Before dying, the blind beauty Xiangnu accidentally entered an infinite escape world.

He thought he had escaped from death, but never thought that because of his blindness, he was regarded as a consumable cannon fodder, and was stuffed into the world of the god of death, where the clearance rate was almost zero.

In order to survive and restore the light, Xiangnu decided to sell the color and fight, and entangled with the most powerful boss in this game in his intuition.

The boss is also very powerful, and he took the s*ave god to block the killing of the gods and Buddhas, and cleared the legendary world of death.

After clearing the customs, the first thing Xiangnu did was to change his eyes with rich rewards, so that he could see again.

After that, he opened the task panel and prepared to review the first world to accumulate experience for his future tasks.

but found…

In the task list, he is the only clearer in that world.

And on his task panel, the unspeakable contact named with three red exclamation marks is still sending him messages persistently:

“Baby, I’m right outside your door, open the door for me.”

Xiannu: …

If he is the only survivor in the mission, the big guy who took him through the customs and the red exclamation mark waiting for him to open the door outside…what the hell? Who is he?

Copy ghosts: π_π he is the god of death! Is the number one male god of our thousands of worlds!

The spicy chicken player is shameless. If you can’t beat the male god, you will be beautiful and seduce. You should return our male god quickly. woo woo woo

It was a nice read, even though I relied on mtl to finish it. I enjoyed the arcs and chapters until the end of the novel.

What I actually didn't expect was the twist in the fifth arc. I thought it will go just normal and be done with it. So, I'm quite surprised when something was revealed.

Spoiler

Tidbits of Xiangnu's past. Of what happened to him before appearing in the game.

[collapse]

At first, I thought it was a setting in the instance but boy how wrong I am, I'm quickly slapped to the face.

Spoiler

He have a younger brother who killed him to dig out his organs.

His younger brother have cong**ital disease if I remember correctly.

He digged out Xiang Nu's organs to replace his own so he'll be healthy.

Don't worry, Nunu got his revenge.
[collapse]

In the sixth arc is where his past fully unfolded. Of course it's not just about him, there's also other characters that took my attention, especially the bullied girl.
Spoiler

Nunu's past is really tragic, but I liked how the author's writing didn't make me feel sad. It's like saying, "It already passed, no need to grief over those tr*sh." That kind of vibes.

And. I. LOVE.

[collapse]

I can only say it's a very nice ride. I'm actually nervous since the sixth arc have the longest chapters and I'm worried it was dragged out. Fortunately, it didn't happen, the novel is paced well.

My favorite arc would be the first and last arc. I love how cunning Nunu is in the first arc.
Spoiler

I also like how he solved the aftermath. ≫/////<

[collapse]

And I love how Nunu developed over the novel, he really grew up. [Tears_tears_tears]

There's actually another thing I'm surprised about (excluding the twist). THERE'S A SECOND CP! It's so unexpected that I didn't even have time to jump into the ship before they sailed. T~T

I'm still picking up the clues about them and they already left me. QAQ

I also like the male lead of this novel, Yu Su, he's quite vivid in my mind. He's unexpectedly cute. A perfect match for our Nunu.

One thing I'm genuinely confused about is;

Spoiler

When Yu Su proposed to Nunu, he said the ring is in the most romantic place, the place where they first met.

Unexpectedly, it's in Nunu's room when he's still alive.

And I'm like: ? ? ? Did I miss anything? I think I did.
I can't fathom how the place they first met is not in the train in the first arc.
[collapse]

I'll reread this when it's completely translated. Thanks KnoxT for picking it up!~ <<less

I feel like the latter half of the novel really increased the horror themes, for better or worse. Not really sure I'm sold on the pairing, if only because their relationship is too unbalanced and in the first half of the novel, it seemed more like MC was going along with it because ML is too powerful to offend. Plus, MC can't run away from him and clinging to ML is more helpful in clearing dungeons/instances.

It's a happy ending for them, but idk. The last arc was quite long with not as much ML for the most of it, and the focus was on MC's past more than anything else. There just seemed to be a shift in tone about the MC in the latter half and he became much more vicious and arrogant imo.

Maybe others would enjoy it more than I did. <<less

I mtl-ed this up to ch. 37, where they consummated and this is like after MC's 3rd instance. Tbh, I have been feeling that their relationship progress is a little weird: too fast, too sudden. Is this a love at first sight thing? Was there a backstory? The pacing is a little erratic.

Next, the problem/mystery solving seems forced. I mean, after every instance, instead of feeling:

"Oohh, I see! I get it!"

... more>> I was left feeling

"Huh? Just this? What? Eh? Oh."

So, you get what I mean?

And because of this, even if there's a backstory worth exploring for our dear MC and ML, I don't feel the drive to continue reading to find out. At this point, it feels like a chore to read and I'm not keen to continue.

Still, I'm quite interested in what else is there in this story. So, can anyone please dm me the spoilers? 🥺 p/s: This review wasn't written with the intention to discourage people from reading this story, in fact I think it should be given a try. The translations pretty fine. Shout-out to the translator. It's an okay story to pass time. <<less

tdlr: fails at unlimited flow, fails at romance, fails to capitalise on the only unique draw it has going for it, and writing sucks, even if the translation was good.

