Yan Shuang is an old veteran of the Transmigration Bureau. Once he finishes one last book, he’ll be able to make a lump-sum withdrawal of the pension he’s accumulated across various books and live a happily retired life.

There’s good news once he enters the book — He’s the protagonist.

Bad news? — He’s the protagonist of an angsty, dog blood novel.

Before him lay five highly toxic relationship plotlines with the same shou but different gongs.

Scum Gong 1: Master-servant contract with physical and mental abuse aplenty
Scum Gong 2: Carving out one of your kidneys for the white moonlight
Scum Gong 3: Brainwashing/reconditioning shame play
Scum Gong 4: You’re nice but unfortunately not clean enough
Scum Gong 5: Save him and I can marry you

Yan Shuang: He’s eager to retire already, hurry up ba

People are actually sleeping on this gem of a novel! It deserves way more attention.

Novels that "make fun" of the 'dogblood angsty wife-chasing crematorium' archetype are my all-time favourite guilty pleasures; take Proposing to Seven Men, Strategy to Capture that Scum Gong, and so forth -- where the MC plays the role of an innocent white lotus character on the outside, but on the inside, he's the cunning, manipulative mastermind who's orchestrating everything behind the scenes.

However, big Boss Yan Shuang is the only MC I know who remains unapologetically, shamelessly,... more>> and charmingly cruel, ruthless, cold, and unfeeling to the end. He steadfastly commits to his goal without ever wavering even once; and that kind of dedication and spirit deserve respect (lol). It goes without saying that I have 0 pity or sympathy towards the scum gongs, no matter how pitiful and pathetic they end up becoming because of MC's schemes. The gongs 1000% deserve the tr*shing that they receive. Besides that, I'm super happy that our boy got the retirement he deserved, and I'm also super relieved that

Spoiler

Yuan Shuang and Yuan Man's souls managed to run away together out of the clutches of the System (according to the revised ending). Speaking of the revised ending, I'm so glad the author decided to revise it because the original ending was so lackluster lol. It's nice to see the fallout of MC's dogblood play and how his death affected the gongs individually.

[collapse]

Still, I was so pleasantly surprised at the fact that

Spoiler

the MC chooses nobody in the end! The author doesn't use the s*upid "fuse everyone into one ML" trope! The author doesn't force a romantic connection! You have no idea how shook I was. It's so rare to see this kind of "BE" ending for BL harem novels. Though personally, I don't want to call it BE because it's 100% a HE for me & the MC, just not for the scum gongs (but who the f*ck cares about those bastards) LOL.

[collapse]

Just overall satisfaction in general. My real rating is 4.7; the only nitpick keeping this from reaching 5 stars from me is the fact that this novel is good, but it isn't particularly outstanding. It didn't evoke much emotion out of me other than mild satisfaction (which is good enough already, don't get me wrong). I know it's meant to parody angsty dogblood novels so it's inherently set-up as a comedy by default, but still, I wanted to cry! I wanted to be angry! I just need a few extra pushes on the emotions area and it would've been a full score from me. I suppose it's my fault since I came into this novel with the expectations of reading high-tension emotional moments lol but I didn't expect the scum gongs to be so scummy and unlikeable that there was no chance I would ever sympathise or feel bad for any of them hahaha.

Spoiler

I will never ever admit this out loud but I actually really like Wei Yichen HAHA. Don't tell anyone, shush.

This is the best MC I've come across in the countless novels I've read on this site over the past four years. It's also the first novel that has prompted me to write a comment after lurking on this site for so long. Therefore, I highly recommend everyone who's on the fence about this novel to give it a try!

MC chooses none. Period.

[collapse]

If you think the scum gongs are pitiable just because the MC is not some random white lotus who takes it lying down, I'd say hating on this master piece suits you.

