If she upgraded him to being a servant, I can understand.

If she adopted him into her family, I can understand.

If she had bought him and had him cooperate in order to abolish s*avery and help the kingdom, I can understand.

But she just goes on to:

Tell him to sleep, eat, and rest well.

Buys him an entire store's worth of items.

Buys him a super expensive ring that almost no one can afford.

You do this much to spare your life and cater to him, sure, but even if you want to good friends with him, this just goes to the realm of unfairness. Of course the servants are going to feel bad. There they were, working hard for years and suddenly some pretty fellow just waltzes in and gets the best treatment! I bet if he had wanted the throne, you'd capture it for him, and this would make even more sense.

I could only endure till half of ch 13 where evil uncle comes to make trouble while they are trying to eat. I mean what else is new. 90% of the time the mention of food brings about troublemaking extras. I'm not gonna waste my time blaming the s*upidity of the characters, as the author is solely responsible.

Let's talk about the story, which btw goes nowhere and is boring af. You won't get any other pov (which could've expanded the readers view of other territories of the story. But let's be honest, the author can barely squeeze out ideas to keep the fl's daily life going) except the FL (and John the wholesome servant) where she goes like, I did this, I did that, I have this on my schedule today and the rest is Kian, Kian, Kian.

Everything is terribly predictable, like the part about the genius/ hobo artist guy. Just as the 2 duchesses are vomiting their "knowledge" about art (which we again just time skip coz this dumb author is too "knowledgeable" and lazy to describe ANYTHING. Everything just.... happens. Her speech for the hotel inauguration... just happens) and mention the painter, lo and behold, there he is. Every action seems to have a useless purpose. Them going on a walk is just to meet the hobo man. Kian and her could've had a meaningful conversation and maybe it could have touched a bit on his "painful" past, (which we again just hear about, barely there description) they could've gotten a bit emotionally closer. But no, every scene is cut and telling the actors to just go home. I'm not gonna waste my time describing what else I noticed, but you get what I'm saying, right?

MC buys a s*ave and pretty much throws cash at him and spoils him with clothes, a ridiculously expensive ring, expensive meals, holidays, picnics, etc. But there’s so little feeling. All she does is protect him from people who throw slander at him and mistreat him. She’s more like a superhero than a love interest to him, surely. It’d be nice if there was more emotion rather than MC coming to save the day. It’s just mishap after mishap after mishap. There’s no real plot or romance to be honest.
