Hello, everyone, I'm the one translating this novel. I would like to inform you of something before you give it a try.

Firstly, I decided to translate it when I was reading the raws. From a reader's standpoint, I really enjoyed it and wanted more and more chapters to read. At the same time, I also wanted many other readers to go through what I did.

The start would be routine, but after a few chapters, you can notice the plot progressing a lot faster with lots of humor leading to your... more>> stomach ache. This is more like face-slapping Protagonists from the Urban genre. Many times, you might contradict what the Villain does but gradually you come to sympathize with him. In a world where he got himself substituted as a Villain, the only way for him is to rob the Protagonist out of everything he had.

From a reader's review I read, he reviewed that this novel is partly inferior to Gao Fushuai which I probably wouldn't really acknowledge. This and that are completely different.

Wang Haoran, the Villain, acts as a perfect Villain while the other novel's Villain is a Villain only in name and is more inclined towards gaining affection from the heroines and much other stuff. As we know, A Villain has to find ways trouble for a Protagonist but he shouldn't get himself invested in the heroines which would distract from his character setting.

In here, you could say that Villain stays true to his origin. And this is what makes it different from any other 'similar' novel. The later events would definitely pique the reader's interest.

As I said before, as a newbie translator, I did take care to translate each and every line to the best of my ability. There might have been mistakes, I hope you wouldn't really mind that.

This novel is not serious-oriented. This is more like a comedy type with a lot of fun. Do read it! <<less

Edit: I've read the translators review and I can see where they're coming from. They've definitely read more than I have so I'd say maybe give it a shot. Perhaps it gets better in later chapters? Don't let my review deter you from reading it. Though I personally might not come back to it, some others might definitely find enjoyment in this novel.

——————————————————

Well, it's alright. I'd say in most aspects, it's inferior to Gao Fushuai Villain, except this novel's MC has more s*x. Otherwise, I'd read the other one instead.

The... more>> MC here is pretty villainous in comparison. He doesn't mind manipulating women and paying them for their 'services' to achieve his goals. Obviously as a villain it should be said as such, but as a main character of a novel, I find it pretty unlikeable and tbh, kind of distasteful to read.

The schemes and plotting in this novel are fairly simplistic too, with everything basically going the MCs way. Not a bad thing, but it does get boring sometimes.

For character interactions, all the girls are pretty cliche. Which actually makes sense in context of the novel, but their personalities are pretty bland and the romance kind of sucks. Girls are achieved with relative ease and their relationship with the MC feels pretty cold and distant.

The novel's alright, like a 3.6 star I guess, rounded up to 4 :) <<less

Actually a decent "villain" novel...

He thinks like a villain and work like a villain... He also knows how to use his strength well as a villain. I kinda like that he always jabs on the urban CN novel trope that it's already a routine for him.

The only qualms about this novel is that his luck on women is too big on the end part... It already has worked for him too well that those "heroines" would just fall at his lap at first glance. Quite a big harem too (20+... more>> heroines married, 5+ maids on serving) which already is bad, I can't even remember most of what their personality traits are on ending, prominent ones should be on the middle part, actually good enough to get out of "cardboard cutouts" abit, worst part is early and near-end part (cultivation), early ones have lost their screentime and uniqueness, latter part is just tantalizing/beautiful and no personality other than being a jade beauty...

Storywise, it's consistent. Upside cancels out most of the downtime here and it really is a blast to finish it till the end.

In the end it's 4/5 for me, it's a good read for the most part and it delivers till near the end. Too bad it's rushed too much on the end, could've been fleshed better <<less

A decent story but can get repetitive. The main point of the story is to prevent the protagonists of other harem urban novels from rising and the MC deals with them, mostly in the form of preventing them from making contacts with heroines. Although interesting in the beginning it becomes rather boring as he does not really live the life, but just prevents other protagonists from rising. Without paying too much attention to heroines it soon gets the flavour that the MC has no interest in the heroines and just... more>> uses them. At one point he even catfishes heroes pretending to be the heroine he is with. I don't recommend binge reading it. <<less

fun to read and same "quality" till last chapter, unlike usual dragging author knows to finish novel before reader become bored of it... I wish he would have wrote another arch.

even if MC plays with the girls feellings, lies and fools them, at least he goes all out to protect and remember them, even in the end despiste his unwillness to risk danger, he part in a jorney to find one girl in another universe.

I do think the ability to charm women gets a little too op at some point,... more>> but it avoids dozens of repetitive chapters about pursuing girls;

harem: more than 10 and less than 20 I think, just in case. <<less

well written but there is no real plot.

just a ton of heroines ad heroes the ML wastes his time manipulating. Doesn't he get bored of flirting with different girls who haven't done anything to him?