Don't let the negative reviews fool you. Those who reads abusive, non con/ dub con with a mother teresa protagonist just to quench their hypocritical, sadomasochistic thirst, of course they find it unbearable that professional Transmigrator MC is not the holy father of kindness as the actual book world stated him to be, who at the end keeps getting kicked to the ground and gives in time and again. Our MC is a professional Transmigrator, in his last world to his retirement, hoping to buy his dream planet with the pension money and eat fruits there; also who knows to differ emotions from professins, gets his work done and doesn't feel remorse for kicking those who deserves it to the curb.

You are a sinner, and redemption is not your inherited goods. It's all but your victim's will to free you off the debt, cause your each mistreatment and disgusting dictatorship upon his life, his body, his reputation and self esteem, is a debt towards that very person.

So, the scum gongs are not to be pitied. If I do, I'm sick and in need of psychological consolations.

If they did not get the forgiveness, got played, got their cheap emotions slapped back to their faces, it's because that's what their redemption is.

So, if the victim deems them unworthy of his forgiveness,

-They are. F*cking. Unworthy.

5/5 for enjoyment.

MC doesn't love anyone, and he has quite the ruthless character, which is slowly revealed throughout the novel. The best part of the novel is that though- MC has full, total control over himself and never wavers in his goal to complete the plot. He is willing and able to manipulate the people around him, seduce them, predict how they will react, and play out exactly what he has in mind to accomplish his goals.

After reading novels with so many MCs that are suppressed by the ML/target due... more>> to money, power, emotions, or forced plot by the system, it is so refreshing to meet an MC who cannot be forced to lower his head. He is proud, and rightly so- no one can shake him emotionally, and everything he shows is a facade, carefully crafted for each leading role in this drama. As a reader, I never felt that he was subdued by the forced dog blood plot he had to carry out. In fact, I felt that MC took faint pleasure in executing his plays exactly the way he planned to and thereby successfully reach his goals with his own hands, through efforts completely of his own.

Yes, the scum gongs were pitiful at times. Because MC is in a position of superiority mentally throughout the entire novel, it is understandable for the audience to sympathize with the weaker side. However, look at it from this point of view: if it were the original 'Yan Shuang' who suffered devastating torment and abuse from these scum gongs and somehow was reborn with all the skills of our MC, and if he burned with the desire for revenge and decided to do exactly what MC did- would it have been any better or more justified?

Personally, I prefer if the MC is in control and is not swayed by the ML/target. I prefer them feigning emotional hurt or physical hurt instead of actually being harmed, because I am always biased toward the main character. So, this novel is exactly in line with my tastes- because the MC is never truly affected, yet he is still able to draw out the emotional plot of 'sadomasochism' or 'dog blood abuse' through splendid, life-like acting.

While I cannot say the same for everyone, I personally enjoyed the strategies MC played out in order to fulfill the 'emotional' and 'story' plot for each of the scum gongs. I would feel sorry for one or more of the scum gongs at some point in time, but then I would remember how they treated him beforehand. If not that, then I would recall how they abused the original. In truth, all the scum gongs are kind of pe*verted and twisted inside (maybe except the 'straight, ' 'good man' scum gong whose cowardice and abandonment brought the original down from heaven to hell). Perhaps that is another reason why I am not so empathetic towards them, and the satisfaction of witnessing MC's success outweighs any momentary pity I may have for them.

The novel isn't perfect, but for the entertainment, laughter, angst, and satisfaction it brought me, I think it deserves a top rating. This kind of charming, seductive, eloquent, malleable con-man of an MC is right up my alley. It isn't boring by any means, given the challenges in the plot, and the refreshing way MC takes charge and dominates his supposed abusers through calculation after calculation is just so delightful!

Though, a small warning to readers new to the genre: you might want to acquaint yourselves with some milder novels before plunging headfirst into the mindset of a truly ruthless MC. Tastes change over time, and I can't say if I would have liked this novel as much as I did if I had read this before the countless other dog blood QT novels that desensitized me and had me bored with cliched plots and too soft MCs. All I can say is: the plot was fresh enough to be memorable, complex enough to engage attention until the end, and exciting enough to be truly enjoyable. Savor the treat, fellow readers! <<less

This novel's a real roller coaster.

