It details the life of a mid-rank soldier who died at the very end of the war against the Demon Race. Fortunately for him, he wakes up to find that he’s a baby again, in the embrace of his real mother, years in the past. Determined to avoid the chain of tragedies that took his beloved ones away from him, he takes advantage of the advancements in swordsmanship and magic that developed during the war (as we all know, wars are when many scientific breakthroughs tend to happen), and tries his best to prepare for the demon invasion as well as strengthen himself with maximum efficiency.

Some might call this a cliched story, "hero" dying and being reincarnated as a baby in the past with the knowledge of whats happening. Well, thats here, but the MC is not a hero, not even a commander or so, just a regular soldier, but with the knowledge of the magic and techniques developed during the war.

What I love about this story is the tint of darkness here and there. I have high hopes for this and I hope the releases arent that far apart, definitely on my reading list.

Made an account just to rate this novel. Although I've only read 6 chapters (all that's translated) I really enjoyed it and think it has a lot of potential. MC isn't some edgy power obsessed idiot but has decent personality. Writing is also ok and I like the plot. Unfortunately it seems current translator is planning on giving up on translation or already did due to school :-/ I hope this gets a lot more attention.

I love this novel as it contains a premise that I am very fond of. As stated in another review, the MC wasn't of any significance in his previous life, but now uses his knowledge to set a new foundation for his new life (though I wouldn't be surprised if there is significant plot armor).

I really like this novel, though most of the story I read is from the manga. This a very typical yet interesting story. He's not a hero, he's just a poor soldier given the second chance. As the story goes the past of the MC is being revealed, that's the good part. Both his current and previous live is interesting.
