I feel the other review is a bit unfair; they're right, this absolutely isn't a comedic gb story, and it's ok to not like it because of that, but it doesn't warrant a one star review (She also does constantly adapt to the change of being a woman and not a hero now, just not comedic). I don't feel comfortable rating this story at the point I'm at, it's fairly slow paced and it's just picked up steam a bit currently (several important events have happened up til this point).... more>> It's definitely a story more focused on a selfless character recovering from a war and trying to get back things that they've lost, which is compelling in its own right. Definitely over 3 stars for me right now and could be rated higher, definitely not comedic, but not exactly heavy either. Take the description at it's word, is what I would say, it has that kind of mood thus far.

At first I was a bit bothered by the chapters that kept showing the other world, as I thought it was kind of pointless past a certain point, and it halted progress on the current world, but it ended up being relevant. The characters from that world also end up going over to the current world, for the MC. They're probably less bothersome if you're not waiting update by update, as the chapters aren't the longest.

People will see a novel that is allowed to take its time building emotions and atmosphere, and they’ll complain that it doesn’t move fast enough. Trust me, this novel is VERY far from being too slow paced, I’ve read CN womb-arc garbage and this pales in comparison to that schlock.

Basically, if you like feeling like garbage, yet paradoxically feeling really good (not in the masochistic sense of course), then check this out. It’s really sad, yet also really sweet.

I started this story with the tags thinking it would be about a guy who returns from another world but with a different gender and that produces comical events with his family and friends.

I like the premise of this, but after 66 chapters

the story hasn't really moved forward. The MC spends most of the chapters thinking about her past and how much she misses it and her family without really doing anything to connect with them again. Well, actually, it's more that the author just writes about her thinking about her past and family for most of each chapter without much progression, considering it seems to be the main drive of this web novel. And by that, I mean it's the whole driving... more>> force of this web novel, but we don't actually read much of her actually progressing her relationship with her loved ones, even though she's thinking about it for most of every chapter. From all that I have said, you might have gathered that the pacing is incredibly slow. If I had to use a metaphor for this web novel, it would be like being stuck on a train that keeps passing the same scenery, you want to move to the next station, but you don't do anything to change the tracks. <<less
