Sorry for the bad English

MC is a rich 2nd gen with a system His goal is robbing the protagonist opportunities and members of his harem group In novel around chapter 215 or so it's mentioned there will be many protagonist ranging from the current Mercenary king to immortals and what not Though the main focus is romance based but its still good. Its quite good for a casual read though there's a bit exaggerated comments whenever MC shows off abilities or whatnot but that's is what makes many readers read... more>> this novel and I am quite okay with it Just give it a read and try it <<less

Just pure MC picking up girls. And I f*cking love it. Theres no face slapping bullshit, just the MC day by day planning how to raise Favorability with the girls. The main goal was to get counter points, which he could get via interactions with that girls, but it ended up turning into the main plot. The part about him beating up the original MC became kind of a subplot. Which I dont mind.

MC also gets super op. With his counter point he can basically master any skill and increase... more>> his Charm, Fitness, Speed and Strength.

Its great for me (an incel) because I just wanna see s*x, but I dont wanna see s*x without any effort. It takes a hundred or two chapters for him to unlock the H scene with a girl.

Just all around great for ppl who like harem but are sick and tired of the face slapping so prevelant in most CN novels.

MC's handsome face and amazing body is oft mentioned, could see it getting annoying, not for me tho

Translation isnt perfect but it doesnt melt your brain.

(this review reviews the raws as a whole, as in the chinese one, not taking into account the translation after chp 200) <<less

Similar to The the novels villain, he's OP, and a top tier character in everyones eyes.

I really like making the protagonist an undefeatable degenerate who doesn't give a sh*t towards other peoples critisicm.

Basically Chad alpha MC, Enjoyable read, constantly waiting for updates.

Thoroughly enjoyed it

think of it more like a satire of normal 'urban' genre tropes, while following a few of said tropes itself and being fairly self aware about it.

Also his actions while reprehensible at times make sense under the context that he believes it to be a novel world/ simulation. The world itself favors the 'original' protagonist and would willingly change up fate to make said thing happen

... more>> i do think a lot of the 1 star reviews are unjustified but oh well thats how reviews work

Edit: so theres a bunch of things I didnt point out in my original review cause rather than exactly good points, it more the common flaws that aren't present, but seems like I should include them anyways

The MC adjusts fast, or rather blindingly fast. He gets transmigrated, takes a second or two to adjust and bam that's it. His persona changed literally mid conversation with the other character. And yes while that's way too perfect,
its still better than taking months to adjust, being scared of everything and hiding in a corner, avoiding every single other person cause you fear they're about to kill you just because they like look at you and instantly realize you're a completely different person and stab you or something, or run away from them cause of the 'bad things' the 'original' character did to them.

At least he owns up to it, sure he may have been a villain but now that the person's changed, he can make amends fix the situation, try to improve and thats about what he does if you think about it. He gains stats and skills as if he's playing a dating sim rather than trying to beat the 'original mc' but that's quite good as well. Raising charisma or strength/ reflexes. Tho unlike dating sims there isnt a particular requirement for each girl, nor is he forced into a particular route and is free to execute his choices as he likes

one slight dissatisfaction I have with it is another flaw it shares with dating sims which is representing relationships using a numerical score, though the novel even openly admits that its a flawed way to look at relationships and to take the number more as an assumption than anything. But in context it makes sense cause how else could the system represent progress other than numbers?

The other reviewer, pointing out his relationship with yan yurue, while there is a point to it, he heavily exaggerates it. The translator's review also goes fairly in depth explaining another line of reasoning so I won't be repeating it here. All in all, still a very good novel, has its flaws and minor nitpicks but for what it's trying to do, it does it really well. <<less

I've picked up and put down this novel on 3 separate occasions (c54, c78, c204)
While writing the most current review I realised I was 6 paragraphs deep, so instead.

The short story and goofy plot keeps me reading. Their views on women, relationships and hard work make me sick. Read while picturing the image Disney shows when displaying offensive films.

While not related to the novel itself, I think the author has good taste in music and have liked everything he uses in this story

This is a frustrating novel to read, not due to the lack of plot, although there is barely any, to begin with, but because it wastes so much time with filler that sometimes a single day in which nothing important happened will take 60-80 chapters to pass.

