I have no idea how and why this is rated so high, the novel brings nothing new to the table to the genre and if you have anything half decent you would come to realize how bland this novel really is.

The novel is a cheap immitation of some mafia at best, it's like someone watched 2-3 mafia movies and decided to write this novel. There's zero depth to main character let alone any other character in this novel, the novel just goes from one instance to another there's no tension,... more>> no depth and the dialouge dont at all feel natural. MC doesn't feel at all as a human.

I don't know why anyone would want to read this medicore garbage, if you like reincarnated into game world/novel genre, there are dime a dozen good novels within that genre, and if you like mafia genre there's just so many western things for you to enjoy rather than whatever this is. <<less

Thank you so much for translating this, I aapreciate it. It is fun reading this novel. While I was reading this novel on NobleMtl, I was praying so hard that someone would pick it up and translate it. The Mtl is horrible but I bear with it because I like the Mafia stuff. This novel is quite addictive though. Everytime I try to stop reading it (because of the Mtl), it "pulls me back in". ;)

Cool theme and lots of potential but killed by bad writting.

MC gets a power up by doing achievements that couldn't be any easier. Anything he does gives him a new skill that he needs at exactly the moment he needs. He is a reincarnated guy who trained for like 1 week and is already strong and has no problems because the achievements given him a skill to keep calm no matter the circumstances. It's very bizarre.

He gets a item that can search any weapon in the world by making 5 people respect him or something, the system is ridiculous. And he chooses a item that is apparently super broken and just happened to be in a downtown shop in korea somehow and nobody knew about it. Then the first time he uses the weapon it instantly upgrades because he made 10 people fear the weapon.

This could've been a really good novel without the system or with a better one but for me it's just a 3/5 because of it. Still readable if you like the Mafia theme and the references but I wouldn't recommend it. <<less

It had a great start, the stories is kinda generic beside the background he came from and it seems that character will have a real depth to it.

I'm hyped up for this, kinda fresh. Reminds me when I'm still new to webnovel and really dedicated to reading novel.

The title is a bit confusing but basically the setting is that the MC get's transported into a game world that is sort of our world just that some I believe 30+ years ago it got invaded by monsters + mana so now a lot of ppl have superpowers of some kind.

The MC then becomes the son of the mafia boss in the biggest and strongest mafia in the world but because he's a teenager he goes to the school for elite people with superpowers and he decides to take... more>> over the school and to do that he starts a club / mafia branch at school but he has to keep his identity low-key cause of all the enemies the family has.

He then has to juggle his life as a person studying at the school and working as the heir to the mafia. There isn't much to the story that makes it stand out in anyway but it is alright and an okey read. For the most part it's about the MC growing stronger though for a lot of the stuff he gathers to grow stronger we don't really get much info outside of wow this is the super rare elixir that will make me stronger! Then the MC usually just eats it and we don't really get much of an explanation on why or how he's gotten stronger unless he awakens some new ability or skill or something. Not sure why there is a harem tag on this story since in the about 500+ chapters I've read there has been 0 romance of any kind even though a few girls do seem interested in the MC there really isn't much focus in the story outside of the MC + gang growing stronger and him inreasing his influence + power in the school or in the underworld in some way. <<less

but either the translation or author writing style make me too dizzy to read.

its rare reading korean MC who strive to become a boss.

I'm happy to see this mafia concept appear in a novel under this genre of dropping into game worlds. Being a successor in a world of monsters and superhumans is such a new experience for me.

If you're here to see the MC go through quests and missions while gaining respect and fear with a weapon that even you would not expect to see in this novel then open up chapter one and enjoy.

It's kinda awful. I really want to like it, but the writing is so generic that it's painful to read.

The story wears a "mafia" paint job, but there's nothing ever threatening or menacing about any of them. They aren't even doing anything illegal and are pretty much okayed by the government to rule over part of the country.

There are never any stakes in the story. All of the characters are bland. The combat it dreadfully uninteresting.

It's not lower because it is still pretty average for this sight, but they seriously wasted an interesting premise: a post-apocalyptic fantasy Mafia story on earth.

What do you think someone who is hiding (poorly, I might add) that they are a mafioso would call a club they establish as a base of operations inside a school? Freaking "Famila". What kind of 0 IQ dumbass people teach at and attend this academy? Also, I wonder if the student that has the nickname "boss" and lugs around a Tommy gun has any connection to the Mafia? That couldn't possibly be true.

Yet another case of inconsistency in translation.

Especially with the characters' names like the instructor's name being Ji Soo-Hyun but in the first translator's work, it was Joo Soo-Hyun. There was a chapter where I got confused about who the h*ll was Jisoo-Hyun/Jisoo-Yeon so I checked the raws. It happened with Choi Yeon too being Choi Yeon-Ah in another chapter.

As of the 11th chapter, the translator changed Ji Soo-Hyun's name to Lee Ji-Hyun (can't remember, lol) but on the raws, it's still Ji Soo-Hyun. So I don't know what's happening there. 👀


I do also think that the translation of the non-Korean names could've been better. For example, Corleone should've been Carlione since the Hangul is 칼리오네 (kallione). Blunte would've been better as Blunty since it sticks to the Hangul and it could've been read as blunt which is different from the original 블런티 (beulleonti/blonti). Bevalt too, is better as Bivalt/Vibalt/Vivalt. Closer to the Hangul, being 비발트 (bibalteu/bibalt).