At first you're laughing. Ha, how can anyone like these scum. MC, go abuse them some more! *laughs maniacally*

Then, about halfway in, you start to feel kind of bad. Uh MC, did you have to do that...? Yeah they deserve it, but...

... more>> In the end, you end up as one of MC's victims too. 😭

I have read the entire book including extras from the official raws. If you don't read from JJWXC, you're going to miss a lot of content near the end because the author went back and revised it. A lot of the comments so far obviously read from another source.

Is the story wrapped up nicely?

Spoiler

To be honest it's a little abrupt. Still, the new ending the author typed up is a lot more heartwrenching/makes more sense than the original one.

[collapse]

Will the scum gongs get what they deserve/will we get to see what happens to them afterwards?

Spoiler

Yes and yes. We have a glimpse of what became of them in one of the extras. Honestly started feeling bad for them near the end.

[collapse]

Who does MC end up with?

Spoiler

You sure you want to know?

[collapse]

Spoiler

MC ends up with no one. The ship is and has always been Yan Shuang x Money lol.

None of these scum gongs deserve anything from MC.

After all that crap treatment in the original world, MC transmigrating and giving them all BE is the best ending the author could have given.

No mercy, no forgiveness

Spoiler

From skimming through the raws, I was disappointed MC and Qin Qing didn't get to have a happy reunion and that there was no extra chapter to show us all the scum gongs' despair after MC died

Edit: well apparently the author got so much hate that they made some extras to show what the scum gongs are like after MC and Qin Qing died

Read it all as mtl. This is one of the ONLY stories I could find where there is scum abuse, emotions, love and still no pairing! I LOVE it!!! I’ve been searching so long for a scum abuse novel that has all the feelings of the s*upid ones and all the unfeeling scum abuse of the moral ones.

The protagonist is a professional through and through. The scum are scum. And this is not a matchmaking story. But it still has all the best elements and emotional lines of those stories... more>> without sacrificing morality/plain sense OR feelings at the end. The transmigrator...
Spoiler

doesn’t keep the scumbags at the end or even want to. It’s one of the few stories that doesn’t glorify unhealthy relationships like that.
the only thing it’s missing is extra chapters at the end for the scumbags suffering perspectives.

[collapse]

But you still get the hurt/comfort repentance dog blood vibe. It doesn’t sacrifice that for a wholesome pairing with scum slapping on the side, like in most “sensible” scum abuse novels.

So you get the best of both worlds, the novels that glorify relationships with scum with feeeelings and novels that abuse scum without feelings. <<less

I am regret about the time wasted.

I don't like reading all these stories about dog blood and harems. This novel contains everything that I hate. And I have no idea why I read this one. Maybe because the beginning was good, but the further the plot went on, the more difficult it became for me.

I feel sorry for the sc*m gongs. In stories like this, I always regret the shou because of the abuse and then the gong during his atonement. But here the MC is an absolute nonmotional sc*m.... more>> But I continued reading with hope for the finale. And the end p*ssed me off.

I rarely give one star. If the story is boring or I don't like it, I'll just stop reading it. But there is nothing worse if I liked the story at first, and then broke my expectations. I don't care what you think about that. I would put a minus if I could. Words cannot convey how I now hate this novel. <<less

I read the mtl and surprisingly I actually like it despite my dislike in dog blood and harem. It's not the typical abusive dog blood novel that's beyond salvation yet has a happy ending. This novel are full of abuse, manipulation and lack of integrity so don't expect for the MC to act upright and just in dealing the Mls especially that the Mls aren't good persons either. Also, even though the ending is abrupt it's the suitable ending.

Spoiler

In the end the MC choose none of them. He happily live after with his money.