The story follows Lin Yuan, a person from Earth that was transmigrated into an urban romance novel he read, one that he must have liked very much since he remembers fine details of almost everything that happened in it. The body he is in... more>> is of Lin Yuan, one of the villains of the novel who is the heir to a powerful conglomerate and whose fiancee, who hates him for being an annoying simp by the way, will be stolen by the protagonist of the story, Ye Feng, a super mercenary of sorts who returns to China after years away.

Lin Yuan is equipped with a system that can increase his attributes and skills by using points that he acquires by stealing opportunists and getting in the way of Ye Feng or by increasing the favorability of the heroines of the novel, essentially incentivizing him to commit netori, something that he already felt inclined to do anyway. There is also a possibility of converting money into points, which is very helpful since he has billions in his account right from the start.

Don't be deceived by this premise and think that the original protagonist will be important for the story, he is barely there and never challenges Lin Yuan in any way, which is a shame, because nothing challenges Lin Yuan in any way. Whenever he is going to do something he increases his skill level with that thing directly to the divine level which makes him do it at a superhuman level, better than any human has ever done. He does that even when the situation wasn't even important and if he doesn't have enough points he converts money into points to do so.

A typical day will consist of him going into 2 to 3 different situations where he will interact with heroines or important people in the novel. Each situation takes 8 to 40 something chapters to conclude and the next day is the same thing. It comes to a point in which an important plot point was promised to happen in a month and more than 150 chapters passed and I don't think even a week passed, so no wonder this novel has more than 1200 chapters and is still ongoing.

On a side note, there are too many heroines. At the point I dropped (463) there are like 12 or so, just one has complete favorability and he only had s*x with two, including the one with full favorability, so if you are here for this kind of thing be warned. <<less

This novel has its pros and cons, as all novels do.

From my perception, the strongest points are the romance, the MC, and the harem; it also has a bit of comedy. It's definitely not a novel dedicated to wearing your head off; it's a light, relaxed, and entertaining read.

The female leads are nothing new or novel, but they have interesting personalities, and the author is knowledgeable and experienced in achieving fluidity in dialogue, resulting in interactions or situations between the MC and his women that are not boring.

On the other... more>> hand, the MC is well cast because he is the villain of the story; he is practical, ruthless when required, and not a simp.

The low point of this novel is the system.

The system is fine for what it intends, but it is flawed.

This is an urban novel, but the MC is not the ''hero'' of the story; he is the villain, and that is great, so the story reads from the point of view of the MC slapping the ''hero'' and thus gaining system points. With the help of the system points, the MC can acquire the skills he requires, but the system is very OP.

It is not OP because the MC has the ability to obtain the skills he requires with points; the system is OP because the MC, being the villain of the story, has a remarkable economic backing—hundreds of billions of yuan, to be more precise. The skills in the system can be acquired with money, which should not be the case.

Basically, the MC is broken, and I love that, but this may be uncomfortable for some readers who prefer a less notable MC. <<less

It's not very bad honestly, but it just isn't good at all really. Compared to I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain, this novel has nothing better to really offer. The MC is not as honest about being a horrible person and everything feels way too convenient for him. The writing treats the readers a little too much like idiots, the plot is dumbed down to a really high extent. There's hardly any challenge at all, it's just watching a guy get everything handed to him. The purpose of the genre... more>> is supposed to mock protagonists with golden fingers, but I think this one didn't get the memo. The MC here has it even easier than the usual protagonists. All in all, don't bother, go read I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain instead. <<less

I loved it but hated the chapters where the MC became a huge as*hole to one of the heroines and what's worse is that with all the harrasment and asshollery the MC did the favorability only increased. Like what the f*ck is with the author its like he was high while watching 20 humiliation AVs as he writes these chapters?

A very very generic, boring and lazily written power fantasy novel.

This novel is literally what would happen if you combine the face slapping, courting death, and other infamous elements of generic xianxia novels into a parallel universe of Earth.

While I don't mind power fantasies, this novel is written with so little care that it's just impossible for me to enjoy it.