Do not get me wrong, I'm not doing this to discredit the translators' hard work. I'm just ranting and will always be grateful for their work.

The story so far is entertaining with the generic plot other than the MC being an heir to a mafia organization. I have read up to Chapter 251 (MTL. 🤢 It gave me headaches, lmao) and there are some boring parts but it's addictive and makes you want to read more. I love their family dynamic too.

3/5 for me so far. <<less

A pretty generic Korean novel wearing an italian skin. The translation is pretty bad too, has an MTL feeling to it.

Back when Chinese webnovels dominated this site, it sense sense why KR novels were rated so highly, as they were fresh and written in a different style, now though? They're a dime a dozen.

  • 3/5, or average. Worth reading if you like mafia theme.

Pretty standard dude wakes up in a novel/game as a side character but the mafia stuff puts a surprisingly refreshing twist on the formula. Definitely worth a read as of writing this, especially if you love anything to do with mafia/secret organization stuff.

The MC is amazing at everything they do and there is zero tension for the majority of what happens. The story basically just turns into a loose series of arcs where the MC does a thing, and then gets a new broken ability or item thrown at him, over and over. Nothing feels very important and it just kind of meanders around aimlessly. I'll probably continue reading it just because it updates frequently and I've already gotten this far, but I can't say I recommend it.

The translation is fast but honestly pretty terrible, constant pronoun errors, utterly bizarre sfx choices, poor grammar and often times just bad or clearly wrong wording. Its pretty obvious the translator isn't actually fluent in English. After the 100th chapter or so the translation gets even worse too.

I like the concept of mafia or something like gangster but mafia/gangster in the academy which is a hero school? They don't do anything mafia worthy to be honest. It's more like a second-generation villain in the hero academy. It will be okay or at least a novel you read just to get by but the line or dialogue is weak, like really really weak.

MC uses his family connection and power but does not just give his full name, which will automatically scare people but you know what, No. He... more>> uses almost everything but the name of the group itself. How come almost nobody recognizes the MC who is the heir son of the godfather of the underground world? Even the heir of the direct subordinates. But any of that is just really a minor problem. As I said the top line/dialogue needs to be improved. <<less

I am unsure how this is rated so high.

It has the traditional WN problem of skin-deep side characters, but it has further problems in that it's edgy to the point of cringe. WN's are almost always edgy, it's half the fun but google translated italian wanna-be mafia stuff plastered everywhere is just way too much.

The writing prose is also pretty bad. Grade schooler stuff.

I'm loving it!! Maybe because it's my first time reading something with the concept of mafia family.

MC is OP and always gets his way but its not that much of a bother since the plot is novel for me, its very interesting that I want to keep reading even though he doesn't struggle much. I also feel envious sometimes lmao like damn, I wish that was me, where 50 million is like pocket money 😭

Characters are good too, they don't feel flat at all. So far so good, I hope... more>> future chapters don't disappoint. <<less

I didn't really expect to enjoy this story, despite its overwhelmingly positive review, since it seemed a bit outside of my preferred niche. That said, I was overwhelmed with the desire to binge read it in one go. I regret nothing.

Honestly, if you can get past chapter 1, the story shoild hook you just fine. The most annoying thing about the entire reading experience are minor grievances at best. Every once in a while a word or name seems to be omitted, but it's not vital to understanding what's going... more>> on. <<less

This is essentially a power fantasy With a Gary Stu MC that just has everything pretty much handed to him on a silver platter.

Weapon? Just yoink it from the the most random of places. (With a very convenient backstory plot so its not completely out of nowhere. Also, mafia connections!)

Equipment? Oh hey here's a quest for you to go help this poor old man who is actually a master craftsman.

Allies? Excluding the dad and the master, everyone else really do feel like shallow yes-men after peeling off their surface... more>> personalities. (I don't even want to mention about how some of them don't even suspect him being mafia with the blatant hints he leaves)

Abilities/Skill? My man gets so much bullsh*t passives that 100 chapters in it feels like only the absolute top 5% of characters in the novel can stomp him.

Enemies? Roflstomped in 5 chapters. Less if its a mob, a bit more if its a raid boss.

That being said, I do personally enjoy reading this novel, there are some parts that are funny and I do enjoy

I like the story so far, it gives me a nice slow fast paced story telling. Thank you for TL who's working hard for this novel.

I don't like how the TL don't want to be consistent in names and gender, sometime "she" and "he", "him" and "her" are always mixed. It doesn't give me a any hard time but sometimes it does, whnever I want to go and lightly read, but become confused on who's talking, whom they talking, and have to re read.

I like this novel, I really do, but the translation quality is kinda poor and the author's skill is kinda lacking making it seem like its written by a highschooler, so minus 1 star. Then theres the translator's site, its so full of ads and popups its beyond cancerous, minus another star. However, I really enjoy the whole Italian mob theme going on so thats saved it for me. Overall 3/5.