IDK the ML just gives off bad vibes and doesn't really treat the other characters like real people. And everyone is so 2-dimensional so there are no surprises.

harem should mean multiple emotional connections. This kind of story gets tedious after a while so its best to drop it early

Read a few chapters and hooked on it, read the rest in raw/mtl.

I must say the novel is really is entertaining, it mocks the clichés of protagonists & villains in urban novel, it even mock the novel itself!!! (Mentioning from being an urban novel to cultivating novel).

To truly appreciate this novel, you must read a lot of urban novels to gets the tropes that is mentioned. The MC in this novel really acts like a villain and the protag really acts like a protag.

Especially like the pacing and length of... more>> the novel, at 755 chapters it manage to cover most of the clichés that urban novel have before it turn boring. There are certain elements that keep the novel entertaining such as; protag/villain halo points and villain point bonus.

The novel can be divided into two part,

The first part is where MC really acts like a villain, he pursue the heroines, f*ck them then don't care about them. The protag/villain halo plays a big role in the first part that make it fresh.

The second part is where MC is too OP for minor protag, he treats them as cashcows and squeeze all of villain point that the protag could offer. MC relationships with the conquered heroines also turns better as he treats them as lover.

If you are a fan of Netori tag, this novel right here will really suit your taste. <<less

I've gotta f*cking say it. This is the best f*cking CN novel I've read.

MC is a badass, scheming, shameless villain. If that's not your cup of tea, you should back down.

Alot of satisfaction by f*cking up protagonists of different generic novels you find these days.. they're mostly copies of same sh*t with different names.. like god of war son in law, Golden finger novel where MC can recognize artifacts, system novels like shenhao system which gives monie, cars various luxury to MCs, or Gaming system, or the most popular return... more>> / rebirth of whatnot sh*t emperor/ master / cultivator sh*t etc etc... like pretty much all the cliche urban novels you could find these days...

This novels MC, f*cks them all up, cucks their heroines, and kills them.. well that much you can guess from the title... the novel is very f*cking satisfying. Definitely 100% recommend. Oh and he marries all harem members in the end. <<less

A funny, and logical novel, the MC is evil and a scumbag but at least not a hypocrite with himself, there are some flaws in the novel, but it was so wish fulfilling and enjoyable that I can't give less than 5 stars. Highly recommend

It was great till 433ish and I felt a major moral crisis and couldn't read. Why? With these villain type novels, I can understand the need to shut the moral compass and conscience. However...

Spoiler

The MC causes the death of the son and father. The mother has somewhat of a guilty conscience but goes along with the MC. This is just too @#$#@ for my taste.

Interesting to a certain extent, but becomes a bit boring halfway through. Just felt that the pacing was much too slow in regards to the MC's progression with women and just his overall dealing with protagonist. For such a short novel, things quickly became repetitive and I was forcing myself to read, even skipping chapters at times.

MC- not a fan. Hate how low key he is in everything he does. Continues to get underestimated and looked down upon. Moreover, his treatment towards some of his women is sometimes entirely uncalled... more>> for. Loves to call himself a villain, but half the time he's hiding his tail and only bullies women. Harem- Quite frankly, I like them, but this novel is just too much. Every 10-15 chapters he meets several new women. By the end, he as least has 30-40 women if not more. Overall, a decent read, but nothing really all that praiseworthy and would only recommend reading if you're bored. <<less

This is pure gold.

Way better than those tr*shy villain novels which starts good but always goes to tr*sh can.

But this novel gets better and better.

But don't read this novel first, if you do then when you read other villain novels then you will find them boring.

And the ending was satisfing. I finished reading all 755 chapters in a week and damn it was worth it.

to be fair I rated it based on how much I liked it and how entertaining it was

like how he handles the protags and it's really easy to read...I really like the MC, he's smart and there's no time that I was pissed at him for being s*upid... he isn't doing s*upid things (like making a mistake and giving the protags a chance) just to add some spice and drama... he's really thoughtful, cautious and knows how to hide his cards well, (like his strength)... sometimes I was irritated (hmm... more>> it's really a small number of times about 2-3 instances) but it was saved by the explanation on why he did that or how it was portrayed after.. he's really likable

he doesn't dive into business that much and there's no gang wars (tug of war for power in the dark side with the protags) or unnecessary instances just there to showcase his awesomeness due to him being underestimated (sometimes being always underestimated while being a supposed villain is irritating, that's a protag routine, I don't want the villain MC to undergo such treatment).. it's pure, it's almost all about the setting of traps for the protags and making the heroines fall

you should give it a shot if you're tired of a MC that's always undergoing some sh*tty situations just to add some spice... of course there's some situations that made my heart pump with anticipation and some interesting circumstances due to bad luck.. but it's all ok cause it's an easy and entertaining to read at the end of the day... this novel also doesn't have any forced and escalated situations with the protags, their overall dispute is done just right and it isn't irritating