[collapse]

The MC is dedicated in his goal, unforgiving and manipulative thus with his character the sc*m Mls aren't able to repent even if they want to. In my opinion, he never truly invested real emotions and just act accordingly to the plot so he changes his face real fast. His doings can be considered as punishment for the Mls based on their wrongdoings in the original plot.

Spoiler

Scum no. 1 in the og book he's very greedy, now he get neither the MC or the white moonlight.

Scum no. 2 the og shou truly love him but he didn't appreciate it so the MC makes him taste his own medicine.

Scum no. 3 his relationship with the og shou is due to brainwashing, without real feelings and has ulterior motive which is to bed him, the MC only reverse their place.

Scum no. 4 despite having a good relationship and saying his in love with the og shou he ended it just because his unclean which is hypocrisy, this time it's the MC who took initiative to end it.

Scum no. 5 in the og plot he chose to be a bystander, so the MC make him feel that in his messy relationships he has the least worth causing his own feeling of unworthiness and inferiority to get a higher level.

[collapse]

The only unsatisfactory thing for me is that I didn't get a suffering perspective of each Mls. <<less

I started this novel knowing it had no CP/no endgame because like come on... I can’t be the only one who’s super tired of Scum Male Leads always getting to be together with our MCs no matter how much damage they did? I’m not just talking about danmei but also the straight novels/manhwas I have read. Even in the crematorium genre of danmei, for me the redemption is nearly not enough for me to accept the Happy Endings! Every novel doesn’t have to have the couple get together at the... more>> end! Especially in the case of the scummy MLs who haven’t repented enough!

This novel satisfied me to no end giving me exactly what I came here! Yan Shuang managed it all so brilliantly... if you read the novel its obvious that YS doomed them to the same fate they pushed upon the original protagonist and it was effin satisfying when you notice it reading the novel.

Spoiler

Qin Yubai used Orig YS as a substitute, thought nothing of him and never appreciated his love-so YS after pretending to lose his memories, treated him the same way, giving him affection of all the men he slept with (treating him like a substitute) and later telling him that he meant nothing to him and thoroughly breaking his pride to pieces

Ji Yao in the original novel groomed YS and slept with him while saying they were friends and abandoned him -while YS did the same, called him his friend no matter what he did, pushed him deeper in to abyss, played him like a fiddle and groomed him into what JWA (JY’s dad) wanted and then abandoned him

Qi Feiyun in the original novel hypnotised the MC and used his as a s*ave-Yan Shuang was the one who used him for s*x instead making it clear from the start

Sheng Guangming-never understood the circumstances that forced the original MC in his current situation and abandoned him for being too dirty-YS made him fall in love with the depraved him and also made him experience the circumstances where he finally knew what it means to be helpless

Wei Yichen-was a spectator who abhorred the MC and wanted to break him to obtain him-YS made him into his dog and completely broke him instead making him understand that he was infallible and no one was worrhy

[collapse]

For the scum gongs, it was like what goes around, comes around. They payed for their sins for what they did in the original novel. Tho YS repeatedly said he didn’t care for original protagonist, I do think he took revenge for him.

Though it was satisfying as hell, it’s not like I didn’t feel bad for the scum gongs too, you see, because well most of them didn’t even do anything bad in this timeline and they suffered really badly that it was actually heartbreaking, not enough to make you shed tears but it did leave a bad taste (tho I did keep in mind what they did to the orig YS and thought they deserved it but still). So I have mixed feelings now, even though i’m super satisfied with the execution and everything since the Author imparted her message that you don’t need love to be happy, i’m also sad about the gongs. Well its my first time reading a no endgame novel, tho I have read a lot of non-romance ones, so no wonder I‘m undecided. But still my satisfaction is there and surpasses the bad aftertaste! I loved reading this novel, it was so worth it!!!