... more>> The characters are one dimensional, and are some of the most generic ones you can find out there.

Everything in the world goes according to the protagonist's plan, and everything can be solved easily by the protagonist. This takes the fun out of novels, as there's nothing for you to care about as everything can be done so easily.

To put it simply, it's basically a novel where you turn your brain off and read. <<less

This story started off interesting but was honestly such a bore to read later on. I didn't like the harem members in the novel at all and didn't feel as though they were deep characters they felt as though they were objectives to be captured.

My opinion on the other hand is subjective in the fact that its been awhile but honestly this novel is what really put me off harems.I feel absolute dread reading them and hate the idea of them.

I mis-cl**ked so its put as a 2 but if... more>> anything its a 3 or a 2.5

This story was enjoyable at first but the way he looked at that girl that I swear was underaged rubbed me the wrong way and made me feel sick <<less

At the start of the story, I found it pretty good as it was the first villain novel I read and it was entertaining seeing the story of an average urban from the opposite side. It is a casual under-dog story of a person who is destined to lose everything, but he decides to change his fate and approach, making himself the center of the story and slowly pushing the actual MC out of the story and giving a glimpse at some s*upid reasoning that normally helps the MC and... more>> the heroines that we take for granted.

However, the novelty of the story got less entertaining for me and I started to notice the new MC or villain to be precise seem robotic. But his rather normal treatment of Wanxi gave me hope to continue.

Spoiler

I found the way he treats his arranged fiance Ruyan was rather too harsh. He agrees his previous self was an idiot, Ruyan agreed with him and did not want to be married to him, so I don't see the reason for his ego to be hurt that she did not like him. (Some of the beginning face slappings were acceptable but it soon gets too much and childish.)

There is going to be spoilers (past the current translation), so read-only if you are ok with spoiler to like 750.

The most effective way of gaining counterpoints is to get the heroines but after Wanxi and Mei Yuxian. The rest of the heroines become too bland. Here is what I mean.

To get Ruyan he just keeps ignoring her and she automatically wants to love him more, until she becomes a flat character and he gets her.

To get Saying who is proud - he embarrasses, disrespect, and brainwash her into liking him.

Chi Qiyan - he is better than her at everything to get a little affection from her, chess - fighting, shooting, music, drawing, scriptures, fighting - he just upgrades these skills to beat her and make all her accomplishments meaningless. Some of these, I could just ignore, but later he steeps so low as to use his cheat to make cats like him more, so he can childishly claim another victory over her. The author makes her like him more for that...

Ning Mei (a character not yet introduced) - She is blackmailed into liking him and while she is S, his actions are way too much.

....

....

While there is clearly an attempt at creating unique characters, the simple repeated method of getting their affections makes it too 2d for me.

He claims to be better than MC, yet he exclusively follows his path and no girl that was not part of MC joins his harem, he pretty much replicates the MC's move into going to the same business medicine mask, and more. for all the sh*t he gives the story and MC he just follows it, only being a tiny bit better than the Ye fang only getting there ahead of him by one step.

While I can see his reason for being ruthless to enemies, you notice that he also treats others who are not his enemy with the same ruthlessness which makes the story less likable.

The story does go down hell as he uses the same move repeated on girls to get their affection higher. Keep beating them in everything they are good at, Keep on humiliating them so they can like him... (To me it reads like one of those videos where a mouse learns to press a button to get food.) When it comes to Chi Qiyan you can guess the next 5 - 10 chapter is him beating her at something else and she increases affection by 5- 10. Saying will get humiliated, Mei will get forced, and so on and on.

[collapse]

So to summarize, the action element gets quite boring as the enemy Ye Fang has no room for growth, he is always 1 step behind so there is no real tension. While in other OP MC cases you get stronger and stronger enemies to create illusion of tension, here it seems like he just keeps on hitting a person who is down. There is no satisfaction at his victory after a point.

The girls are boring as there is a cycle of repeated same moves that move the progress bar of romance slowly towards the MC/Villain's favor. The MC seems obsessed with Ye Fang's plot and girls and he uses Ye Fang's moves to get them making the process rather dull, not really making anything of himself, apart from brief moments at the beginning of the novel. (Large harem but all are Ye Fang's girls, best knowledge of medicine, but just uses to defeat Ye Fang, he could do so much more with that knowledge as he has the money.