I also want to point some things out.. some say that unlike the start, the female heroines were falling in love at first sight with the MC (it isn't really always like that)... though tbh I'm really fine with that... it's not a dating sim, so why should the author focus on that very much (heck the protags halo were even more unreasonable if the MC didn't do anything about it).. it also can be seen that it was being somewhat rushed by the end so it's just like that to get the story going <<less

I kinda devoured this novel after I started reading it. I pretty much enjoyed the world building and the going around collecting women. I was especially surprised how well the author integrated cultivation towards the middle of the story in the plot. What stands out to me the most is that the side characters from earlier "quests" don't just get randomly lost, they actually reappear from time to time. The only negative would be the rushed ending, started around the last 50 chapters.

This one is basically all about the MC being a villain and face slapping the heroes while stealing their heroines. It starts out pretty good but it eventually devolves into focusing mostly on the MC stealing heroines and then cucking the heroes.

I honestly liked this one quite a bit as it does a good job showcasing how most of these CN novel heroes are narcissistic psychopaths overall. Like while the MC is a villain and even embraces his own role he knows he's on the side of "evil" but he's... more>> also aware that since he's the villain he can't act like the hero, though he often does anyway.

For instance when insulted, ignored or just straight up if someone is close to the hero's girl or a girl the hero has his eyes on. The hero will often times just straight up beat up, cripple or mu*der the person and then get away with it. The MC on the other hand will often times call the police and act like a "good" citizen though he admits that he wants to act the same as mentioned previously he knows that it will most likely trace back to him in someway.

Most of the heroes that appear for some larger part are based on popular CN works and they usually hold the same powers and settings. I personally liked this a lot since it really showcased how over the top some of these heroes are.

The first hero and probably the only hero that actually gives the MC any problem is the x-ray hero who is shown to for instance not care about studying and instead only thinks about cheating with his x-ray powers, which is pretty much what happens in those stories, while he brags or thinks it's in his right to cheat however much he wants and that this somehow is his own achievement.

Another hero who is shown as the God of War is shown to have fallen in love with a girl back when he was a beggar so now that he's gotten powerful he uses his connections to force the girls family to almost go bankrupt and then by trickery manages to convince them that they have to marry their daughter to him so that everything get's better. Then when it all get's revealed instead of apologizing he claims that he's the only one worthy of her and that she should be thankful that she was able to marry him. Which pretty much is the trope in similar stories just that in those cases the God of War has slowly managed to get the girl to love them and then when it's all revealed it becomes less of a big deal and the girl eventually forgives him caues she now loves him. But in this case the villain (MC) actually get's in between and makes the girl fall in love with him instead before the hero has a chance to make the forced marriage stick.

So all in all my greatest enjoyment in this story was to see how ludicris the heroes actually are in these stories especially when it comes to treating women. The MC however doesn't treat them right either and there isn't really any romance development outside of the MC using his system to mostly force them to love him by some way. <<less

Its not masterpiece or anything, in fact its a peak wish fulfilment type of novel.

Just like the title say, his role is a villain, he has huge background, rich and handsome. So he basically has it all, his job is to mess with anyone that has the protagonist Halo, like stealing their lover, embrasssing them in public, destryoing their image, etc.

And since hes a villain, he Will do lots of scummy thing, at one point you Will even feel bad for those protagonist.

The novel is not Perfect and has its... more>> flaw, like for example on how the MC is never truly faced any actual dificulties.

But anyway I still give it a 4 since I enjoyed it, this type of novel is good for you who just want to relax and feel good. <<less

Firstly I apologize for my bad English. Just completed the book and honestly, it's one of the best of this genre. There are so many opponents our MC has to deal with and except for a couple of protagonists, he defeated the rest in some chapters. What kind of protagonist isn't there? We have rebirth, reincarnated, mercenary king, also protagonists with systems. Altogether I think there are around 20 people opponents. Meanwhile, our MC is literally a villain just as the title says. He committed all kinds of bad stuff... more>> a villain could possibly do. I personally feel bad for some of the protag, especially the last one, (poor guy). The more the story progresses the messier it gets, heroines easily keep falling for MC, MC gets to op in short chapters, and toooo many heriones. Again as the name says, MC is really a villain, so be prepared for all his notoriously. <<less

  1. The Rich Second Generation Villain's Father
  2. Gao Fushuai
  3. Villain Seized The Heroine
  4. This (I Became The Rich Second Generation Villain)
this is my personal ranking for this genre so far, Gao Fushuai ranked 2 just because it got more "free" chapter that you can read MTL, personally it's story later on is pretty weak.

