This is an fun inversion of the "my crown prince fiancee treated me horribly in my past life but now I'm in love with him" trope. The author plays hard with the tropes of the genre and she has a lot of fun with it. It's a lot of fun to see just how, uh, special the capture targets turned out in the latest timeline. Ally's bewilderment at just how on earth this happened is hilarious, but she's also the character that is most clearly in charge and it's refreshing... more>> to read.

Narratively speaking, I don't mind that the crown prince is still the ML:
Spoiler

His, uh, "development" in the latest timeline is hilarious but it's also a good example of penance done right. He and his fellow capture targets have this "vision" of a "calamity" that will happen where they will betray everyone that they love and they've spent their entire life preparing for it this time around. They don't have all of the details in the same way that Ally does, but they have devoted their lives (and their bodies) to making sure it doesn't happen (again).

I was a bit turned off by the summary too, felt a bit weird for her to get together with the prince that had her executed nine times.

But then... well it’s best to see for yourself what happens but it’s likely not what you expect. It’s rather refreshing in various meanings of the word...

This novel is awesome! I have only read the first seven chapters, but already the author has turned the tired cliches on their head. The MC has brawn as well as brains. And for once she is NOT the greatest beauty of the land.

I was grinning from ear to ear by the time I finished chapter seven. What a fun MC! (At least in her tenth life.)

This is an actually very well-done story. The MC is very like able and the redemption of the ML in her past 9 lives is actually well-done that you actually root for him which is rare in this type of novel.
Spoiler

The MC currently has no feelings for the ML which is reasonable considering her past ten lives, but you cant help but cheer the ML and his ridiculous crew

This is one of the funniest light novels I have ever read.

Do not give up, do not surrender, read the first 20 chapters, and if you aren't laughing so hard you're getting DIO Abs out of it. You can quit, no harm no foul.

But if you are making muscles out of the laughter, you too can join the greatness of this brigade of awesome.

Five Stars, even if I never read another chapter, Five Stars.

I'm on chapter 16 right now and gotta say, OH BOY. At first I though the story would be cliche like other otome isekai story and I'm glad I was wrong. The MC is strong willed and cool. And the prince, the author sure add a lot of spice and meat to his character. I won't spoil it but let just say in the MC 10th life, the prince (and the other capture target, too) is like a completely different person. The summary didn't do this novel justice, at all.... more>> Please give it a try. <<less

It certainly breaks stereotypes, which I appreciate. I guess big and burly men sweaty men aren't my favorite male leads, especially when describing them the only images I get are from recent movies that use big ugly men. I genuinely prefer pushing a more realistic narrative. Those who can lift more aren't those lanky people with defined muscles (in fact many actors have to dehydrate to get them as defined as they do in movies) but big with no abs. Not to say they're not ugly, but I personally don't... more>> find it attractive. It was a little funny to break such a stereotype of male leads being skinny dudes, but the humor was lost on me the more it went on just because I'm not attracted to big men. It's alright I suppose but not something I would consider shoujo <<less

The translations are really good and this kind of story is really fresh for reasons you would understand when you read the story and meet the 10th life versions of the main and supporting characters.

I was worried that it'd be quite heavy since it's our female lead's 10th life and she was beheaded by her fiance's orders. But, the attack of the author is light and humorous so it never got too heavy so far. Also, the past 9 lives wasn't that detailed so far, just summarized that the same... more>> events kept on happening. So it sometimes kinda feels it's just one lifetime, just one beheading, then this present amusing life.

So I also got to understand how others can root for the crown prince (and his squad) even though they caused the death of our female lead the past 9 lives. However, as of this time I still don't want her to end up with the crown prince despite his change and strong will to make things right this time around. Because going through 9 deaths due to the same people is no joke, despite them being enchanted. I think being friends is good enough. And I'm kinda shipping her with someone else. *EhemAbelehem*

Any, this is such a worthy and amusing read. ^^ <<less

Unlike what you expect when reading the summary it's actually not what I thought how the story goes. I was reading the RAWs not too long ago just because I like the premise but I was also skeptical of the male lead. Honestly wasn't too keen on going for the crown prince.

That's what I thought but oh boy. What the author did made me want to support the MC with the ML xD. I probably used to past VNG genre that I had expected the usual plot line with a... more>> bit of spice to it, but that's not really how it goes. Well sure there's some cliches however the author has subverted some expectations that I read with wondering what's going to happen next.

I didn't read until the end but all I can say was the comedy was pretty nice. The MC was eccentric and also caring like an mother somewhat. So far the author is going for an odd direction with the characters that it gives me their image in my imagination hard to removed from my mind. I like it but also the story feels fast?

I sincerely hope that new readers give this story a try. This story might not to everyone taste but if it's does then that's great. <<less

Basically, if you have every read a Villainess reincarnation series, this basically turns that concept upside the head, for pure comedic brilliance.

It takes all those troupes and runs away at the speed of light.

That's what this series is. If you were expecting a serious revenge or cutesy brain dead protagonist, then look elsewhere, because this is a series that parodies and celebrates the genre to the MAX.

