The fujoshi me was reborn in the world of the bl fantasy novel “Nobility of a King” from my previous life. At present, I appear as Esfia country’s first princess Octavia, in the novel.

—now, this is a bl world. Where man x man relationships are justice……That is a huge premise…..! However, due to the memory of my previous life, Octavia’s role is difficult for me to accept.

The reason being that Octavia is a princess necessary to resolve problems that come one after another—! In my vicinity, with my older brother as first on the list, packed with a couple of men. I plan to stick to ikemens (with a man)! This is princess Octavia trying to grope for a marriage of life inside such a place.

The main character is reborn into a BL (boys love) world. Though she is supposedly a fujoshi who likes BL, the setting has become an obstacle on her way to find her own love. Her position as a woman isn't good.

Though it seems like she will eventually find someone the main focus of the novel doesn't seem to be her romance but an exploration of the setting. As such, read this because it's interesting and not because of the romance.

There is a lot of inner monologue and straight up explanations... more>> of the world and settings. Some people might not like that. I just thought the content was captivating enough I ended up struggling through a couple of chapters (ch. 2-4) in the original Japanese, using Google translate. This despite how lousy the Japanese machine translations are.

(Sorry SublimiSomnium, but why did you machine translate this to chapter 47 if it was only worth a 2-star rating? I guess we have different rules for rating...) <<less

Just to begin with, I completely understand the bad reviews, unfortunately, I don't agree with them. One lowers the stories rating due to the translation, which makes no sense as the translation does not relate to the story as a whole. As for the other one, I'll leave it as we don't have the same viewpoint.

I love our female lead, as well as the ML. The plot definitely isn't as lala land as it first seems as well. I find it interesting to read as the story progresses and I... more>> can't wait to watch the annoying characters and things fall into a pit!! <<less

Intriguing premise, unfortunately it quickly devolves into overly complicated (for machine translation) political intrigue. Another major flaw is that there are large sections of exposition in every chapter to explain/justify the situations the MC gets into. There are also signs that the MC could be venturing into Mary Sue territory, though the ML seems pretty obvious.

I do like the MC’s personality. Though she isn’t particularly accomplished she is very aware of her responsibilities and has very clear morals and goals. Also like that she is focused on more important things... more>> than pursuing romance.

Thus far the author has done a lot of set up, and as said before there is still a lot of exposition, so the story feels like it is just beginning. As an ongoing story that is just beginning I am still willing to give it a chance so I’ll follow up after a few months. <<less

I'm not gonna rate this since I haven't completed this one yet.

This, actually has a promising premise, a unique setting, and would have been an amusing and refreshing read if done well. That is, unfortunately, the author didn't do that well (in my opinion), and seems to incline into Mary Sue protagonist. The Female Lead in the end is just another cookie cutter Mary Sue, the happy go lucky, the clueless and reckless yet strangely always get lucky since well she's the Female Lead after all.

I won't say any woman... more>> must be resourceful and cunning. If anything I do have a thing for "normal girl", that is if they really are normal and average, and not just being branded as "normal" but never in any chances are they actually normal in the execution of the story.

Who the Male Lead is already appear and obvious in the first try. Obvious is actually okay and most stories are presenting their Leads in an obvious way. But I hate deus ex machina, or rather I get tired of the cliche routes and cliche circumstances. It's not just in Straight romance, I feel tired even in BLs.

Cliches are also actually will be okay, if done well. Unfortunately, it didn't.

It's just not my cup of tea in the end.

But anyway, if you're like me, coming here expecting to find a distinct and unique Female Lead in a niche genre novel, then be prepared to be disappointed. <<less

Came here from the manga

The plot at first seems to be a typical reincarnation story but it's hiding deeper mysteries underneath

There's quite a lot of interesting questions like the weird memories, the sky god, why there are no female monarchs etc.

I'm interested to see how it plays out.
