[1v1] [No System] [Marriage Before Love] [Serious]

A hardworking office worker unexpectedly transmigrates into a novel as Shen Xi, the villainous supporting female character.

The original Shen Xi was a wealthy heiress who had returned to China and entered a contract marriage with Gu Hanling, a powerful heir of an elite family. However, she remained obsessed with the novel’s male lead, Shi Jingyan.

As the villainous supporting character, her fate was tragic. Abandoned by the Gu family and ultimately destroyed by the male and female leads’ revenge.

Now that Shen Xi has taken over this body, she has no intention of repeating the same mistakes.

Upon learning about the contract, which only requires her to stay out of Gu Hanling’s way—

(Shen Xi: “That’s perfect! (°∀°)b”)

—She realizes that all she needs to do is act as a decorative wife for two years and walk away with a hefty fortune.

So, in front of Gu Hanling, she continues the act of being infatuated with the male lead.

Meanwhile, in public, she distances herself from Shi Jingyan and maintains the perfect image of a dignified Mrs. Gu.

Her goal? Stay far, far away from the troublesome male and female leads who are destined to ruin her life.

But things don’t go as planned.

Even worse, the supposedly indifferent and cold Gu Hanling starts looking at her in a way that feels… off.

One night, when Shen Xi returned to the villa and had just stepped through the door, she was suddenly pinned against the wall by a drunken Gu Hanling.

“What are you doing?? You’re drunk?!”

She tries to push him away, but he doesn’t budge.

“I don’t care who you are. If you go looking for Shi Jingyan again… I’ll make the Shi family disappear.”

…Huh???

Huh?! Σ(°Д° )

This story is good for someone who enjoys "Reborn as My Rival's Love." It shares a similar premise: the MC (who has already become a woman) is married to a wealthy man and lives a life blessed with money. This MC doesn't have a healthy biological family, and she has to put in some effort for her life because the marriage is only contractual. Even the male lead hasn't fully accepted the MC yet. I might be wrong, but I think in Reborn as My Rival's Love, the male lead... more>> is the same in that regard, although the difference is that he already accepts the MC? (Not romantically, yet.)

The MC is a delight—she's not the type to accept everything passively, and she's someone who easily goes with the flow (even if it means sacrificing his pride as a man). He also doesn't dwell too much on the gender change (there are some moments where it's brought up, but mostly as flavor to emphasize how great the MC is as a ts character).

The slow romance between the MC and the male lead is really enjoyable and funny to read. There are many moments where the MC and the male lead act comically to convince others they're a real couple, and those scenes are definitely a highlight of the story.

I really like this story. Thank you! <<less
