups and the downs of human relationships, the author touches on them all with an ever-present sense of humor and wit. The subsequent life advice contained therein is very relatable as well. It is mainly focused on the relationship between the author and her husband, but friends and family hold as important a place in her heart and story. I feel like my soul has been revived!my skin is clear and my crops are watered

A true slice of life gem. Gentle, fun, casually told yet at the same time flavorful, touching and deeply reflecting from numerous experiences.

Words can't express how much admiration I have for Joey, and how much this novel amazes me. If this novel fits the genre you're looking for, then it's simply not one to be missed.

All the characters are fun to read. I truly love the relationship of Joey and Mr. F. It's truly a warm-hearted, sweet and funny story.

There is no boring chapter. This book is so refreshing after reading so many books about revenge, transmigration, angsty couples, etc.

extremely cute and heartwarming, I guess this would be my relationship goal >__>

I love the interaction between the pair, especially how Mr F always goes along with Joey‘s jokes. The story doesn‘t solely focus on romance, it also includes friendship and family ties. While reading most of the times I couldn’t stop smiling.

I can recommend it for anyone who‘s looking for something cute and fun.

I read it just in time for the drama adaptation. I didn't know that it was going to be this short, but it's enough for me to get an insight in the author's love story. I wish that it was longer and at the same time I like how it was short.

Read this and it will make your heart warm.

This is such a heartwarming novel! It is a slice of life that will make you smile all day long at the interactions of Joey and Mr F. The part that I really like about it is the fact that the novel is about the author and her interactions with the people around her. This kind of novel is really refreshing from other novels and I would 10/10 recommend to anyone~

probably my favourite romance story on this website.

The sweetness borders on diabetes, while still keeping a constant realism that exists in real relationships. Other stories are either flowers and rainbows, or some rich family drama and stuff.

This story is so much more personable, probably due to it being the author's real life love story with her husband. A normal slice of life story of Joey and Mr. F just living life as it comes, the people around them, their ups and downs along with theirs.

These days I read romance knowing... more>> that they will never give me the happiness and caring for the characters that I felt so much during this story. <<less

This story tells us moments of Joey's life both from his childhood until after his marriage and more focused on Mr. F her husband. It is a quite refreshing novel with moments of laughter and others a little more reflective. The novel is not so deep but certainly worth it, if you still do not dare to read it, I recommend it when you want something quiet, sweet and funny, without much drama, betrayal or revenge 👍👍👍

A sweet story recounting numerous events of a couple's life as friends, lovers, and marriage partners. Purely a slice of life and romance with very little drama. Honestly there's not much to say past this, if this fits your cup of tea then it's certainly something worth checking out. The characters are likeable enough and the humor and sweet moments will certainly put a smile on your face at least.

This is somewhat of an autobiographical depiction of the author's relationship with her husband.

It's very fluffy for the most part, but don't let that fool you. There are bits and pieces of the story that is heart-wrenching and gives a melancholic vibe to the whole book. They're thankfully short, though, so most of the novel is sweet, cute and happy. Since it's autobiographical, the structure follows a slice-0f-life theme and stays true to that. Reading it gave a very realistic sense of what life was like for our main couple,... more>> especially when it came to parts where they have misunderstandings and disagreements.

I envy Ms. Qiao Yi for finding such a devoted husband, but she keeps it real. He's not Mr. Perfect, but close enough :).

It's a short read, worth your reading time. <<less

I don't like how his words were false and contradictory:

On one hand he says: "I don’t like the world, I only like you"

On the other hand, he chooses to break up with her, rather than give up his current job.

He even says: "Although love is extremely important, our lives do not revolve around it. Instead, we are usually busy with our individual matters for majority of the time." Not saying that's necessarily wrong, but it just doesn't match up with his other words.

Oh God, rarely does a book make me cry so much all because of the sweetness! I hope we all find a mr. F of our own. This novel is amazing. I decided to write a review even when I'm still on chapter 10 because I know I won't regret it. The characters are all fleshed out that the conversations are realistic enough to tug at your heart strings. Gotta grab more tissues now.

the sweetest stories I have ever read and is one of the best ones out there

honestly whenever I was reading the the story (again) and my mom came in the room she would give me a weird look

i didnt know why

once my friend came home and he also gave me a weird look so I asked him why

he said that I had a big smirk on my face that even I didn’t realize

honestly the first novel to make me write a review to tell that this thing is awesome

Truly a great finding, brought me to tears for some scenes, laughter at another, and another word I just can't seem to find that describes my heart is really feeling for the story and also the author. Even though it's short, it's a heart-puller.
