I just read like few chapters so I can't really judge the whole book.

But damn. There's no flavor between the interactions of the protagonist and the women.

This was definitely written by a guy who haven't interacted properly with a girl. It literally screams "unrealistic, totally all from my imagination, and don't have much experience in this".

... more>> But I guess this makes sense since this is just a novel and can go on without so much of a common sense.

I can't read further because it's not my cup of tea. I like my book with a pinch of realistic MSG. <<less

I couldn't read beyond chapter 30 and dropped the story out of boredom. The main lead is the ultimate Gary Stu. The world exists to extoll how great he is and the system puts all challenges in a mode so easy it might as well be called tutorial mode. Heck, even the system can't help but extoll how intelligent the male lead is. As of chapter 30, there is no real conflict nor any challenges to make the story remotely interesting. The other characters are as thin as paper (cardboard... more>> is to thick). <<less

Incredibly boring.

MC is a mary-sue who faces no problems or set backs whatsoever, there's no tension or suspense, it's not even interesting. It's literally the worst Modern Era System novel I've read. Maybe it gets better, frankly I could already tell it was going to be like 'Omniscient Reader' - when the MC is all knowing and the problems aren't problems as a result, it's super boring.

I like knowing the MC is going to win, but that they do so in an unexpected way, it keeps it fresh. Even better... more>> if the MC actually takes a lose and eventually still gets the win through revenge. <<less

This novel is decent enough on the surface level. But this story fail at many things, lots of things. The only thing making this story worth anything is the interactions between MC and Heroines, but even that doesn't reach peak. Everyone are too accepting, they easily accepted when MC suddenly learn bunch of skills out of nowhere. Such as when MC goes from 'Novice' to 'Martial Arts Master' in a few hours and just say it's 'Talent'. MC gets everything too easily then showing it off is very unsatisfying. There's... more>> also a lack of details, all girls are described almost the same with only one or two differences. Author didn't give age to girls. The story is mostly blurred because of the lack of details.

Biggest problem of all is that it is Badly-written! Transition is bad and some parts in the story are missing and cut off from the story by the author. For example: Author rewrote some parts in a certain chapter but the future chapter isn't fixed so it still acknowledge what was removed from the previous chapters.

There's so much to say but I'm too lazy to lay them down and explain them so i'll just point out what to expect, it's up to you to like it or not.

🔸Decent schemes and psychological manipulation.
🔸System is bland.
🔸Heroines has personality.
🔸Side-characters don't have importance in the story.
🔸Overpowered/Omniscient MC, Antagonists can't do anything at all.
🔸Non-existent Worldbuilding.
🔸MC only likes virg*ns.
🔸MC isn't a simp.
🔸MC likes to torment some girls.
🔸90% of named characters are women.
🔸Lots of coincidences.

——

If you read "I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain" then you won't enjoy this that much. Gao Fushai is a discount version of that novel. I had high Expectations for the story when I first read it but it's not as good as the 5Star reviews said. So overall this story fluctuates from 2.5 stars to 3.5 stars for me. I'll give a generous 3.5/5 anyway. Tips: Read it without expectations and you might just enjoy it. Don't be like me. <<less

In the long run, the novel gets boring, then the females that are below 95 (90 and below) as Male lead beauty rate are outrageous to the point of horrible attitudes. Female leads are out of their minds to the point that makes the Male Lead over flowing of mess.

It's pretty good, Actually. this novel is considered good among many Chinese urban novel, although overall average, you will still be hook at every chapter because there are always new girl and unique interactions, few plot holes, above all never forget the girl he inter-acted, this can. be considered a typical junk novels (a novel that you know bad for you, but you still keep eating) and apparently some guys hate this novel... I know there are obvious reason to hate this novel but... A novel without tragic or bad... more>> scene will never be considered good. This novel will be the same as those garbage novel without the uniqueness of the work.

what I mean about those garbage novel is. An overused face slapping, cliche story, and a typical MC saving the girl and the girl become in love with him and the next few chapter her existence dissapeared', and the process is repeated but with the concept of "Paraphrase" <<less

Let's faceslap Ruyue: the novel

Seriously, it was understandable at the start because he wanted to make her regret breaking their engagement and show her that he has changed for the better, but it keeps happening again and again.. The early faceslaps were juicy and satisfying, the later ones? Childish and petty, she's already understood your point man, give it up!

Also, Wanxi best girl and I have high hopes on Song Xuan.. Hehe

I usually lower the bar for urban/fantasy/romance bc I like reading fun and entertaining novels in between more serious ones but this novel made me rethink about "indulging" in the genre. Specifically, how an author can depict a manipulative and sociopathic as*hole (which can be a selling point for me) to even have the narrator itself justificating for him!?. Seriously?