Now back to review, plot progress slow 100ish chapter and MC still in high school, there's no "interesting" protagonist and after reading Second Generation Villain's Father MC power in this story almost "tasteless", the heroine is just there for his... more>> convenience, the worst is his parent they're just a sidekick. <<less

I don't understand why there's a lot of low rating but despite how bad this novel is, I think it is still much better compare to some novel out there, especially of the same genre.

First of all, The MC is a villain. He is a villain in and out. Just think of this novel being on the point of view of the villain. His character is so bad he doesn't mind paying for heroines body just to achieve his goal (killing the protagonist) there's an example of this but if... more>> you don't want to get spoil then skip the spoiler.
Spoiler

The secretary of his mom is the heroine of one of the protagonist, step sis of the protagonist. This heroine needs money so the MC gives her money in exchange for her body. Usually this won't happen in any story as the protagonist will save the heroine but unfortunately, or in this case, fortunately the pov is on the villain so no saving damsel in distress. But the worst part of that is the MC manipulate the heroine's mind after that. This is what happen, since the heroine sold her body for money, people will speculate where that money came from right?thus gossips will happen so the MC said to her that he will make her brother go to an antic store, what ever he pick there, the MC will buy for money. So what happen is, ¹the heroine sold her body for money>>> ²the money will go to the brother for selling the so called rare antic so no gossip, >> ³the brother/protagonist won't know about his sister and the villain's thing. But the brother is a protagonist so the antic are really legit but the sister doesn't know that so she thinks the money her brother have is from selling her body to the villain mc>>> ⁴the protagonist doesn't have bank account so he uses the sister bank and since he have skill to know a legit antic he got in agreement to sell many to the villain MC. The heroine doesn't know it's legit and since she's a good girl and thought her brother are selling fakes, she always return the money to the MC>>>⁵the MC got the legit antic for free and even got the heroine's body since the heroine thought the MC is helping her by buying the fake antic of his brother. He really played those two. He's truly a bastard right?

[collapse]

But no matter how villain the MC is, he is still the main character of this story. Truthfully there are times where I just want to stop reading the story because the MC really is a bastard. So bastard I want to stop and slap the author. But in a sense, it is worth reading this because the MC is true to his character. He is reincarnated as a Villain, not only that, he has to kill the protagonist to live. So him staying as a villain in and out is a plus for me as there's a saying, "being kind to your enemy was being cruel to yourself". His personality doesn't contradict the story. The story is about the villain with a system that kills protagonist. No idea like "I reincarnated as a villain so I will act as a good guy so heroine will fall for me" because no matter how good he is, he can't be better than the protagonist so his only choice is to be the villain. In and out.

Not to mention, the MC is a genius, he's so genius I felt bad for the protagonist since they really can do sh*t against him as he's not only genius he's also rich. He knows how to mess the protagonist up either by money or prestige. He can embarrass them so bad you will felt bad knowing those protagonist on their original story.

Also, no matter how bastard the MC is, for example, he thinks nothing of the heroine but as a thing, After he killed the protagonist he will no longer care for those heroine and will only care for the heroine of the new protagonist near him. Which is definitely worth slapping his face and the author's face for. But don't worry, he will change that. The MC will grow as he will know thinks more. In the end, he will love them so don't worry. He is just a bastard and a villain in the early chapters but after that he will just be a bastard and a villain against the protagonist and he will care for the heroine like how protagonist care for them.

The downside of this novel is that, since the MC have a charm of over 9000 (jk aside only 999) almost every heroine just fall on his lap, like fall in love in first sight bullsh*t which makes this a bit bland at near the end. The MC fought a lot of protagonist and so he levels up but his enemy on the latter part are still on their first heroine so no question those protagonist are played like a child by our MC as he already have a lot of things by his system. The MC's advantage too is pretty OP as he knows who's the protagonist and who's the heroine. In a sense, the protagonists are meats on the chopping board since our MC also knows what their skills are. Really unfair if I say so since our MC are aiming for the kill.

Seriously this novel might not have a lot of good things but it is enjoyable for harem seekers out there. It is even funny how the whole novel is just written just to make fun of cliche thing like saving damsel in distress or so etc etc. I recommend this story for people that just want to read and waste their time. As for people that neat pick on everything such as heroine personality, cliche scenario, and etc etc then this novel will be a hard for you to read. I mean this is a story of killing protagonist from the bunch of generic harem story out there so maybe there's a lot of thing you won't like. But still try it, who knows maybe you will like it. In the end, what makes this story good is the MC. Well atleast for me. The MC alone worth the rate 5star. There are a lot of times where he messed up but due to maybe plot armor he salvaged those times. After that we can see he won't make the same mistake. Good character and character development. <<less
