Hmn...3 stars. 2 stars actually if I discount the rare cute kids.

The premise of the story is good. I want some farming in there but what do you know, MC rarely even does farm work. The only plant he has is strawberries. Seriously.

He takes care of animals and stuff but the story doesn't revolve in those cuties. Aside from that, the writing is really too awkward. It's all over the place.

The MC is a major pushover. I can understand kindness and stuff. I truly like kind MCs but this one,... more>> this one is someone who needs extreme supervision in a lot of things. He doesn't think much about things like foreseeing possible crisis due to his actions or inactions.

Anyway, he's really a pushover written too badly. There are novels out there with pushover MCs but written with more substance and brain so it doesn't become unsavory as you read it.

MC isn't interested in his ability in the grand scheme of things. He uses it, yes, but not really doing anything to improve it. There are also characters that are just nuisance. A lot of things are moving forward due to plot armor but if we take that away, a lot of characters there would've been a goner. No consequence and stuff. Well, maybe except for Lilia, she did get her punishment. The only one with a decent brain there was Kaneff. Lazy as he may be, but he does see what needs to be seen.

I'm not sure if I'd want to continue reading this. It just makes me angry with how the story goes.

Oh, one good thing about MC is, he isn't blind to his own emotions, most of the time. <<less

Bluntly, this is a nice novel. The MC so far is having progress in both the farm and the system, and the slices of life it gives are very well made. There isnt the typical "the world killed my relatives" just misfortune that is not that bad. Besides the MC animal obsesion, the sidecharacters are also hearthwarming. The novel is not outstanding in any way, just nice and above averge, giving it a slow life feeling. 5/5 stars, would recomend to anybody not hellvent into action or perfect MC.

It's a not so good 'heartwarming' story.

Lots of moments feel awkward and the overall writing quality is below average. Other than cuteness of some side characters this novel has nothing notable.

As you can expect of a story of such nature - mc's personality is gentle and he has 'self-sacrificing/risking' mentality for the sake of others.

... more>> It's also normal for him to start preaching about something and give a shameful speech.

While things above can be attributed to genre and be more or less ignored, the problem is that author keeps introducing some 3rd rate villains that keep bothering MC. And because he is acting like a pushover they are even more annoying and fearless when compared to some face-slapping novels.

It looks to me that author is out of ideas and keeps these annoying flies for the sake of word count. Such petty villains will be present in most arcs after c50. (There were 3 of them by the end of c110).

I can't find any reason to recommend this novel to anyone. Maybe it's not the worst thing to read but that's about it. <<less

MC needs backbone, and it needs more heartwarming and less politics, screw the powers and the like, just work on the farm and pet. It's good early on, but it's slowly becoming a chore to read.
If you advertise as a heartwarming story (especially your name) then never have politics... also it would benefit more from a romantic sub-plot, cause atm it just feels like it's becoming a tr*shy harem fic

The ML is a gentle and caring person but I don't particularly like how the story is progressing to become a bit of a harem with the demon maid, fox beast woman and the next-door neighbour. The stories about the farm are very cute but I'm getting a bit put off by the female characters being introduced.

Otherwise, it's an ok read.

You take a naive and pushover JP MC and drop them into a Korean dungeons novel, and this is what you get. The thought of a dungeon novel where the MC doesn’t fight to become the strongest is refreshing but this MC is a total wuss and don’t get me wrong I don’t want a mu*der hobo. This novel is basically written by someone who does not know where they want to go. It introduces an large amount of characters, plot points, organizations, groups, and ideas then just basically drops 95% of them into the plot hole of forgotten memory. It feels schizophrenic and unfocused, and it pretty much just ends abruptly. They don't even explain where the MC's ... more>>

, and the "farming" aspect is him just charming animals with his power and anything that is not animal husbandry boils down to maybe one or two sentences like "he planted seeds". It is warming when he just plays cutely with animals and children, but when the novel tries to go beyond that it usually falls flat as a crepe. It seems the author really has no idea how to write anything properly except "the innocent are cute", and they want to drag out the novel by trying random things in between that.

Hard pass, don't waste your time. <<less

I find it really crappy how they ended it, litterly some revelation. Litterly some new characters and some minor character developtment and then you get a 2 year time skip and the story is over. Balance restored, andras has a kid (not even sure if he married or still engaged). No info about boss background (both the group and the demonlord family side, no info at all about the sick sister), no info about the whole mess with the evil group AT ALL so in the end the story went from a 5/5 to a 1/5 for me

Honestly its quite annoying how theres a demon maid and how she acts. I expected more thinking it'd be heartwarming, cute, etc. I am very disappointed in this and have no urge to continue reading this

This novel has a somewhat interesting setting that is executed badly.

I also have no idea who's talking at some times. Normally, the contents of a particular speaker takes place between two " marks. And a different speaker will use another pair of " marks after the previous speaker. But, in this novel, the same speaker can use up two pairs of " marks back to back. And they will also be separated into two paragraphs to make it even more confusing as to who is speaking.

The MC is the typical... more>> gentle kind-hearted beta male who acts s*upidly and awkwardly. The other side characters aren't no more interesting than him either.

There are also a lot of useless details that are just there for no reason. I understand that this is a slice of life novel, but it doesn't automatically negate how boring this novel is. To make slice of life novels interesting, you need to either have good characters or good comedy. But this novel had neither, the comedy is bland and awkward, and the characters are shallow and even irritating at times.

