tl;dr: su*cide squad, but the characters are less edgy and more sympathetic

i decided to translate this after seeing the manga adaptation and finishing reading all the currently published chapters.

i think this series will appeal to fans of strategy and war series, for those who like to read about battles playing outin interresting ways and fights between two different, diametrically opposed sides. Beyond this, there's also intrigue and conspiracy behind the scenes, so those who like political games and mysteries might enjoy this as well. the worldbuilding is fairly interesting as well, and while you might think that the premise where nobody (at least, among the main sqaud) can actually die, could lower the stakes in the story, the revival mechanic is certainly not without cost, and leads to some poignant character moments. Furthermore, as this is a 'squad-based' story, each member of the team has their own specialities and not one person is all-powerful - for those who like such stories where different people have to get together, provide their own skillset and cooperate. The individual characters are also sufficiently well-developed, you get their backstories, their motivations and how they've come to be in this situation, and their interactions with each other are also realistic and enjoyable. The main character is also one that is fairly unique among the stories here, a resigned individual who's lost his idealism but yet still tries to hold on to his beliefs.

all in all, a story I think is worth your time, read a few chapters and give it a shot. <<less
