When they talk, sparks fly; when they write, they flirt. A two-faced romantic comedy about playing rivals!

At Hiiragigaoka Academy, the student council and the club alliance are at odds. Leading the fray are the student council president, the “ice-cold glasses guy” Higashiguchi Makita, and the carefree, charismatic club alliance representative, Nishimaru Nanna—archenemies embodying their respective factions. Their encounters always end in heated arguments. But one day after school, Nanna shows up at the study room where Makita goes alone. Bracing himself, Makita is caught off guard when Nanna scribbles on a scrap of notebook paper: “…So, got a girlfriend?” Turns out, Nanna actually wants to get closer to Makita! While keeping up their rival act, they start a secret routine of passing notes in the study room after school. Makita discovers Nanna’s true self—cute and playfully mischievous. Enemies when they speak, but on paper, they’re teetering on the edge of romance (?!)—where will their love story go?!

I went into this completely blind, not knowing anything about the story outside the description. 4 hours later, I was lamenting that there was only 1 volume.

It's a nice, fun twist on a high school romance. The author manages to create an environment where school dynamics pressure the main pairing to not be together without having to result to "loner/otaku protag" garbo or "delinquent vs high-class". The 2 main characters feel very fleshed out and likeable.

They also have very unique, fun interactions that will have you fawning over them. I... more>> promise most anyone reading this won't be disappointed, and will probably be hooked. <<less
