To each his own. For me, if you're bored or you're waiting for the new chapter of your favorite novel, you can try this for past time.

Spoiler

It's not action story, so it is recommended for those who are watching the slow-paced story. It is moderately calm growth and is centered on village management and development. The MC has a sense of responsibility and has a calm impression. It's fun to watch, it has its moments but it's hard for me to digest this story because of so many reasons. The writing skills are fine and the contents are worth seeing, but the progress is too slow. Half of the story is the MC's monologue. The part to experiment was too long. It was a bit boring to apply this and that and try it, so many boring parts but I endure it. Alas, It crumbles overall. The ending is rushed. It's a crappy way to end the story. It would have been really fun if author had done the last part well, but it was like an illusive feeling of catching clouds. It lacks the appeal.

Also, it became like a chicken meat couple overnight, like a switch that was flip suddenly.. The main character (14 years old) is married to a 21-year-old, and s*xual contact is constantly mentioned. Look, I'm not against having s*xual relationship in a story, No matter how low the level of civilization and the world view, in a world where life expectancy is 100-120 years old, 14 years old is really a kid. Korean readers also points this out because it's ridiculous. I don't have qualms if it's 16+ or the MC is adult, even if the heroine is 30-40+ then it's okay as long as the MC is adult but anyway, that's the setting of the plot. I just don't like a semi shotacon genre. It's not my taste, it's lame.

I'm really enjoying this novel! It's quite unique, from a completely different perspective! I wonder how the system actually works, like how did the Korean person who's "sponsoring" our main character get the system? Is it quite common in their world? And other information about it. It's quite different than your usual systems.

The author could do a better job in researching.

One can make an assumption that person sending Hendrick stuff is from Asia and lives in a world much like today's earth. Also the system has a type of AI that is currently helping Hendrick. The person helping Hendrick seems to have some basic understanding of the tech level that Hendrick is living in along with basic environment. So person helping Hendrick should have access to something like the Internet. This would likely mean that person can discuss things with permaculture groups,... more>> historical societies, forestry groups, survival groups, etc. The items sent to Hendrick are somewhat helpful but not as targeted as one would expect.

For example a saw was sent but no axe. Hendrick live in a mountain forest area. The saw has limited use compared to axe. Hendricks current tech level would burn wood for fuel. So rocket stove, simple wood stoves, etc. Would be key. Also, likely charcoal is cheap so Hendrick could be sent simple charcoal stove or grill with a couple bags of charcoal. Since Hendrick has Inventory bulky items would be no issue.

Likely the person helping Hendrick has access to used tools and such that would still be useful but much cheaper to obtain. So Hendrick would likely be sent a larger percentage of used goods in the way of tools. Again, since Hendrick has inventory a collection of mattock, shovels, picks, axes, saws, rakes, broad forks, etc. Can be sent. One flea market, garage sale, etc. Could supply may different random items at low cost. Items sent to Hendrick can actually be broken down into categories. Cooking, Food, Tools, Household, etc.

On the other side of things Hendrick must send God things. So what thing would be valuable to a modern person in Asia? Plants can be tissue cultured so novel plant can be worth money! If plants in Hendrick world are similar to God's world then herbs may have value. Think ginseng and such. Also, animals may have value. Think soft shell turtles, furs, song birds, etc. Teaching Hendrick to read and write is a sound move. However, sending a cheap camera or video recorder early in the relationship is even better. Hendrick can just record things and send chip or camera back. This can provide tons of information to God. This information can then be used in a number of ways. It would not be hard to teach Hendrick to use such a device. For God needs information first and foremost in order to get items of value not just random offering!

Also, since Hendrick is living in low tech mountain forest area on would expect traps, snares, etc. To play an important roll in provided valuable protein. Fishing supplies such as fish traps, trout lines, modern fishing line and hooks, etc. Snares and traps for land animals as well as book on primitive traps made from forest resources not that Hendrick can read. Lime sticks, mist nets, etc. To chatch birds for sending to God or eating. <<less
