Accidentally, Ye Xiaochen became new generation of Heavenly Farmer (Shen Nong), the treasure in the eyes of deities of three realms.

Moon fairy’s rabbit eats only the carrots grown from his farm.

The heavenly troop which was formed from the magical beans, came out from his farm.

The ninth level elixir which was just released, he supplied the materials for it.

Ye Xiaochen’s goal is to become the overlord of agriculture, not only in earth but also in whole three realms.

I want the heavens to use agricultural products that I plant, I want all the sentient beings in three realms to eat food made from my vegetables, I want all the gods to give up the idea of only swallowing air and eat meals three times in a day just like a normal person.

Read to the latest raw... and had to drop it.

The whole story... went down hill in these last 50 chapters of constant time skipping and leapfrogging upgrades that it's a total mess to digest. I should have guessed it now that I think of it, the author went from daily 2 chapters a day to very slow 1 chapters that skipped and power up for no real reason.

Builds up so much depth in how this heaven-sent plant-cultivator system works, how he uses it to help humanity and solve his problems, yet the author wanted to show how OP mankind is with nukes and technology that can cut a portal into the heavens. Totally jumped into Sci-fi mode with how much the novel was on the supernatural.

Given how heaven developed this sort of system, why is that they can't even recognize nukes?

Worst was that the MC literally knew that his work plants were contributing to all this and that he even let them go on with it while knowing everything was being done. It's literally saying "Oh, why should I care even though they gave me the system to help heaven as long as my family are not involved." Too much brain-hole ideas that there is a plant to solve every damn freaking situation, plight, illness, technological problem in the world.

Honestly the whole synopsis no longer applies at this point. I recommend to drop it after the romance ignites and blooms well enough to end on a good read.

It was okay in the beginning and middle but it started to go down hill. The author stated in the last chapter author's note that he forced himself to finish this "tr*shy" (his words not mine) novel for the readers. He lost interest and just rushed it.
Spoiler

Basically he becomes famous in the botany field by curing a tree and all of the experts that failed went to learn from him. He starts teaching and spreading the knowledge of soul power communication with plants. He opens a research institute. He opens a restaurant that opens many branches. He cures the deaf girl he likes and helps her brother by using plants that absorbs radiation. He becomes world famous. The Jade emperors command the immortal world to send 40 weak weak cultivators to the human world. There is the human world, immortal cultivation world, and the Heaven where true immortals live (system creators). MC gains 2 girls and 2 guys to become his subordinates. All 40 are super talented in farming and were sent to join him in the heavens later on. One of the 40 reveals the existence of the immortal world to China and joins them to destroy the cultivators that treated him like tr*sh. The MC gains the power to speed up time in the farm, take the farm with him. His subordinates marry and have children. His girlfriend becomes a world famous singer. He ignores China plan to conquer the immortal world for resources. The govt doesn't touch him because of his power and contributions to china. He provides china with fast growing good quality rice flours etc and plants that cures many diseases at a low cost. He is left with a mystery of the death of the previous 3 farmer gods that is never answered. The govt secretly enters the immortal world and conquers it using nukes and the radiation absorbing plant to gather reaources which they use to conquer the human world. MC marries his girl and teaches his family and students cultivation. He takes his wife students and subordinates to heaven while leaving his family in case there is trouble. The end.

I really liked the concept at first, it's not like bringing the farm to live in another world in which the MC transferred to another world and granted farming cheat, and also not like great tang idyll in which the MCs got thrown back to the past and have to use their knowledge about farming and cunning mind to survive. The concept of deity, cultivation and also farming magic/technique in present world is a great combination, at least that's what I thought.

Now let me tell you what bothered me. The story is too rushed, especially the last 100 chapters. Time skips after time skips happened, and when there was a problem, it would be solved way too conveniently. In the last 30 or so chapters, you just could feel that the author was giving up.

This novel had potential, but it withered just before blooming. I pity the author, let's just hope that the author will learn from this mistake. I enjoyed the beginning anyway. Cheers. <<less

The protagonist might be a farmer but it doesn't seem that he know much about farming at all. He constantly makes such rookie mistakes and seem to lack knowledge about a lot of basic stuff. A lot of this is hidden by the writing, by being very vague the details about the farm and farming and the fact that magic factored into it, but still, the details you could get paints a picture of a farmer who don't know a thing about farming no matter how the author tries to... more>> deny it.

The world building also sucks. The details are just nonsensical. Immortal soil is as hard as iron that you can't cut it with a hoe? Bullsh*t. Soil is made of particles, a mass of small matter. No matter how hard the individual particles are, as a mass they will never be hard as something truly solid. At one time it called Nitrogen as a mineral. As an avid gardener myself, the details I read here just makes me cringe.