I took off a single star from my rating because even though I loved it, I did feel it needed to be more thrilling, it should have kept me more on the edge of my seat and make me reluctant to put it down. Despite the trilling and exciting events of the novel, it still felt kind of easy for the MC.I wanted something like the strategy to capture that scum gong, where sometime the MC would be pressed to a dead end and even then pull out, dazzling and stunning us all in the process, more effort and more ruthlessness. And also sometimes the story felt like it dagged just a lil bit but maybe now I think about it maybe that much writing was needed... ?

For people worrying about the angst, even though you might feel bad about the scum gongs sometimes and it might leave a bad aftertaste but thats all. The satisfaction will be there with you plus the amazing comedy as you read about how YS triumphs above all to achieve his lifelong dream of retirement!

I highly recommend this to everyone who’s not afraid of no endgame/no CP and wants to feel the satisfaction of Scum gongs getting their Karma! <<less

Spoiler

He rejects all of MLs without hesitation and does not have the slightest bit of infatuation for any of them, which is excellent because I despised them all. Too many scummy leads in these stories abuse and stalk and abduct and somehow end up "redeeming" themselves to the MC. Not here. Thank goodness! Some of the MLs get almost pitiable later on when they catch feelings and want to repent, but MC isn't taken by it and my cold black heart isn't either. I'm glad this story exists. Novel not recommended to read for the sane, moral, or human.

MC is a: “heartless super OP Gary Stu s*x addict shameless money grubbing perfect student system tasker” faced with one final world before retirement.

Systems are all evil so they input MC into the S level world before retirement to be r*ped repeatedly etc. They also do all sorts of other evil stuff vaguely mentioned in the background. Anyway the whole system branch is messed up.

There are 5 scum figures taking up the majority of the story. None of them are... more>> particularly interesting: there’s evil rich CEO, evil arrogant rich kid, evil cuckold butler to evil rich CEO, evil sad*st doctor, and straight man unclean hating boxer.

Of all of them, the only one the reader should feel active sympathy for is the not too bright boxer who doesn’t even get a storyline due to the author repeatedly mentioning that good people are easy to fool.

TLDR Summary: The story is rather simple, with the MC not really facing any issues over the course of the novel. The ending is your typical horrible rushed garbage, which really drags down the whole novel.

Forgetting how terrible the novel is from a moral standpoint, the story itself is clunky and not paced very well.

To be exact, the novel goes all over the place since the MC is cheating on time (and the author fails to explain how much time MC has) and you can really only figure out progress from the short bits where MC checks progress from the system.

Spoiler

While MC is hanging out (having lots of sex) with evil sad*st doctor, he tries to brush up on straight man unclean hating boxer while taking car rides from evil cuckold butler. During this, he’ll meet evil arrogant rich kid who will conflict with evil rich CEO and pretend to be crying. It’s basically a lot of this. Author messes up by basically slapping a lot of filler into this already convoluted storyline that provides no character depth or interest. MC likes good food -> lots of comments about MC eating good food. Or MC chatting with Secretary -> MC messing around while evil rich CEO working. It makes the story stagnant and packed.

[collapse]

As for your main character: MC is a scumbag, but it’s your typical abuse system novel. They’re a wish fulfillment character that easily manipulates everything with no problems. As a super veteran nothing can stop their retirement. Also, you can definitely not feel any chemistry with any of the characters and the MC.

Overall, there’s some okay consistency in story but the novel fails to provide you a reason to root for the MC or care about the fate of the story. Since the system isn’t portrayed as evil despite making the MC go through horrible things, there also is no villain to beat. Author even goes out of their way to state that MC doesn’t care about the original story. There’s so much OOC from the start that there is no point to having the actual original storyline other than the final markers to follow.

-1.7Hextillion due to actual story content but from a novel perspective is better in the first half and then worse in the second half than your typical crazy rapist sad*st madness brainless system tasker novel. There is no real ending to the story MC carried out and still makes no sense for the systems to sustain such garbage worlds.