Um. Yes. Weird.

It's definitely weird. The ML and his entourage are all muscle men in her 10th reincarnation. Fair warning though, unless you have some familiarity with Japanese culture or have watched some anime, you might not get some of the jokes. Since it is a Japanese light novel, the way it's written is as if you're reading a shoujo anime/manga where the characters are... over the top. It seems like the ML and his entourage have also been reincarnated thus they became a bunch of weirdos. The FL is... more>> pretty OP.

Personally, I did not enjoy this one. The way it's written makes it seem like most of the characters have the IQ of a 7 year old... It had a promising plot, but the execution makes it seem like it was written by a 12 year old. <<less

I never thought that this would be so entertaining to read. It was so common for the MC to fall in love with the one who killed/betrayed her on the OG timeline with the excuse or guise that "he changed" "he is just misunderstood " "he was drugged" (e.g. The Abandoned Empress). The flow of the story is great and there isn't a boring chapter.

I read this with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised with the spin of the story.

In the beginning I was very hesitant about reading this considering how she was betrayed by the ML 9 times in her past life and even in her 10th life, he was the ML.

Spoiler

However, as you continue reading you realize that he actually loved the MC but was charmed by the "heroine" since he was very weak.

[collapse]
You actually start cheering on the ML and hope the MC returns his feelings soon.

The chapters are pretty short so things arent dragged on for too long and their is a lot of comedy. The reason I gave this a 4 instead of 5 is cuz by the end when their were 10 or so chapters left, I was just dragging myself to finish it... You can already see how its gonna end and it's just not that interesting (to me).

Overall tho, its pretty good. <<less

The translations are very good and the comments at the end of chapters are funny.

But what I like the most is the comedy touch to the otherwise serious rebirth plot. ML is hilarious: sharp and kind, but shounen-boosted at the same time. Neither he nor FL are beautiful in the classic isekai style but they are passionate, bright (and must I say, so healthy). Definitely a fresh change from other similar settings!

In terms of plot it's still too early to say anything, but so far everything is pretty okay. There... more>> are some gaps (like, for example, how FL spent her 2-9 life, getting stuck in the same situation over and over again - surely she tried to do something?), maybe something will be explained later.

All in all, the outline is similar to other rebirth novels but the details make this one quite unique. Definitely worth a read! <<less

the concept has potential - but it's poorly executed. the protagonist, ally, is a mary sue (overpowered) who reads like a typical w4ttp4d protagonist: she has amazing magical powers that can do anything but heal her little brother, and she has brown hair with brown eyes that she thinks look bad, but no!!! everyone else calls her beautiful several times, but she won't believe it. I mean, I let that slide because she might actually have really bad self esteem, but it gets kind of... irritating because ally later plots... more>> a scheme where she

Spoiler

decides to wear a crimson dress to evoke jealousy from mia, the typical reincarnated girl aiming for the reverse harem. a plan relying entirely on her looks.

[collapse]

it's also frustrating because her thought process swings from "I'm not going to fall for this man, I'm not like other girls" to "I'm going to use my good looks that I think are bad to seduce this man in public so I make mia look bad". ally's character isn't exactly consistent all the time, which you could say makes her 3 dimensional, but in my opinion makes her seem like a poorly thought out character.

i genuinely liked the idea of muscular protagonist and gang, but it's handled rather trivially (?) in a sense that they don't do anything to keep in shape - the muscles are just taken for granted. it's also used as a plot point to show how important figures are "immune to charm" which makes sense as a parody, but after a while is just used as a status nullifier. there is no significance behind it except the funny haha gag that regular girls are repelled by their true form and they are immune to mia's powers, and also muscle big. there is no character development at all, besides from ally slowly falling for maximillian.

the novel is funny if you don't think too deeply, but it's just.. too light of a read for me because it doesn't take itself seriously. maybe that's the point since this whole thing is a parody? it just doesn't appeal to me.

on an unrelated note:

Spoiler

also like. there was a chapter where the translator left a note about a cn novel - I'm not saying they were wrong for how they felt or that I justify the cn novel's idealogies - but the note was just full of slutshaming and onesidedly presented an argument where a woman just toys with men for fun? I haven't read the novel and it sounds pretty derogatory/insulting because the woman in the novel intervenes with relationships by cutting in and also breaks a lot of hearts, but the translator note just left a bad taste in my mouth. also.. like... where is this energy for the male harem light novels with the exact. same. plot. but the genders are reversed. and so I dropped the novel out of personal distaste for both the way the author handled the plot as well as the translator's personal beliefs.

I love it. Sure it's not for everyone but I'm thoroughly enjoying how my expectations were subverted.

Kawaii magical shoujou muscle miracle and some swarthy bishouMEN flex on the plot from an unexpected point of view that rarely gets attention. OK OK, she's not technically a magical girl but it's a refreshing take on an over-saturated, creatively bankrupt genre.

Muscle is the best magic [muffled AYAYAY~ in the distance]. Yes this will make sense if you read it, heh.
