The MC is an absolute ret*rd and would've died many times already if not for his cheat shop.
Spoiler

he took a risk he absolutely didn't need to make and just relied on buying some powerup in his shop to carry his ass. He also wasted one of the said limited powerups on an absolutely ret*rded decision that benefited him in no way whatsoever.

[collapse]

The plot is garbage, cliche and predictable. There's your cliche parent in a hospital with a MC in debt psying for tveir medical bills plot. There's also that one completely forced segment about your generic evil hunter bullying people behind the scenes and every s rank popping out when the MC attempts to kill said bully. The only thing that truly pissed me off is how pathetically and braindead a main antagonist just died.
Spoiler

WOW THE KING THAT WAGED WAR ON THE ENTIRE CONTINENT WAS EVIL ALL ALONG WHAT A PLOT TWIST! He's also shown to be generically evil so you feel good when he gets btfo in a few chapters. He f*cking died after getting weakened by poison jesus f*cking christ he was a king and a so called unparalleled genius at that poison attempts must've been completely normal

[collapse]

The worldbuilding is also generic. Its your generic dimensional cracks setting you've always seen with superhuman hunters being paid pennies for life-threatening monster hunting work. Not even the hurrdurr ancient civilization sh*t can make it interesting when even said civilization wasn't even fleshed out in the first place except for the fact that they exist and they were really powerful. Hell, even the powers aren't explained in detail. The only thing you actually k ow is that some energy called karma exists and you can do cool sh*t with it and bullets don't work at higher stages. No explanation on how magic works or what it even is it just does.

Also the recent chapters just infodumped one of the most ret*rded ways to set up a big bad ever holy f*ck even when it was painfully obvious who the said big bad is since the beginning.

This is painfully average at best and f*cking garbage at worst.

A standard korean novel with Kingdom building and an indecisive, emotional, naive and dumb MC.

When I started the novel I had some expectations. Sure, the MC was still tr*sh at the beginning but I had expectations about the character development but nah he grew even more s*upid.

The MC reveals his speciality by ch 60 and it was at that moment I decided that I can't tolerate it anymore. Seriously the MC has a whole race to save and he's that s*upid and the worst part is that it will work... more>> out for him somehow.

Everything in the novel is decent expect for the MC and the story development. Dropping it <<less

world building isn't the most intricate, character personalities aren't the most interesting, and the story itself can be considered quite cliche. However, although it might be because I have a thing for kingdom building, I found the overall experience to be terribly enjoyable. Definitely not a masterpiece by any means, but I could easily recommend it to my fellow fans of the "game element" tag (and perhaps the "army building" and "kingdom building" tags).

The MC is an idiot and the author isn't much better.

Spoiler

Why doesn't the MC try using the potions from the shop to cure his mom?

MC literally have an army of 300+ men, but he only fights with his 6 elite. He knows he has to fight whatever is beyond the fog, yet all he does is basic drill for them vs. Actual combat experience? Also, he leaves his 2nd best fighter as a drill instructor vs. Helping her get stronger?

Pretty good start, only 8 chapters in. The MC is kind of on the garbage side; a very normal person. Not terribly altruistic or intelligent. I like this kind of character. Just a basically regular guy struggling to make ends meet in a dangerous situation, and then BOOM he gets a goblin workshop inside him! Spoilers, I know. Now he's gotta figure out how to use it to make some money.

Novel is moderately funny with some action, we'll see how it goes. Some small errors that editing missed, but good... more>> translation over all. <<less

A horribly written novel.

First, the characters are actually ok. The MC isn't anything special, the other side characters are alright too.

Most of the bad points in this novel comes from the generic setting, bad writing style, horrible plot, and plot holes.

... more>> The MC literally owns a whole goblin civilization, and he also summons his goblins for war. Yet no goblins ever died during his campaign, which makes absolutely no god*mn sense.

The author also forced characters to develop a relationship too much.

There's also this sentence when a woman (I forgot her name) comment on the mc's reaction speed. This is what she said, "Those reactions speed are not from skills, but from experience." Bro, experience? What experience? The MC literally learned his fighting style from reading a book and drinking potions lmao.

There's also the part where the goblin king got killed by being poisoned. Which makes absolutely no sense because the goblin king is literally so powerful he can one-shot the MC.

The translation is also wacky af.

Honestly, there's just so many plot holes I can't even continue reading it anymore. The first part is alright, but the plot holes just started getting more and more ridiculous down the chapters. <<less

A really promising novel, it has a history similar to Solo leveling and other Korean novels, the novel takes place in the modern world where portals/cracks that take you to a different realm filled with monster exist and humans (hunters) develop super powers to fight back.

This type of novels isn’t anything new, but this one is really well made and has a really well made “build a kingdom” subplot.

Wow, it's good.

Sometimes MC can be a little s*upid for the progression of the story but that's okay.

Has a little bit slightly different approach from other novel and the goal is different from other MC (other mc's goal often is either being the best of the best or the strongest of all)

Rather good like most KR stuff on the site, similar to many other KR novels with modern day dungeons/hunters/guilds etc where protagonists starts weak and stumbles upon a situation that makes them strong. Good character development and pacing imo and the translation felt perfect to me.

First time I actually write a review.

Anyway, I have to admit that the MC can be a little frustrating at times over s*upidity or lack of seeing further opportunities with what he has been given... but at the same time I have to appreciate a character that actually has a growing personality throughout the storyline. Sadly the s*upidity angle is still there at times, but the character has definitely grown from the first chapter.

Also impressive world building and it's definitely developing quite the ambitious storyline right now... hope it manages... more>> to deliver. This is in relation to the fact that I honestly did dislike the side plot for quite so many chapters now... but the author has finally managed to turn it into something far deeper and interesting in my eyes... let's see how it goes in future chapters. <<less