Again, novel not recommended to read even if you want a no pairing novel. Mainly will just create disgust or disappointment in the garbage ending. Novel not recommend to those who like ruthless MC since MC really isn’t either. MC doesn’t really get to inflict any pain on the scum people particularly. Novel not recommended to those who like Op MC since MC is mostly just manhandled by scum gongs during the story.

Active PSA after looking at other reviews: Do not act like any of the people in this novel ever, especially the MC. So much nonsense evil. <<less

Essentially this story is about ... more>>
Spoiler

a transmitigator Yan Shuang who has to play the role of a severely abused MC. His goal is to get to the end of that world's story and to do that he was to interact and be abused by the 5 Male leads. However he doesn't want to be put in too much pain (even though he can't even feel the pain due to system powers) because he figures it will be harder to interact the other male characters with a destroyed body, so instead he seduces all of them so they end up falling in love with him enough to not abuse him as harshly as they did the original MC. They end up so desperate for him in the end but he chooses none of them and leaves because that is his one and only goal.

[collapse]

I thought this story was great. The MC is ruthless, so ruthless in fact that I admit that I skipped at least 6 chapters because of how pitiful the Male Leads were, it just was too hard to read their suffering sometimes even though they deserved it. I agree that this MC is unique in that he was actually able to take charge of this world without the original plot and system acting too much as limiters. In fact the system barely shows its presence. Usually in stories like this the system is the reborn MC's partner and is cute and dumb or cold and cruel and the reborn MC has to adopt the original MC's personality or there will be a penalty from the system and then there is this comedic disparity between the thoughts and actions of the reborn MC like: Out loud: "Get out of my sight, " In his head: 'wah! No don't leave me, you're my golden thigh!'

But THIS story's MC from start to end crafted unique personalities perfectly catering to each Male lead's tastes, snatching them up two at a time, completely reversing the 'who's in charge' dynamic between the MC and Male Leads, creating a f**ked up version of a harem, and giving a new tone to the original story.

The first chapter, although kind of an abrupt intro, explains the sins of the male leads:
Spoiler

You have Qin Yubai who trapped the original MC in a s*ave contract by pushing his father into debt and endlessly abused him just because he looked like Yubai's little brother Qin Qing, then Qi Feiyun who ripped and teared apart the original MC's body because of his special kink, then Ji Yao who lead on the original MC because he looks like first love Qin Qing and eventually used him for his body parts to save a dying Qin Qing, and finally Wei Yichen the assistant of Qin Yubai who acted like a bystander watching a play as he witnessed the abuse of the original MC. Finally, Shuang Guangming who was gonna marry the original but backed out when he found out he'd slept with several other men (the other Male Leads except Wei) before him.

[collapse]

Even though these people are guilty I still think it's okay to feel bad for the male leads because that's what the author wants. The characters would not consistently and seriously reflect on how pitiful they are throughout the story if the author did not also want the reader to feel that way. So if you also felt that they were pitiful then that just means that the author is doing their job. They felt especially pitiful because not only did the Male Leads try to redeem themselves at some point but the new MC himself constantly mentioned how unaffected he was no matter how scummy the Male Leads actions were thus progressively making the reader feel a bit unaffected as well (at least for me). So don't feel bad. (I say this because of some of the scathing comments towards sympathizers)

Also there actually are some chapters explaining the lives of the male leads after the main story ends but they're pretty brief.

Spoiler

When the time came for the male leads to find out they were being played with, I was so nervous and became speechless when the main character actually managed to get all the male leads to still desperately cling to him even when he started treated them like tr*sh. At the end I was sad when he didn't choose anyone but I also feel like it wouldn't be like Yan Shuang (the MC) if he had. Anyone and everything is a plaything to him. Even us, the audience. So if your heart broke when he didn't choose anyone, congrats, you have just felt a sliver of what the Male Leads felt and you have made the author very happy! It's okay to feel aggrieved about it. The only thing I really didn't like about the end is that I felt like Yan Shuang's relation with Qin Qing was just thrown in there randomly at the end and wasn't very fleshed out and Shuang Guangming's plot also felt a bit rushed (It was so short that I wasn't able to learn how someone of his character left the MC at the alter in the original plot, he seems like a good guy in the altered plot.)

