Lu Yao is bound to the Dream Fulfillment System for running businesses in another world. By continually opening stores in this alternate world, she can eventually fulfill a wish.

Soon, a long-abandoned commercial street in the city quietly springs to life.

Shops in the real world now connect to a parallel universe.

First Store: A Snack Shop in a Horror World

The super spicy grilled wings shop on the 99th floor of the other world has recently become very popular.

The shopkeeper is a regular human with snow-white skin and dark hair. Her wings are the real deal-so spicy they cut through your throat, leaving customers in tears after eating them.

NPCs working in various horror game scenarios love to visit after work to grab a drink and a bite, finding it even more thrilling than their jobs.

Second Store: A Nail Salon in a Magic World

Suddenly, a strange shop opens in the city, offering nail services.

“What is a nail service?”

A curious dragon enters the shop.

Two hours later, he walks out with ten shiny, dazzling claws.

“Nail service is amazing! I must tell my friends!!!”

Lu Yao’s nail salon in the other world is a hit!

Third Store, Fourth Store…

Every store Lu Yao opens in the other world is wildly popular and gets rave reviews. And at the end of her journey, there’s still…

I've lost many nights of sleep because I was obsessively binging this story but it was worth it because this novel was truly a great read.

The premise seems simple at first, a mortal FL is tasked with running a store in different worlds by a mysterious system that promises to fulfill one of her wishes if she succeeds. If you've been on this site for a while, like I have, I'm sure you're run into similar premises with wish granting systems before. However, there are are several brilliant decisions that... more>> the author makes that make this story truly unique in this genre:

  1. The FL's memory was tampered with so she doesn't even remember the wish she made. Thus, her journey is not only focusing on completing the missions but also figuring out why she's doing them and eventually, who or what actually is the FL?
  2. Each of the worlds that the FL travels to is well-built and populated with a cast of interesting characters. Not only that, the FL also operates a different business in each world, some of which I've never seen featured in any other business management focused novel. Thus, the interactions between the FL and her customers, the FL and her employees, and the employees and the customers is always fresh and unpredictable.
  3. The stores remain open after the FL finishes her missions and she uses resources and people from existing stores to help her with the mission in new stores. By the end, the FL basically has an army of magical and non-magical entities working for her otherworldly enterprise. I personally loved watching the different stores collaborate for holiday events.
Here is a breakdown of each world and store:
Spoiler
  1. Snack shop x land of the dead
  2. Nail shop x western fantasy world
  3. Blind box store x world ruined by natural disasters
  4. Animal cafe x futuristic world where world weary people turn into fish and sink to the bottom of the ocean
  5. Cinema x ancient times
  6. Tutoring center x superpowered world
  7. Hot spring hotel x world of doll sized humans
  8. Internet cafe x world of cultivation
  9. DIY workshop x virtual game world
  10. Errand shop x post apocalyptic zombie world
  11. Bookstore x futuristic robot world
  12. Robot rental shop x rustic village
  13. Grocery store x modern world

My favorite overall store concepts are the nail shop, internet cafe and the hot springs hotel. I liked that the author references real books in the bookstore arc but that crazy sci-fi twist in the end was a bit much for me. I wasn't a huge fan of the virtual game world or the village because I couldn't get emotionally invested in them but I understood their narrative purpose.

The story is split into 2 parts. Part one covers stores 1-6 and part 2 covers store 7-13. The first half is more lighthearted and humourous but in the second half things sometimes got very very dark. As the story progresses, the FL gets more badass to the point that she's OP but I didn't mind it so much because her personality was always sharp, stable, and amusingly money grubbing. Part 2 focuses a tiny bit more on the romance but overall I wouldn't say this is a romance heavy story at all even if it is a HE. I liked the ML enough but he didn't even have as much screen time as some of the FL's employees. Standout employees for me included:
Spoiler

I read this via mtl so the names might be off but

  • Harold: I loved this little tsundere teen dragon. He was badass and so fiercely loyal towards the FL and I loved that she took him under her wing and became his new family.
  • The guardian seals were so adorable.
  • Uncle Ji and Xiao Ji: I appreciate capable people and I liked seeing their dorky moments.
  • Hei Ci: I just imagine him to the the cutest little baby in the world.
  • Bu Du: I loved how he became the FL's pseudo son.

Overall, this wasn't a perfect story but I was thoroughly entertained while reading it. Both parts combined it's over 1000 chapters but I'd recommend it to those who those who like stories that focus on world hopping, business management, slowly leveling up and a large cast of characters and POVS. <<less

Fun novel with a laid back MC. It's fun to explore the mysteries of each world.

I only really enjoyed the first 2 worlds though, because afterwards she's always joined by a bunch of clingy people from her previous worlds, who I found rather annoying.

Romance: none so far, although the translator kept speculating about every male character that appeared

Dropped because the later arcs got annoying

NOOOOO... Why did it end 😫? I want moooooorreee😭

Such a brilliant plotline, unique premise and a fantastic MC, how long should I wait to find another novel like this???

Brief synopsis: a girl is connected to a system which makes her go to different worlds and open shops while handing out tasks. She opens like 6 or 7 shops by the end of the novel. There is a hint of romance, a main plot that is not fully completed by the end and a lot of intriguing characters and sub-stories.... more>> Never once was I bored while reading this.