The writing style of this novel felt more like reading a diary. There is nothing interesting happening, a bunch of useless descriptions, and just generally not fun to read.

I also have questions for the start of the novel. Ryan said that he needs a person with thin mana presence, and the MC fit the description because he's an incomplete awakener. But, can't Ryan just find some non-awakaner for the job? There is no explanation for this in the novel.

The farm care aspect is also questionable. Tbh, this isn't even farm care. This is just a guy with an awakening specialized for taming animals masquerading it as skills. There's no proper, manual farm care, nothing that the MC needs to learn to care for specific animals. He just needs to act gently and feed them food and all the animals will like him. There is no technical stuff, there is no need to study the animal behaviors because the MC can just use his skills and freaking mind read the animals.

The plot is also a mess, after the first few chapters setting up the world building, it felt like the author ran out of ideas. The situation got uselessly serious all of a sudden and the MC started having flashbacks without the author having any prior setups with this situation.

There really isn't much I like about this novel. The best it can do is to make you feel a little bit of wholesomeness, but it lacks in that aspect too when compared to other novels. The farming and animal caring part isn't really well done either, most of it is completed by skills and such. This novel doesn't have anything that stands out. <<less

I really wanted to like it more, I tried so hard because it promised farming, slice of life, childcare & an MC who isn't on a quest to rule the world but dear lord there is zero character growth. The MC is a naive pushover who keeps going on a self-sacrificing path. I mean, he doesn't have to be a mu*derous revenge obsessed idiot but why won't he use the advanges he has? Or complain about any injustices that happen to him? He's practically trying to become the whitest of... more>> white lotuses. The cute farm animals are almost relagated to becoming power props with useless politics that keeps coming up. The author really wants to show MC as the universal father who's amazing with kids but what he's doing by giving in to every single thing is raising a brat. I'm just getting annoyed now with the novel. Also, has the author ever met a real living breathing woman? Every single one of them is just dumb or simping. I wanted a relaxing novel, but instead I'm mostly annoyed. I really wish the execution was better.

Translation is good, honestly it's one of the reasons why I've kept on reading. I'll try reading some more to see if anything changes & update my review if it gets better <<less

Making it 4 stars for now but I personally like it. MC is the kind of a guy who is like a nice uncle kinda vibe going on. So far romance is not a big focus here but rather the farm life and the kinds of power struggle that appears from time to time. Its like a typical good vs bad where MC always exhibit the good side.

The world building is fairly generic but its used in a good way. Racism, power struggles, hidden power houses, etc. There is something... more>> lacking but so far its building up slowly and I'm not done yet so I cant say.

I like that the main farm animals is like the most feared lmao. Its like dragons don't got any handle on them but the story has yet to give them a real predator so who knows.

I put this here because the translator did a great job so far. The dialogue maybe iffy cause the speakers was not clear at times, however I find this kind of thing from time to time in literature so its not weird. So I recommend to give this novel a try. <<less

This started very strong with the MC having great motivations and all the characters are pretty well fleshed out. The progress of the MC's ability gets very sporadic where sometimes he'll get stronger just by meeting new animals and other times there will be no advancement whatsoever even after connecting deeply with a new animal and being trusted by them.

I don't really think of the MC as being much of a pushover so much as just being polite up until the griffin arc. In the griffin arc every bad thing... more>> commenters said about the MC is justified. It was quite infuriating and absurd and pretty reliant on luck to resolve.

That was really the only time I disliked the MC or felt that the writer was making bad choices. Several arcs later though... the arcs are interesting, the animals and kids are cute, but it just feels a bit all over the place. I have lost some faith in the writer and there are continuing issues that seem like they could be immediately resolved or progressed if the MC chose to address them but just nothing happens. In past arcs, similar lingering issues don't seem to get addressed until the absolute worst possible moment, so if this pattern keeps continuing I foresee losing more interest and having worse opinions on the writing ability of the author. <<less

wow this story would be so much better if the MC had some agency and wasn't behaving like a pushover in every chapter. I can't remember how many arcs in this story are someone else coercing him into yet another crappy situation that miraculously turns out fine. Someone above mentioned JP naïve and pushover character in a korean story and that's exactly what this is. Only difference is everything else about the story is decent. Just this one part is starting to get old quickly. so far the story is nice and sweet but there are some spects I feel like culd be imporved, the trans;ator is doing a good work so far, their wording could definetly be better but its easy to undestand what they meant with context cloes

the story so far is sort of generic, but im easy to please so its fine with me lol, the world building on the other hand is somewhat poor, so far but I havent gotten that far yet so hopefully it gets better sooner or later.

The novel is interesting especially for the people who is looking for a light hearted novel to relax their mind off.

The world building is not immediately dumped but instead is revealed one by one. The discrimination, The rules and traditions, and etc. Is properly explained.

However for a slice of life, I'm a bit pissed about the MC a bit (or maybe I just got too into cold hearted MCs) especially when his determination suddenly disappear for a second like when

Sure MC did understand their intention. But the complaint and the attitude of not expecting it to be that way is kinda pissing me off. So I kinda just skimmed it through.

The antagonist here are also quite smart but too flat for me. What can I expect for a slice of life but yeah.

Overall, it's good and entertaining to read expecially if you're finding a read with not much drama going on. <<less
