I know this is supposed to be a comedy, but honestly, I just feel really, really bad for our MC and wish everyone would leave her alone. She witnessed the male lead capture and torture a criminal during a party. There was blood everywhere and muffled screaming. This was deeply disturbing and traumatizing to the MC, who is a very sheltered and timid young lady. She has very legitimate reasons for being 100% terrified of the ML and to not want to marry him. She has panic attacks in his presence. She had nightmares about him killing people for a year.
That's not funny or sweet.
On top of this, she has a disgustingly misogynistic, "traditional" father who is flat out abusive (physically, mentally, emotionally, and neglectfully). A combination of terror over her father's bit*h fits and that the ML would turn violent and vengeful if she offends either man forces the FL to endure her panic and continue to appease them, creating our plot.
Granted, the ML turns out to be quite kind and sweet to the FL and things work out in the end, but really, don't go into this expecting lighthearted hilarity.
