4/10 Reading this novel has stirred less emotions in me than watching a hydraulic press video on youtube.

I honestly can't think of any praise for this novel. This rating is just my penny to the author and readers for somehow completing this work.

The is a story in here, there are characters in here, there is a setting. It's just that none of it matters at all because there are no relationships in this novel and, I'm not just talking about romantic ones but even normal ones. Yes, there are some... more>> friendships pre-established at the beginning of the novel but they don't even need to exist because of my next point which is:

The MC treats all interactions with others as transactions. I can deal with an MC that dislikes 'karma', I can also deal with an MC that is lonely but what is the point of the novel if no characters interact with each other on an emotional level to better develop as people.

My last complaint is tied to the last two paragraphs which is, there are no characters that are important except the MC. Which means there are no concurrent side plots to follow (because the MC, therefor the pov will not follow them). Which means theres no reason to care about any character. Which means this is not a novel, this is a stats sheet that levels up every few minutes. Which means i've completely wasted my time reading this. Which means i've lost precious brain cells writing this review.

Don't be like me fellas. Just read that one novel on your reading list you've been holding out for, for years as opposed to this. <<less

It Good, But I am Giving 4 Star. Because till the end I didn't get the history of brother Goose. And MC is like complete forgotten about Brother Goose. Like author is forget to explain Brother Goose, what his divine power, why his light reveal everything. And also story about Black Cave Eating Plant.

honestly. I would have rated this 3/10 just the fact this is a bit better than most translated braindead CN novels out there. 4/10 because Author actually finished it with a lackluster and decent proper ending. Translation quality is also steady and no inconsistency throughout the end. So props to the translator. Way better than the majority of junkfood webnovels.

here's my gripes. There's no relationships that developed. Characters are empty shells except for all antagonists who have the same occurring personality, just with different names, the enemies literally felt like... more>> the same person. Even the MC feels empty as I get confused on his motivation of walking to the path of the strongest. In fact, he has no motivation other than a forced promise and threats (not to him but to his planet) yet these threats are unimportant cause he's strong enough to not die to them.

we get to read MC going through hurdles for a couple of chapters to get this or dropped items yet after some couple chapters it would be forgotten or useless. Reason is the items cannot keep up with his level. He speed runs everything so fast there's no time or point to digest and use his gains.

his Cheat is so OP and random.

MC'S PLOT ARMOR IS THICK AS FVCK. So much much much coincidences happening. As if the world revolved through the MC. I think author just got tired towards later half and stopped wasting braincells. I liked the first half better, where MC is just a background character that reaps small benefits and multiple factions going ham and war against each other. MC would stay away and watch how everything and everyone is their own unlike the later half where it revolves around him.

lastly, the ending was rushed. MC's level sped up and flew across continent. Literally a fighter jet. It was so rushed that even the final fight against the final-final big bad is only a couple of sentences hahaha. also. Wtf happened to brother goose? My guy was completely forgotten towards the end. The swan or duck was the only character I like. <<less

5 star is kinda generous but hey I managed to finish it almost twice so there's that.

Reread after the story was completely translated/uploaded. Overall not the worst work. No pesky romantic subplot to give the MC multiple weaknesses. The MC stays very low key for almost the entirety of the story, think the author just forgets about his real identity once he becomes the martial sage. His cheat was pretty strong but still had many restrictions in the beginning, but once he leaves the Earth the cheat suddenly becomes a... more>> cheap OP hack to speed him up the ranks. The last 30 or so chapters were a complete speed run, but I can appreciate the ending for being a pretty complete conclusion instead of just being chopped off at the end. Not bad. <<less

a very fun and interesting novel about a character exploring the world and having adventures.

the world building and the cultivation system are very good and there are no fillers in the story, and like the other review says: the story is more about the adventure and the MC and less about relationships with people - I myself very enjoyed the read and if what I said resonates with you I would recommend you to try this unique novel
