The novel has a pretty cool premise.

no clue why the ratings are so low because currently the novel is great.

Protagonist is sent into this Fantasy Romance manga which is about a girl going inside a Fantasy Romance manga with the power of infinite regression.

... more>> Yeah hella confusing to explain but pretty easy to understand once you read it.

Now our MC is basically an ultra chad archmage wizard, mastermind, power in the shadows.

And let's just say he acts like that as well....

MC acts appropriately for his age and position, there is some romance but it seems like the novel won't just be a 'fantasy Romance' novel.

I have high expectations for this!! <<less

This is a really neat concept. It's like a novel within a novel. There are really two MCs. Abel (the male MC) has transmigrated from a modern world into a novel with a female transmigrated MC. He has knowledge of the story and her abilities. However he has been in this world since childhood and has become a bit twisted because of it. Adele (the female MC) transmigrated more recently and is unaware that Able has knowledge of the story. She herself actually doesn't have much foreknowledge and is mostly... more>> getting through with trial and error through her ability to regress in short spans (from random save-points). <<less

Imo this novel deserves more hype and higher rating.

The story is a combination of regression and reincarnation, yeah, nothing new but how it was incorporated to the characters makes this unique.

MC acted really like a mastermind, but it is not forced acting but rather it was the result of living there and experiencing it firsthand. For the FMC, her regression is like a dual edge sword that makes her character more interesting.

I also want to highlight how the main villain and other supporting characters have their own depth and stories... more>> to tell. The world setting is also being built as the story progress. And the romance, it's slow burn but it have the right amount to not interfere to the essence of this novel.

For someone like me who grown tired of harem and not making any sense type of romance, this is like an oasis, enough to satisfy the dulling senses of reading with enough action, fantasy and mystery to keep me at bay. <<less

the premise of the story is great and if you are a fan of a capable and mature male protagonist falling in love with slightly naive but still capable female lead, then you should definitely read it...

the complain that I have is that for some reason everyone of male protagonist's subordinate is useless af, the male protagonist always has to come forward and save the day (or female lead has to use her ability to save the day)... like why even bother including the subordinates in the story and actions... more>> if it is going to be the same every time...

to end on a positive note abel is one my most fav male protagonist in a Korean novel... he acts his age, smart, caring (but very manipulative towards his enemy) and is actually only loyal to one girl <<less

This looks promising imo. Nothing too substantial has happened yet and characters look lacking personality but it still feels like a rofan shaping up to a good romance.

I love the main couple. The slowburn is so good and the plot is also banging; the schemes? The fight between the royal family + the male lead?? The mystery??? The bloodsoaked action??? Delicious.

My only complaint is I feel a little scammed since it says right there "romance fantasy" but it doesn't have that much romfan tropes because its flavor is more on intrigue and dark fantasy type of story; I opened this thinking I'd get sour and sweet berries and white chocolate but instead found strong and nutty liquor-infused... more>> dark chocolate. Like, its still delicious and totally my type but kinda a let down since its not what I was expecting when I looked at the packaging, you know?

But!! The romance!!! Is still sweet!!! Just a more mature and mellow flavor but still sweet!!! <<less

Pretty good, but I'm honestly a little bitter.

The story is a fun blend of reincarnation and regression. The highlight of the story I would say is the mystery and the characters. Every character has a certain depth that genuinely leaves you with questions on how they will act. This depth of mystery is mostly tied to the spotlight villain of the story which isn't a bad thing by any means since it leaves you with real worries. Lastly, the romantic chemistry is very cute.

The world-building is fun with it adhering... more>> to the typical romance-fantasy novel tropes whilst also applying unique concepts tied to magic and story conflicts. The combat is decent as well, showing instances of engaging writing, however still, none of the writing has me blown away.

Overall, while the story does a pretty good job, I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece. Funnily enough, I actually find the original novel that the female lead was supposed to live through far more interesting. I would've absolutely loved the unbelievable obstacles she would have had to go through, given she didn't have an all-knowing male lead to steal the show and her lack of talent makes me so curious how she would overcome the numerous regressions.

I would give it a read if you like the genre, but still, the original story they talk about just leaves me jealous I don't get to read it. A real shame.

So I dropped this novel. The main reason is I got tired of waiting through filler. The novel has all the makings of a good novel. Plot, characters and writing style. The translator has pretty good taste. When I read this novel I feel like the author is just playing a joke on me by hiding information the characters know. There are also too many POVs. It doesn't add to the novel. Sure sometimes a different POV is just what the novel needs but any time information is rehashed I... more>> just tap out.

With all that said I can understand why someone would continue with this novel. I will put this on the shelf until its complete and skim through it one last time. <<less