The plot is kinda interesting and fun, but it is kinda marred by some subpar drama and listless writing.

The characters are really bland. The protagonist has no character whatsoever and the rest are paper thin cliches. Though, the author doesn't use the cliche too badly, they still aren't that interesting as characters.

~~~~~~~~~
It is just so poorly executed. It does have some innocent charm to it that makes it rather engaging to read so it has the potential to be great, but as it is now, it is just an alright work, fun but nothing spectacular. <<less
Novel is kinda mediocre, the typical "5 minutes into the story the protagonist has connections to the richest person in the city who happens to have a beautiful young female in his family that may become interested in the protagonist". What drags this down a star is the marriage interview he goes to. The girl has epilepsy so the family is happy he didnt end up with a "defective" wife. F*ck you author, my room mate has epilepsy and while its not fun to deal with, its really not your... more>> place to talk sh*t about them. <<less
It’s a rather irritating novel.
I feel like the author is really expressing his disdain towards the female populace... his named female characters are all beautiful (cringe) and disabled in some way / a relative. He sees a beautiful mute deaf girl and hence spends a ton of money to save her beloved plants... then he has a b*tchy villain of a Sister-in-law which is a shrew... then he goes to a marriage meeting with a girl with epilepsy (later he goes on about there is no way she could have... more>> been beautiful and have a house and still be looking for a Husband, clearly she was trying to trick him into marriage with a woman with epilepsy and ruin his future...)
‘The MC doesn’t really have much character depth. The bits of his thought processes I can see show he is just a bigot prejudiced misogynistic blight on humanity. <<less
Only 2 chapters with moderate length so I won't really say much but this is another promising farm story with game elements.
Translation... there are still mistakes here and there, so I do recommend getting a proofreader/editor.
The story seems very fun so I hope that the translation can pick up the pace! Hehe :p
Never thought that I would end up giving this novel a 2-star rating. Had decided to give the novel a 3 or 4-star rating but the last 50 chapters or so really changed my mind. Basically, the quality nosedived and the tag 'nationalism' came into play real hard. I'll list all the things I dislike in the spoilers tag.
... more>>
Spoiler
To start off, MC is morally questionable character. He steals and destroys public property for personal reason and is two-faced. He knew that his country would invade the cultivation world a few years in advance but did nothing to stop it (even though he has a high-ranking insider in the bureau) leading to a genocide in the cultivation world. Worse, he even supplies the military with products he developed. Worst, the person who provided intel about the cultivation world is someone from the cultivation world that was initially sent to Earth by immortals to help MC. Guess what, neither the immortals nor the MC had a sense of responsibility about it. In the end, China monopolizes a lot of things and become the number one country with a mega-sized colony. The abrupt ending was actually good, in my opinion, as I am not sure how the author can reverse the tragedy happening in the last 50 chapters.
[collapse]
Now, is the novel worth reading? If you are really free and idle, you can give it a go. At least, the novel provides a rather convincing portrayal of a countryside MC with conservative background and environment. Novel also gives a glimpse of the inner-workings of things in mainland China. Basically, cronyism, corruption, nepotism and abuse of power is common. <<less
There are immortals, there is cultivation and there is definitely farming. It's still one chapter and things are barely revealed but the story is about this grad student coming back home and opening up a farm. Things don't go well and he gets struck by lightning. BOOM.
Need more chapters to judge appropriately but it's alright for now. Translation is good.
Edit: After chapter 2, it's a bit clearer. Think Farmville for immortal gods managed by the MC. Sounds fun
It started good but author couldn't keep quality. It stopped being worth reading and things went into tr*shbin.
By the way China freaking bombed other world because its okay and MC gave thumbs up for this action. Good job. Author is dog. Never read any of his work again. 1 star.
Forgot to mention tr*shy ending which was basically rushed. Author even dissed his own work. Probably writing some propaganda about bad foreigners now.
As you go on reading, just a few dozen chapters and you can easily know, this was a dropped novel disguised as a short one. And I'm f*cking glad this atrocity wasn't fully developed.
It starts as a genuinely intriguing novel, as a fascinating and lasting content.
And then "Golden Dragon" can't hold his ret*rded tr*sh ass sh*t back and goes without stopping; mode we-chinese-know-everything-and-better: ultra activated!
It doesn't need to be mentioned how TRAAAAAAAASHWWHHH of personality it's needed to have to demonstrate his apprecation; his appreciation towards how easily and what-to-be-done... more>> and obvious common sense of discarding a person with ANY kind of disability. And yes, this is one of novel that its author is portraying themselves in it, that weird kind of stuff, yes.
