Dude lives in modern Japan. His entire problem is that there was a guy in his school that's smarter than him. He couldn't beat the smarter guy. So goes into this weird self pity cycle just because he couldn't beat this smart dude by studying. This is his entire shtick.

"There are some hard mode players like no cheat and peasant starters, but as I was already in hard mode in my previous life, I want to have fun and be a cheerleader in this life."

He is not an African child soldier in Burkina Faso, a kidnapped war orphan in Ukraine, a displaced Syrian civil war refugee nor a eastern european kid used for videos by organized crime. His "hard mode" life is studying for exams in Japan. Protagonist is completely unlikeable by chapter 3. Then he goes and doubles down on that by lusting over a 6 years old.

Start interesting, well, as much as any other isekai type novel, if you like the genre. But after that it gets unconfortable...

First it's a slice of life, not a problem in itself, but the MC and is "harem" is still 6 years old at ch39... For me it kind of kill any credibility when you're said that people don't have any problem letting a 6 years old become an adventurer, or see him revolutionize the magic/science of the world, or that he fight with no problem a uber class adventurer...... more>> Nope, sorry but I can't, 6 years old MC, I just can' t.

Still it wouldn't be so bad if the author wasn't also adding some remark a bit too unconfortable when he describe for a few chapters some erot*c fantasies about 6 years old girls... I'm not a prude and I would not blink at some hardcore bondage gangbang in a novel, but s*xual inuendos about 6 years kind of make me ask myself if the author is not on a verge of doing something he shouldn't...

So in the end, not a good writing or story, a bit boring, but most of all it reads like the wet dream of a pe*ophile... I really only pushed to see until when you will see them adults or at list teenagers, but ch39 still not there and the translator dropped it (not surprised, it's really unconfortable to read). <<less

It's a enjoyable slice of life. Very short chapters with easy problems/solutions. Main characters powers are decently cool. BUT

Spoiler

There are a few chapters were the author describes a 6 year old that made me super uncomfortable. Like I want to give him the benefit of the doubt but like REALLY.

At one point he describes a sleeping position to be similar to p*rn he watched. He is describing 6 year olds, absolutely disgusting

First of all, although there're currently 2 translators listed, the later one is mtl (if not barely, it's very lightly edited) that can really go far off from the real meaning and a headache to read or simply hilarious as expected of pure mtl, so be prepared for that if you somehow choose that one to read ahead. Seems like the other one was removed.

Here's my early review:
This novel has an interesting start and quite promising! MC's pure wish to be rewarded for his efforts (coz we know real life don't always give you that) is fulfilled after he reincarnated in a magical isekai (of course!). The novel starts from how he died in his original world after frustrated that he never got the top spot in school despite his super hard work, and have a out-of-body experience until he realized he's born as a baby in another world, and there began his new life in a well-off family of hottie and beauties (lol) ! Haven't read far enough to know how the story would go, but enough to make me want to continue. Hoping the future harem plot won't be annoying.

Objectively the story is not that bad. It's your usual Isekai with OP MC using unique hidden magic. Good enough to pass time, 3.5/5. But since the change in translator the quality has dropped from a readable text to Google translate. I'd put it at a 1/5 in its current state but in respect for the novel it's a 2/5.

It was quite fun at the start, but holy crap it become very weird with the MCs harem, they are all 6 years old but all the s*xual remarks towards the kids is creepy. At one point the MC makes a mention about list towards one of the children. I wouldn't have been that off put if they were adults, but it's like a pedo fantasy.

I'm always giving every series I newly read the benefit of the doubt, but this series also falls to common issue of "age progression" tag where the Author fail to understand the common sense of society about a child. No one doubting or questioning a toddler acting like and adult, and the Author writing "actions" that too soon for MC's age.

It has good start, but personally I really don't like a story where a toddler doing weird things with no one caring about it. I know it's fantasy and has... more>> magic and MC is an old man in the soul, but it still feels weird. It would be better if the Author time skip it to at least 10 years old before starting the story.

I'm used to reading MTL so I'm not complaining about it. <<less