it was a good read and I love the MC !

he is really heartless and smart never making the wrong choice

but I find the ending bad

In the end, you read about 150 chapters of psychological torture without having a chance to see the reaction of the characters after the MC leaves the world!!!!!!!!!! It's the worst thing that could happen to you
It's like cutting your finger with the last spike!

the amount of joy I get from the MC being his cool and relentless self. I have no words. Im honestly kind of sad to say that i've completed the novel now. The past 3 days have honestly been so fun and now I dont have anything to read anymore :,)

If you've read the warning/spoiler, don't let it stop you! The story is worth the read. It's comedic but it still has angst. Yan Shuang knows what he wants and he'll get it no matter what. He's definitely one of my favorite MCs now. And I feel like most people would like him too. If you're not sure, you'll have to find out for yourself :{D

I remember coming across this novel at least three times and each time I'd turn away because of the little warning/spoiler from the translator. But... more>> I got curious. Just how will he deal with all these scum gongs at once?

Spoiler

And why do people feel bad for the gongs?! What happened in the end that made these scums turn pitiful?

[collapse]

I needed to know. So I read it. Turns out they received a lesson from Master Yan Shuang! And not only that, he delivered a message for everyone reading as well.

Spoiler

You don't necessarily need anyone to live a fulfilling life. All you need is a planet for yourself and a pet T-rex.

This novel teaches you, you don't have to fall for a person to be happy! Be independent be strong, deny scums Gongs and take your freedom, buy your planets raise your dragons-dinosaurs!

The novel was just stretching an unnecessary angst plot. I was expecting MC origins to have something to do with his retirement world. His twin looking identical and the painting stuff.. But hahhahha you go read yourself to find out.

The favourite thing to read is of course watching MC toying with all these scum Gongs till the point you... more>> feel bad for them. But you have to remember what they did in the original novel. So I can't sympathize with these Chinese commenters raging against the author for the ending.

MC personality is the best. I love him so much. Money first, everything else can be negotiable as long as it doesn't affect him. But prepare to suffer if you get In his way hehe.

Read this, I throughly enjoyed how MC tortured these scum Gongs, we while laughing my head off on his antics and the stuff he says hahha.

Recommend for comedy and sadistic lovers <<less

Uhh, I'm writing this review after finishing the novel ig...

sh*t THAT'S F*CKING SATISFYING.

HOLY CRAP, I LOVE THE PLOT. I LOVE THE MC. HE REALLY F*CKED THE MLS UP. DESERVE ENDING.

I can only say that WOW. The first time I found this novel I honestly dropped it after 20 chapters. Then after reading the spoiler:

Spoiler

The MC didn't end up with anyone at the end. He has his own goals and just wanted to live in his own planet with his pet dinosaur

[collapse]

I decided to read it again since that kind of tragic ending is just my cup of tea. Especially the MC, I LOVE his "ruthlessness" and nonchalant personality. I'm tired of transmigration trope where MC still falls for "scum turned gentle after f**ck" kind of gong. Though I love Chu Muyun from NTPTSMWTD for his same type of coldness, Yan shuang is definitely more of my favorite type of "cold and detached MC". Because HE GETS EVEN AND ONLY CARES ABOUT HIMSELF!

First, the angst! Wife chasing crematorium! Regret, guilt Yesss!! Scum gong abuseee!!! Gong abuseee is my favoriiteeee.

Until, the end, I don't pity any of them even if they looked Haggard and ready to die for MC!!

One of my favorite were the times he was pretending to be a white lotus and the scums really fell for it lol. But even when he's not the " white lotus" they expected, they still fell d*mn hard for him!