100000% recommend. Now let me wallow in the corner over the unfinished ending. <<less

This one is really scratching an itch for me. I'm absolutely addicted, 10/10 with the Ichigoeater seal of approval.

I'm not sure what to classify this one under. It's almost an isekai/quick transmigration combo, but she can bounce between all the worlds she unlocked as well as her own world as she pleases. It's more like Kingdom Hearts, I guess? In that game, Sora does have a set order he has to unlock the Disney worlds in, and once he completes his task in that world, the next one unlocks, but... more>> he can go to any previously unlocked worlds whenever. It's kind of nice this way, because the bonds and achievements made in previous worlds aren't lost, unlike in many quick transmigration stories, where the author doesn't even bother giving denizens of the different worlds real personalities, since it won't matter by the next arc.

If there's a problem, it's that there's so many characters, and long periods of time between them showing up again, given the nature of the story, so it takes me a bit to remember who is who. Also, while it's updating very well right now, I'm a forgetful person, so this spoiler bit is a refresher for me down the line.

Spoiler

the first world was horror themed, with all the denizens being undead. They are bored, and Luo Yao's snack shop makes them feel alive again. Side note, they work as NPCs in one of those typical death games just to liven things up. They ended up being more concerned with robbing players' money than torturing them when its revealed that the time they pay Luo Yao with doesn't help her buy ingredients.

The second world, where she opens a nail salon, is a western fantasy with dragons, fairies, necromancers (though I think they meant liches), slimes and demons. It is a bit of plot armor that she enters a world that can teach her magic on her second try, but whatever. She makes friends with all the different races through the power of nail magic.

The third world was post apocalyptic, with mutated plants and beasts (no zombies, though) and extreme weather conditions. She opens a blind box store, essentially a gacha game, but since its 20 years into the apocalypse, everything is technically a winner.

The fourth world was underwater. She opened a cat café. Then she expanded and made an underwater park with cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, and mystical seals that can turn human on land. Her customers were humans that turned into fish due to depression. Something about them feeling like they were drowning in their day-to-day life brought them there.

The 5th world, and the one I'm currently on is an alternate ancient China. She opened a cinema so the ancient denizens can broaden their horizons.

[collapse]

Anyway, it's fun to read. There's also a potential male lead, but it's too soon to say. <<less

Will probably edit this later when more chapters come out, but this has been pretty entertaining so far.

The first world has a lot of focus on detailed food descriptions, and there’s some world building too. It’s pretty slice of life and relaxing to read. The staff members she hires are pretty cute too.

It is quite a fun to read. I never venture to chinese novels but I like this one. Girl in exceptionally adept in every situation. She literally can do anything lol. She can cook, be a psychologist, meditator, nail tech, well overall a very successful business woman lol. Although the success part is kinda questionable bcs the money got drained so fast to the point she's losing money instead hahaha. Much as I love it, I dunno how the story will progress from vol 2 as vol 1 kinda just... more>> abt MC growing her shops. There are indeed some mysteries strewn along vol 1 but so far we only got so little clue and that's not enough to kept me hooked. Another thing I found kinda ruins my experience when reading is that everytime we jump to another world almost every character from the previous world become unimportant. So you got to know a lot of side character but the majority of them won't even be mentioned again after we moved on to the next world. Like, well, not really a problem but me personally kinda invested in their stories and seeing them gone into the oblivion feels like a wasted potential. So yeah, side chara is many and best not to get attached with their stories. <<less

Quite good read and highly recommended.

The MC is a blast, she's chill most of the time and always has a ball or 100 in the air. She's ultra kind to her subordinates and it's not often we get to read about a OP Boss MC who willingly takes care of even cannonfodder subordinates despite her circumstances.

I like alot of the characters too, exept the red eyes silver haired entity but that might be because I read most of his parts sleep deprived. I have a feeling we'll know more about... more>> him later.

My favourite part is the fantasy world where she meets harold and co. But all the archs is pretty good.

The story isn't perfect, there's some contradictions and the authortranslator forgets some rule heshe sets but it's not really anything important tbh.

All in all, yea must read. <<less

The novel is about a girl who seems to have lost her memories and ends up being connected to a wish-fulfilling system. At first, it might sound like a story you've heard before, but it really stands out with how it’s told. The pacing is just right things happen at a steady pace, and it never feels too slow or too fast.

What I enjoyed the most were the slice of life parts. I’m a big sucker of it. Those peaceful scenes made me feel connected to the characters and gave... more>> the story a warm, comforting feeling.

What a journey! Big thanks to the translator, Thingyan. You did a great job bringing this novel to life. I really appreciate all your hard work! <<less

MC's pretty chill. Getting thousands of years of life and even getting an immense magical power yet she's not even shaken nor was she affected much (except when she thought she'd really go bankrupt) and doesn't even show much greed

Started and binged up to the latest translated chapter today. It's not a masterpiece or anything but it is a nice relaxing read with an underlying mystery in the background. Don't expect romance, I haven't seen a hint of it yet, but that's fine with me, hence the rating.