So far, for me, the beginning of the story was rather interesting, but later on, it was like 80 percent repetition of the same plot with only 20 percent new things. So I can not rate it higher than 2. Well, the translation is good so 0.5 points for that to get the rating to 2.5.

Edit- Also the filler words describing heroines taking a majority of many short chapters gets boring and annoying. <<less

Set in an urban romance setting. In the "original novel" - the villain of the novel gets absolutely wrecked by the hero Ye Feng. He gets humiliated, his fiance taken by Ye Feng, his family bankrupt. This time though, traversing from our world into this villain, Lin Yuan has absolute determination to kill Ye Feng and until he dies, he wants to make Ye Feng feel a life worse then death. Feng still has his plot armour (he escapes death and fatal events many times) but with Lin Yuans prior... more>> knowledge of the plot, his ruthless (albeit broken) mind and OP system, Ye Feng obviously stands no chance. Lin Yuan is a Mary Sue and will never be defeated. Setbacks don't even feel like setbacks but that's ok, we are here for girls and face slaps anyway.

At its core, I guess this is a wish fulfillment novel but it is presented in a way that is digestible to readers. Lin Yuan is a single minded wealthy scumbag but he is not hypocritical about it. He knows it, his girls know it, readers know it. Ye Feng on the other hand is an arrogant dude who expects everything to go his way and thinks of himself as a protagonist (which is not wrong but alas, if not for Lin Yuan). So when Lin Yuan slaps him hard, it sure as heck feels satisfying. The plot is predictable but overall its still enjoyable. Over the course of the novel, Lin Yuan intercepts many of Ye Feng's opportunities, face slaps him time to time. Getting girl (heroines) is also an important part of that.

More then the outcome, Lin Yuan finds the process more exciting then the result itself. I guess this is one of the highlights too. Lin Yuan has high demands from a girl, so does the girl he is wooing. They have their own ambitions, their own thoughts. Lin Yuan will not be satisfied with one girl (plus the plot too demands him to woo multiple girls but not just any girl) and he wants them to listen to him. How he matches these demands and woos them and ultimately makes them his are an interesting process in itself. (Until they get full 100 favourability after which they become standard dolls to me)

He treats every girl differently.
Spoiler

Being emotional towards Wanxi, Stoic towards Ruyan, Accomodating towards Chi Qiyan etc

[collapse]

Plus the fact he likes MILF and gets two of them is also a f*cking plus in my book.

Translation is also ok. The quality of the plot seems to go a slight drop after chapter 1000 but it's still ok. <<less

i read every chapter till I let it on hold, it's not bad, but really there's a big problem here... it makes me drop it.

The system is unnecessary OP, makes everything easier so it end up making the classic writter error called "Perfect Main character" he has no flaws and it end up unnecessary saying a lot of things.

all female cast is a "Otherworldly beauty" which is kinda funny how all of them are on the same city... like someone one time said "if everyone is beautiful, nobody is beautiful".

now... more>> things I hated the most
Spoiler

First of all the novel main plot shouldn't be so big, it should've end before chapter 240 with MC killing the original MC with a shot on the head but the author decided even though the guy was shot on the head he can live and keep consciouness.

But if MC did kill him the plot would be meanless which actually kinda is since long ago, right now it is just MC dating and saying how much all the girls are... really imagine reading chapters and more chapters of MC talking how beautiful every girl is and how they are dressed... it's called unnecessary info.

At the end I can only say that the plot should've end earlier, with more chapters the plot becomes way worse and the author ends up showing more and more laziness

Supposedly good but I hate getting slapped with the Very handsome and rich card every single chapter. Also has a BS powerup system where the MC can become a God at anything as long as he has the money. Makes you feel bad for those who really worked hard for their skills when the MC can just throw his cash in his system to become a God at doing it. 3.3/5 cause this thing have some really good female characters (and even harem) but every other character is an idiot

This is a really good novel of this genre. There are a lot of novel having similar plot but take things too far. The FLs here have a good character development.