This novel delivers the fun right away from c1. And kept me reading until the last available chapter. Very fast paced and an MC who becomes too good and too fast... more>> at being a gao fushuai villain Imho (but we're here for that anyway)

I've read my share of novels with hypocrisy, racism, r*pe, etc and appreciate them for what they're for but this novel twisted picture of rooting for a MC who rewards goodwill with manipulation and love with emotional dominance and expects total submission left a very bad taste.

I wouldn't complain if it was done to characters who deserve it but he does it to everyone. It usually is due to necessity since he can't let main girls approach the "protagonist" and has to be ruthless but then came the downhill turning point for me when we are "rewarded" with the MC's inner thoughts, like the author was afraid we would think that the MC was apologetic about treating people like a dirty rag. He does it out of necessity AND bc he likes it.

I can withstand this no problem but the nail in the coffing is that the faceslapping/showing off scenes are mediocre, outlandish (which can be fun at times) or the author relied too much in telling instead of showing (the most critical flaw). Even my suspension of disbelief, trained under years of reading both the good and bad, was broken numerous times due to characters not reacting like they should've to the god level skill of MC. I understand strangers but the parents as well!?

There's some good moments but while reading you have the nagging feeling that the MC must have a hidden debuff aura draining IQ from other chars. Smh <<less

ok so this is my first review and I literally wrote this just coz I disagree with one of the reviews above from liyu

so first things first

about mc's behaviour - he is a villain for goodness sake its already good enough that he cares about some peoples feelings

second- disgusting? really? albeit I agree that what the previous owner of mc's body did was wrong current MC is in no way wrong. also what trauma are you even talking about? she has no trauma at all. lets say ur talking about... more>> the mother collapsing (which is the only traumatizing thing I can think of) it is no way related to how he chased her (basically he didnt chase her at all) all he did was act neutral and yurue kept falling deeper on her own accord

next taming animals....

again he is the goddamn villain for f*cks sake not even an protagonist if u find this kind of thing wrong ur literally reading the wrong genre go read some shoujo or yaoi bullshit <<less

It was quite good feed. I saw some people complaining that like 'Omg the MC can't just treat traumatized girl like that. That's so inhumane' like bro its harem-seeking novel with villain as MC of course he will manipulate everyone like duhh.
Spoiler

Still there quite good romance scenes and ones with ChiQian is best among them. Still there is still plot holes, like girl he just meets gives him herself or smt.

[collapse]
It novel is quite good till 1270ish chapter and after it author literally said f*ck everything I build imma write filler and makes complete new novel with new enemy without any previous girl. Honestly if it wasn't for that it would be quite good novel.

The MC just an incel,

And all other character, the "Protagonist" and The female lead, all just nothing more but an a one dimensional character and personality.

Every females have good start personality but then after the MC arrived, they became nothing more than a regular brain-dead female like in worst Japanese dating game.

This story feels like an a incel indulging staring at screen monitor watching regular e girl streamer, while jack off and daydreaming, having an rich background and indulging in narcissist.

Thinking that they are the center of universes.

Its a fun and easy read... but there is not a whole lot of tension. This is a pretty extreme case of wish-fulfillment harem novel wrapped around an anti-hero, which is only scum-lite. Everything is too easy for MC, and he never loses... ever.

I plan to continue to read since I kind of like tropey harem tr*sh novels, but that's all this is.

The character building is inconsistent, but its not bad. The only flaw is everything is way too slanted towards the MC.

A very good novel. My favorite!

The only parts I dislike is how ret*rded the heroines are and how the protagonist's IQ reducting halo is affecting everyone else.

I think thia novel from faloo best describes how I feel about the protagonist of this book.

... more>> 反派:偷看日记,女主们人设崩了

Everything the son of luck does is being put to the pedestal and praised for being good.

Lin Yuan does horrible things that makes him worst then scum but no one thinks it as bad or even accepts it.

The worst part of it all is that the heriones have basically no IQ in front of the protagonist.

I guess if you like reading a ret*rded novel then go for it. It is fairly good quality novel if it is your first time reading a hrem novel cause after reading a few hundred harem novels, it makes me more picky.

Most harem novels are really bad, bad to the point of being disgusting. <<less

A typical dream wish fulfilment novel, where the MC knows literally everything and has perfect plans for each single incident in his pursuit for the OG protagonist's beautiful harem. It certainly delivered on a 'gao fushuai villain', as new characters and settings kept getting introduced to make his counterattack to the original protagonist a seamlessly smooth journey. Needless to say, it's not as dull a story as I though it'd be... I had fun reading it so far. But as a whole, I hated the s*upidly bad way in which... more>> the s*x scenes were described (not getting into specifically critiquing on it tho). <<less