Not one of my favourite unlimited flows so far. The translation is nigh-unedited, possibly (probably) MTL, and incredibly confusing. MTL has its place, but that place is not in stories with puzzles and problem-solving. I did reread the entire translation three times over, just to make sure it wasn’t my own tiredness tripping me up, but it’s really just that confusing.

The... more>> main draw of the series for me was the premise of monsterization - something introduced in the very first arc. Taskers can choose to augment their abilities by becoming monsterous, and some even choose to integrate into the dungeon instead of continuing on in an eternal survival loop. This idea excited me, as I wondered what path the MC would choose, if he chose to part with his humanity. What conflicts would arise with ex-taskers? How would these abilities affect the solutions in the dungeons?

However, by the end of the third arc, it was obvious that my interest would remain unfulfilled. MC spends his time under the thumb of the ML, clinging to a golden thigh, which at first sounds reasonable. It’s listed in the description, after all. But he doesn’t do ANYTHING. And his great ML, being on the side of the system, doesn’t do much either? They just kind of. Win. By default.
His fellow taskers are forgettable and leave no lasting impression and there is very little conflict. There are no interesting power or abilities, and they don’t add flavour to the world as I had hoped. In addition, if MC *does* choose to monsterise in future, it will likely be something carefully chosen and curated for him, which I feel goes against the best parts of unlimited flow; the balance of planning and making do on the fly. It’s just Unlimited Flow: Nepotism version, and not even in a fun way, like I was promised.

As for the puzzles... I MTL’d ahead a bit further than my progress listed here, just to confirm that this story has some of the worst, most boring dungeons in any unlimited flow I have read thus far (which numbers over 30). The pacing is terrible, the settings are overused garbage and with the meddling of the ML it’s incredibly difficult to get a read on what the standard difficulty even is. I finished some arcs going ‘well, that happened. I still don’t understand the solution, or why anything happened, nor am I convinced the MC actually did ANYTHING, but it happened.’ Which. Is bad, when the entire point of unlimited flow is self-contained horror-style puzzles and survival.

There are some arguments that this is primarily a romance, but I give it a failing mark on that too. The MC feels coerced and held hostage, while also being written as if he was an intelligent manipulator when it’s obvious he’s just in over his head. The ML has no unique personality traits, and is just another all-powerful gong who looks at a totally forgettable person and goes ‘interesting’. You could swap him out with a standard fair toxic ML in any otome novel and it wouldn’t change a thing. I’m not compelled by their chemistry, and I actually spent time thinking it would be more interesting if MC just. Didn’t fall in love with him and did literally anything else. Run away. Stab him in the back. Politely become friends while the ML lines from afar. Anything.

So to conclude: I spent over a year following this story and now I am left sad frustrated and unsatisfied and it’s all my fault for not dropping it sooner. <<less

Note that this is a love novel!! Love story!!

The fact that it involves unlimited flow is just an add on.. honestly don't even count on the infinite flow to make sense, every part that's actually unlimited flow is just 10-30% of the arc, nothing makes sense, the story doesn't focus on that and neither does the side-characters make sense. I honestly read this story for the CP's spicy love, and that's how it probably should be!

I wasn't a fan at first with how the MC is so soft with the... more>> ML (first arc) -- and with the second arc I screened through the infinite flow stuff, finally gaining a little interest in the CP's interaction. After that, it became more and more smooth sailing, although there were some parts that made me go ???? because I wasn't sure what the MC's stance on ML is (does he like it? or is he using the ML?) -- it becomes clear very soon that he does like him alot. Anyways... the ML is very cute, like a dog-type gong... He acts like a cat, but he's very clumsy like a dog...

I actually stopped mtl at 46. Mtl is readable but some details are missing. It's better waiting for translated one so I can understand in detailed. What I like
Spoiler

MC personality. He's cunning and smart but also weak. First arc (i suppose) he's still blind person. So he stick to ML but help thinking the route and possible way to win.

The role of tasker n monster. Its kinda new I assume. Some monster not born innately. Human transform to monster choose to either assimilate into dungeon or continue being tasker

Our ML-nim. He looks cold n overbearing (he is) but somtimes shy. Blush easily provoke by MC. Actually the fall in love quite sudden but maybe they compliment each other.

The dungeon also interest me. But I mtl so some difficult to understand. Each have like movie sequel. So it doesn't stop at one dungeon.

[collapse]

What I don't really like or discomfort with

Spoiler

The dungeon shortness. I know that they have sequel but they're too short. The solution smtimes absurd or sudden.

Attitude. The tasker too coward and monster too arrogant. Bah! Not too much of braver tasker. They're more like in 'kind' site ppl. That's why MC seems reckless. But he actually just being brave (smtimes he actually acting reckless). The monster have restrictions but they seems wild to me. Maybe I read more I'll change my mind

[collapse]

I rate it about 4.6 until where I stopped. Its fun and interesting read for me! So a must read!