Objectively, the MC is "cruel". At least, for the people aware of his real personality. But personally IMO, if you ask me: " Isn't he being too much? " "They love him so much, isn't he too cruel? "

No, I don't think so. Yes, at some point I did think the scum gongs are suffering too much, BUT I never pitied them nor felt sorry for them. JUST THINK OF WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OG SHOU?-their sufferings aren't even worth mentioning compared to the MENTAL, EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE the og shou experienced!

If I happen to waver, then I would return to chapter one and read the summary of the original story. Then I'd be apathetically reading their gong abuse and suffering again after 100 chapters and say "They f*cking deserve it! " "Yan shuang is queen! Yes! Go on, I don't get*ve a f*ck about their feelings! "

I'll think that "If Yan shuang isn't cruel, then the gongs won't even fall for him and he'll just be a second Og " Yang shuang" of the original novel.

So, I think Yan shuang is the perfect protagonist for this type of world.

Another note for the original Yan shuang and...

Spoiler

... his brother, Qin Qing, or should I say, Yuan Man. I would love a different story of them, living a happy life together after eloping. I'm actually not disappointed for the reason why two souls went missing in this world causing the MC to trans migrate here for his retirement world. That's the best outcome for them. Honestly, unlike other stories where the original owner just died without knowing why and was replaced, these twins (Og Yan Shuang and Qin Qing) were much better off escaping from that horrible future. They chose to leave on their own. Though I am curious where they run off to, I'll just think that they're somewhere living happily without the suffering that they ought to suffer in their original world. Qin Qing honestly love his younger brother, Yan Shuang and vise versa. It was perhaps a good thing that Qin Qing managed to "know the future" that's why they ended up leaving the world without warning.

Want a strong, confident, pretty, hot and manipulative Mc? THEN THIS IS THE NOVEL FOR YOU!

[Making this review at chp 47.]

Watching all the scum ML's and maybe some side characters slowly fall into the abyss (meaning slowly going crazy for Mc), mentally because of him is so damn satisfying to read. Yan Shuang, the main character, always exceeds my expectations everytime I think he'll be in a tight spot. One thing I'd like to point out is how indirectly MC treats the ML's like they're walking banks, except the banks... more>> only give money away.

Mc's smart, experienced and is a VERY good actor; He shows a different type of "face" individually for each of the five (5) scum ML's, each distinct from eachother while maintaining a logical sense when said out loud.

And the ML's... Actually aren't all bad (In the OG novel). Specifically at Ji Yao and Wei Yichen IMO. Wei Yichen might've been scum at the end but he wasn't as abusive or forceful, same with Ji Yao too.

The novel just makes you want to read MORE. Like I literally have to force myself to stop checking CG for updates and wait for like 2-4 weeks only to have like six (6) chapters to read and read it all in less than 10 minutes. 😭

So if you're planning to read this, I highly suggest! My review shows no justice to how good the writing of this novel is. Don't lower your expectations, read it for yourself first before assuming for the worst! <<less

4/5 stars

I enjoyed it. MC was a great actor. Senior transmigrator on his last world so you know he knows what he’s doing. The way he handles each target is just *chefs kiss*!!! Usually I don’t like angst but I tend to like it if our MC has no feelings haha... I think this novel might have met all my requirements for a cold, unfeeling, sly, manipulative, and not dense MC 👌 everything he did made each target worship him without seeming too unreasonable. Very satisfying to read. I MTLd... more>> the rest bc I couldn’t wait 🥲

However, the ending was a little lackluster. Technically it ended exactly the way it should have. But I kind of wanted to see what happened to all the gongs after MC left.

I actually really liked this MC! I would love to see all his other transmigrations! Seems fun. <<less

It's a game. And only one side will. There's no in-between. Because the stake is... themselves.

Whoever shows weakness will lose.

Constant schemes, manipulation and implacable acting. MC was ruthless throughout.

MC never felt any love for anyone. He never swayed. Tbh, those gongs are not worthy anyway.

Every one of them wanted to break MC and enjoy the process. So, why should we sympathise when the players got played.

They deserved it anyway.
