Thankfully, he can still return back to Earth. But the biggest crisis staring down upon him is the open beta scheduled for a year later, and the coming of the players.

How can he, as a vampire, get strong enough to fight against the oncoming catastrophe incarnates – the players themselves!!

This is the tale of a Progenitor Vampire leading a group of vampires and humans farming the land.

I read the raws, at first the nationalism was subtle that it's bearable and you can still accept it but then later in the story, it drastically gotten worse by each chap until it just diss out democracy and praise dictatorship.

The hypocrisy is too unbearable to read. For example ... more>>

the MC have this monologue about how america used democracy as a tool to infiltrate soviet union and caused it to collapse and then say that it was an evil scheme, since the people were just brainwashed by the "non existent" democracy and how it's just a fantasy. Dude, most of your subordinate are controlled by soul binding and soul contract. You brainwashed your people to think that donating blood was a good cause and that those non humans are good when the reality was, that the non humans are controlled by you. That paradise is just a fantasy that you created.

This novel is very refreshing and unique. The different concepts are handled very well. The part where earths players join the world is handled perfectly. We can see that it's not portrayed as a traditional game and since the beginning it's realistic and the players have to go through sh*t and adapt to the social environment instead of just coming to the world becoming OP and creating chaos.

The suspense and action is also done well even though it is not as frequent and the MC rarely participates himself (its just... more>> mostly his subordinates participating). I would like to see the MC explore and improve more magic and his abilities because other than the 2 in the beginning chapters the focus is mainly on the kingdom building.

The kingdom building is done very well, the MC takes advantage of the issues in the government structure and increases the popularity of his kingdom. Its also nice to see MC build on different things with different attributes, hes not just focused on City of Dawn, he also focuses on the Scarlet Magic Tower and Dark Covenant and im sure the number of organizations in his hand will increase in the future. Everything has its own twist and background on it and he has to manage them all in different ways which is good. A major drawback I would say is that the MC is glorified too much and everyone viewing him as a god takes away from the character interactions or the possible romance. It becomes annoying when every time the descriptions of everyones thoughts regarding the MC especially the women have admiration, respect, love, etc, etc. This happens everytime the setting of the scene changes theres always people jealous or admiring and it always follows up with a line that says "Reed naturally doesnt know this" its too condescending and tedious. This makes the other characters have no depth at all. Theyre just robots who follow what the MC tells them to do and constantly seek the MCs approval. <<less

A very unique novel which stands out and takes certain aspects (The best aspects) from other novels such as Overlord, Release That Witch etc.

Grammar is occasionally misused and certain statements said in earlier statements are then referred to differently in latter chapters, I assume this to be mistranslated errors.

For instance, in earlier chapters it is said that the vampire's lair was built a hundred years ago after fleeing from the old lair which was destroyed by an transcendent mage, also stating that it took ten years to scout the mountains... more>> to find such a perfect place for the new lair. Though in later chapters it reiterates that it took ten years to scour the mountains to find the perfect place for the lair it is said that there was no old lair, only that the lair had seen better days a hundred years prior. <<less

The story is similar to The Legendary Mechanic but has its own twist. If you liked that story then it´s very likely you will like this one also. This story is decidedly above average, it´s currently ranked 1 in China. Worth checking out for sure!

the universe shattered and they were chasing some turtle, idk I have a vague recollection of it.

I have to say, I loved the world building and the system setup that was initially introduced. The world in the story felt so wide and endless. The MC's transition to power and how the world started to look smaller, I didn't like. There are story tellers that are able to cover a vast world that they've written really well (I think TOTCF and Bringing Culture to Another World does it well afaik) and this story was not one of that. It went from a well-crafted world to just power leveling. That took away the fun in it for me.

I also agree with another review on here where there is a hypocrisy with his sense of nationalism and his followers' autonony. And to me the issue isn't the followers' lack of autonomy itself it was really jist the MC's (unreasonable) self-righteousness about it.

Overall, I'd reread it for the beginning to middle parts but once they start conquering other dimentions it loses that well-written aspect of it for me. <<less
