In a world where life was determined by the [JOB] given by the goddess, Ain, a 15-year-old boy (the main character), was an [Appraiser]. He had no ability other than appraising things.

One day, in a dungeon, he was attacked by a horde of monsters due to his party member’s fault. Ain, who was left alone, falls into the abyss.

There, Ain met the spirit of a special tree, the World Tree, which grow deep underground, and the sage who protected it.

With their help, Ain’s appraisal skill had evolved. He obtained a [God’s Eye] that could see through everything.

Using it, he could clearly see all the movements and weak points of his opponents. He could even copy the attacks and magics his opponents used just by observing.

Acquiring the power, Ain managed to escape from the dungeon and lived a second life.

Oh boy, where do I start?
The story is too shallow, everyone or**sms just from the sight of MC. Though, some just blindly despise MC, they get shut down since they are plot devices anyway. Nothing unexpected from a blatant wish fulfillment story. The author doesn't even hide that, but at the same time, I hope the author gets laid. I suspect he lacks any relationship and tries to absorb himself in fantasies (this story.)

Either way, reading Isekai Smartphone would be a better time spent.

In the first six chapters I've found two aspects of this novel that are notable, one good and one bad:

Good: The protagonist gains his powers in a reasonable way.

His abilities are a gift from a world tree for being the first adventurer she saved who expressed appropriate gratitude and didn't just try to loot her for materials, and to develop those abilities he has to work for them via a grueling training regimen.

[collapse]

Bad: The party that abandons him in the dungeon is implausibly evil. This is the worst part of the abandoned protagonist subgenre. Come on, authors, it's not that hard to make believable villains.

There's nothing wrong with starting off a story by having the protagonist get lost in a dungeon. It's also ok if that happens because the leader of the party he is exploring the dungeon with is a villain of some sort.

But it's not necessary for every single story of this type to start off in the exact same way with the exact same "evil for the sake of being evil" party leader deliberately abandoning the protagonist because he enjoys mu*der, drowning kittens, and kicking puppies.

Edit:

It's time to revise my review now. Looking at the other reviews you'll see a pattern. Originally I rated it as a 4 as of chapter 6, redmonster rated it as a 3 as of chapter 30, and katoumegumi_ rated it as a 2 as of chapter 38.

All of those ratings are accurate. This novel starts off good and quickly degrades into unreadable tr*sh for the reasons mentioned by others. <<less

It was fine, until around chapter 20.. It was going fine as I said, had some decent story even if it was overused but still, the characters were fine besides the mother figure (kinda cringed from her ngl) but then.. Then it happened.

Everything just went downhill with the only positive thing being his newfound goal

He got strong from getting help from one of the world trees right? There are only 9 so its only normal to conseal the information to protect them right? Why does he flex it like he doesnt understand he's OP, cmon man.. He went from a character with decent IQ to a negative IQ one. The worst part is that nobody actually questions his strenght cuz ofc, a tr*sh can not have this power. Then he finds the princess cliche, flexes again acting like he doesnt understand why is everyone shocked from his power or doesnt understand it. Then the main Yuri heroine started showing some traits im not sure I like, first she was introduced as innocent child like figure not knowing the world but then gets jealous outta nowhere, kinda.. Honestly it was ok, light read no pressure just for killing time etc but then this happened and wow, might drop it soon now im at chapter 30, will give it a lil bit more time

The real name for this novel should be The Unfavorable Job [Appraiser] is actually tr*sh but if by a stroke of luck you can get a tree to fall in love with you and give you overpowered eyes then [Appraiser] is an overpowered class...

First of all, it follows the typical trope of weak MC being abused by people who have "strong" classes, and then when danger arises the "allies" sacrifice MC but this book did it incredibly s*upidly... First of all the wolves were eating, not paying attention to them,... more>> and so they used paralyze on him and called the wolves over... They could have just snuck away but nope "come over here wolves there's more prey" and why would they paralyze him, they just mentioned him being slow and weak compared to them so they could just run without him and when the MC tried to save himself by running it would delay the wolves... Anyways s*upid enemies

Then you have him obtaining Spirit Eyes, which is basically just a cheat ability but it's completely unnecessary... The author could have just had the sage teach him that he can find out information about anything so it can be used in this way but instead, his eyes are op and his appraisal just happens to work with it... <<less
