It's a pretty terribly done "trasmigration redemption" story. The MC is a guy who is good at dealing with people who takes over the body of a prince who abused everyone and tried to sexually assault girls. Then the MC tells them he changed, gives them a hug, and everything is better and they believe and love him now. It's just that on repeat with no depth or critical thinking by anyone, making it not a good redemption story AND not a lighthearted read. I'm not sure what audience this... more>> story is meant to be for but I don't recommend it to anyone. <<less

TL;DR: It's a quick read pretty standard story. If you're not looking for a story with a good guy as MC that has a happy ending do not read this novel.

Setting: Well, the description sums up everything, MC dies and is reincarnated as the crown prince of a kingdom. Due to how the prince and his father treated the neighboring countries and their rulers the continent is on the brink of war. To avoid war, the MC decides to travel to the neighboring countries and try to fix the relationship... more>> between him and the rulers of said neighboring countries.

MC: Unlike most japanese MCs, this one is not a wimp, by no means is him a f*ckboy, though. He is, all in all, a normal guy, if with a gentle and understanding disposition. He fears things that are fearsome, normal people would cower when facing a lion, so does the MC. When the need arises, though, he will push through his fear and does what he needs to. Also, when he realises he has feelings for a girl he doesn't dilly-dally, like the crushing majority of japanese MCs, no, he expresses his feelings clearly, and ask for a clear answer to his feelings. Since we're talking about feelings.

Heroines: We have 4 heroines, the three princesses of the neighboring kingdoms and his personal maid. What to say about the heroines... they are ok. They seem to be good girls and all, but the story is so rushed that is hard to give them much personality, it's especially hard to accept their deep feelings for the MC, given the setting of the prince being a hugh a$$hole before the MC possessing his body. Since I talked about the rushed story, let's talk about pacing.

Pacing: As I said on the TL;DR, this is a quick read, not only due to the writing style of the author and the chapters being relatively short, but also due to the fact that the story only has 53 chapters + epilogue + 1 after story, for a grand total of 55 chapters. For a story where the MC has to convice 4 key people that he has changed, while also travelling, if it was made the right way, the author would need at least 120~150 chapters, so that we could feel he had done enough to change people's perception on him. But the story is so rushed that you always get the feeling of "was this enough, for real, you already past all the bad blood?". Another victim of the crazy fast pacing is the consequence of things, for exemple, at some point he starts to travel with the princesses, which were quite actives on their countries, but you see no opposittion, no drawback, no problem rissing from this, they just travel with him and everything works out because yes.

Conclusion: Is this a bad story? No. Is this a complex story? No. Will reading this change my life? No. It is a story with a good MC and an interesting setting, that suffers from it's pacing. Had the author took its time to write more about the MC redemption with the 4 key characters, and had set better grounding on why the princesses could travel together with the MC, this could be a 4 stars novel, this said, I still don't think reading it is a waste of time, it was a quick and pleasent read.

If you: 1. can't ignore the lacking explanation for certain plot points;

2. it's not looking for a novel with an MC that is a gentle guy;

3. isn't looking for a novel with a happy ending.

Don't read this novel. If you have no problem with any of this 3 points, read it, it will be fast, max an afternoon, and you'll probably like it. <<less

Very straightforward formula and you get exactly what it says on the tin.

MC sets out to resolve past conflicts and establish a lovey-dovey harem without acting like a complete f*cking p**sy. The author did a good job of managing the flow to keep things fresh and each scenario is pretty light-hearted to keep things fun.

No prolonged drama for the sake of muh depth, no fainting at the slightest touch of female body and stuttering like a moron when a girl looks at you, no snorefest world building as if you... more>> are taking a goddamn history class. You come in for the harem, you stay for the harem.

Though you may find these concepts repulsive if you are the average NU numale. <<less