And MC personality is of an actually idiot-jerk, who is also a f*g pushover. And it alternates whenever Mr. PussAuthor-whenever-whynot happens.
Then we get to the -every 3 paragraphs mention how smart and calculative MC is- unending c*ck-sucking abilities, he is so good at it (sarcastic:) -).
-Every 5 paragraphs describe how 500iq MC moves on -PLANTING- and also -1+7+1.3 MATHS- oh, and also -WATER GOES THROUGH, YOU STOP IT, IT DOES NOT ANYMORE-.
Every 2 lines of characters, yell out and praise how MC did: "What did you do¿ And you¿ And you¿ And you¿ in an interrogation, meanwhile the mayor, experts on nuclear shit, other scientist and special team for security are like: "Did you do it, haha, lol.".
Would not recommend, only if someone is curious about farming-xianxia novel/content. <<less
The early and even mid parts of this novel are fine, we got the usual "I got power but need to hide it so I'm going to do crazy stuff with it and hope nobody notices" but it's not exactly a problem.
Despite introducing multiple females, there is no hint of harem, which is nice given the tendency of those power fantasy novels.
The issue is that at some point the author decided to rush things more and more in order to "finish" it and it skips over everything that was built... more>> up to that point.
The last 50 or so chapters feel more like a summary of several chapters worth of content than chapters, that's how rushed it becomes at that point.
A bit sad because it started like such an interesting little web novel, not award-winning but fun enough to have fun reading. <<less
it's sort of interesting and sort of s*upid. MC is a graduate with a degree in agriculture. Despite this he doesn't know that you need to give your plants space to grow and you can't place them too close to each other. He's also in his early 20s and still has dreams of growing taller.
I recommend this series for anyone looking for a fantastic farming series. Farming is the core for this series not an add-on. The MC is hard working and slow to progress in cultivation but the twists and turns and the way he handles himself are intriguing. While this may not be the fastest moving novel, it progresses steadily and consistently.
Ah this story is so frustrating. It has a good idea, but then it lacks ending goal/target, the MC also has uninteresting personality.
Spoiler
SO it ended up with him doing something because he can't bear to see a rich pretty girl be sad, but at the same time another girl, because she is poor and sickly, she must be trying to scam him. But ofc, he wants to get rich, but he doesnt cling or showoff, he is a good person. He socialize, but he is also an introvert.
[collapse]
And the people around him are just like cabbages. They are just there.
Overall, this story could have been good, but sadly its not..
Truthfully, I was hoping that this novel would maintain its good writing until the end however, it become mediocre on the latter part and and went downhill maybe one-third/three-fourths of the novel. The premise was good at the start and the pacing was good but it the writing felt rushed and weird...I was planning to give this a 2 star but since I enjoyed more than half of the novel, I felt I need to increase it to at least 3 stars. If anyone wants to read a novel with... more>> a satisfying ending, then I would probably advice you to steer clear from this one. You'll probably get sick of the MC because of how the story was written. <<less
Damn. Disappointing. The novel was very good up until around ch 250. I can feel that the author is giving up on this novel. I really liked this novel and upset that it has a rushed ending based on the reviews here when I came to check and we all know how that is : (
One of the things I liked about this novel is that the novel introduces many females that have an interest in the MC but nothing ever comes from it except the main FL I guess... more>> you could say who is always constant. This was one of the things I liked as I’m not a fan of harems.
The MC had so much potential in character growth I would love to read about but now it’s like he’s too OP and now as a reader your just waiting for it to end and there are many things left open. But overall I’m giving this novel a 2.5 rounded up to a 3 ⭐️ <<less
Finished it but honestly the last 50-60ch were bull.
I actually got so pissed off by it. The writer really has made it sound so justified and right. Also the MC went so out of character at that point. I was just waiting when he will do smth, was so disappointed.
Really dont like the writers that are so fk patriotic and think that they should mention that in their Novels and exaggerate to that degree. Even if it is Fiction, man
Wow a novel so good was ruined by the crapy 50-60... more>> last chapters. And it felt so rushed.
Disappointed Disappointed Disappointed
Now need to read something else to get my mood back. Waaaaa so mad. <<less
If you have read the genre, then you will know more or less how this one goes, you can think of it as a standard template, bless plot armor.
Towards the end
Spoiler
you can see that author wasn't invested to keep going with it, which resulted in a hurried and unsatisfying end, but at least he ended it.
