The author has a habit of writing the conclusions without developing them through plot. That may make them seem more "epic", but that sense doesn't actually make it all the way to the reader.

Generally, non-humanoid reincarnations or even ones into a different gender or marginally different species have an adjustment period that explores what the reincarnated form actually is and explaining who the reincarnator was before. In this novel? Just skipping over hundred years.

Then within a few chapters they're throwing around terms like saint and hero as if they had... more>> any meaning without a plot and a backdrop to stand out.

And then there's a whole deal about defying a predetermined order of things, again with no explanation or reason whatsoever but eventually also no significant consequences.

Perspective switches without indications, repeating the same dialogue at least once, and generally poor distinction between direct speech and inner monologue / narration by the translator make it unpleasant to read.

I kept reading the rest of the free translated chapters to see if it gets better, and I suppose it does improve marginally, but that's not a particularly high bar.

Anyway, the main plot from this point on seems to be interacting with the empire where the MC happens to have been born and probably the establishment of a religion worshipping him as a god.

But even among godhood stories, this is basically bottom tier. The basic premise of reincarnating into a god bird would have had potential, but this author does not seem capable of drawing it out. I cannot recommend reading this novel. <<less
