Love the novel and KK's translation is great. It was a good ride and thw characters all have depth. Not just put in there. They all have their own story. It's good.

Or it says they started kissing and you have to guess what happens afterwards. It is the same about their conversations as well. How they fall in love is very very concise. It had the potential, a lot of potential. But not much is written.

The first few arcs are really fun, but I started to get bored after the plague themed arc (which did have a nice climax). I feel like this always happens to me in infinite flow novels. In this one I like the dynamic between the MC and ML a ton (also how they pretty much had a past history that is unraveled later on), but they also feel so OP once they straightened things out between each other. At first I liked how the MC was more so on his own and had an attitude, those arcs when the MC wasn't completely on his side, because it felt like he had to work harder to survive.

Moreover, I can't really remember any of the side characters which makes me think they weren't annoying per say, but not that memorable.

I think I want to try going through it again some day and see if I can read until the end--considering it's hard to find even decent horror themed BL where the MC and ML can both pull their own weight. <<less

From the very first chapter this novel hooked me from its mysterious vibes. Sometimes the story looks mysterious, sometimes horror, sometimes so much action, in other words this novel is one that contains all those intriguing stuff. When started, I'm sorry you won't be able to stop cause this is so addicting. The plot is just perfect. Nothing to complain about.

The characters in this book, touch all the heartstrings. Sometimes laughed clutching my stomach, while sometimes it made my eyes blind from tears. Sometimes I was cursing madly, sometimes I died from curiosity. It is not wrong to say that book is an emotional rollercoaster. This is mainly due to the relationship between the two protagonists and all the supporting characters' participation.

All in all, what I have to say is, this book is a must read book. And if you're still wondering whether to read or not, then I suggest you, just read and you'll never regret your decision. <<less

This was one of the earliest danmei novels I ever read, and it holds such a dear place in my heart <3

I'm not gonna write a long review since it was a long time since I read it, but it wouldn't feel right to just leave it without a review.

I absolutely adored everything about this story. The characters were all engaging and fleshed out. From start to finish I was captured by the author and their story.

The best thing about this novel is probably the dynamics between the MC and ML. Two outstanding men who can't help but constantly try to best, gradually become drawn to, then ultimately willing to give themselves up for the other.

The system concept here is also fairly unique.

I was reluctant to pick this up initially because I thought it would be a bit too heavy but it was surprisingly quite light, filled with humour and face-slapping the system. Really loved all the side characters too.

I actually prefer it this way, (why read mystery if you'd like to be force-fed extensive explanations for everything?) the whole scenario that's veiled in mystery kept me scrolling. I binged in 5 days (would've been 3 if I had nothing to do).

I'd only read two of Musuli's novels: Panguan, that's perfection in itself and Moumou, it's also great, but I got slightly disappointed, so I didn't knew it if QQGK would be of my like, thanks Gods and Musuli that it was. Actually, this novel right here exceeded all the expectations that I had towards it. Since chapter one, I was bewitched by the story and the unique way of write, be aware: it's well- written from beginning to end, SO PERFECT.
As I said, the story is amazing and completely different from anything I've ever read before. The characters are unforgettable, they're so detailed that's impossible to forget or confuse them with one another because they're uniquely human, every emotion and characteristic define who they are, it's so incredible. See? I can't even express properly how good QQGK actually is, it's beyond me, so I'll make a long short story: try it! Okay, there's a minimal chance you don't like it, but can't believe someone wouldn't like it after reading it and specially after meeting with Jiuhuo but in any case it's up to you.

There was one constant thing on my mind throughout the whole novel: so well-written. Probably one of the few stories where every. single. character. has depth and a sense of "being a real human." It surprises me because I can remember each one of them distinctly.

The comedy is top-notch and the wit of some dialogues caught me off-guard. Pretty humorous for an action/horror novel. Speaking of which, dang did the author not hold back on describing some scenes. They're not graphic but still take care while reading.

On the topic of... more>> romance... I don't want to talk about it – I'll just end up crying. Rest assured, it's a happy ending, but thinking about the things MC and ML went through, my heart could only ache. Be cautious, the author is a pro in writing yearning; I got critically hit many times. Even so, considerable amounts of fluff and tension (and s*xual innuendos wink wink) are still sprinkled here and there; you're eating full before you know it.

As for the plot, it switches between predictible and unpredictable at times. Though it's not unique, it is still very much incredible. The world-building could use a little bit more of detail, but eh, the strongest point of this novel was its two main characters and their staggering one-liners, and it sold them very well.

I highly recommend this one!! There is so much mystery and so many moments where it just leaves me in awe.

This novel is truly one of a kind. The mystery behind both of their amnesia and the exams they have to partake in kept me in my toes throughout this novel. The mystery truly highlights what a gem this novel is as it shows many clever moments and laughable scenarios haha

The ML is so gentle, considerate and full of doting for the MC. The ML is arrogant and can be aggressive. But he turns gentle and loving to the MC. And the MC is possessive and may look cold-looking, but is so soft inside. Seeing them slowly open up to each other makes the romance in this novel one of a kind. I’d say it one of the best I’ve read!

Binge read this 😭😭 Literally set aside my school works just to finish reading this masterpiece 🥺❤️ Fortunately, the deadlines are still next year.

This is a story I can see myself rereading.

I give this an overall score of 5/5. The characters are so interesting and even the side characters left an impression in me, and moved me to tears too.

The MC is calm, knowledgeable, and skilled. He's described as stoic and with face paralysis but that doesn't mean he doesn't care. He isn't vocal with his affections for ML but... more>> he shows it through his actions and gestures. It's not a one-sided show of love which is really nice since usually in CN Novels the shous are always the one being pampered. He also takes care of his people (the ones he took under his wing).

ML is not an abusive bastard. He's the same type as MC but also, opposite because he doesn't have face paralysis LOL. He's mischievous and flirty as f*ck. He's good with his words and really great at making sure MC doesn't carry the whole problem. They have great tacit understanding!

The side characters are really great too. There's no characters just for the laugh nor is there any character just to attract trouble. Every character has a purpose and personality that even with me being unfamiliar with CN names can remember them. NGL, Yu Wen and Di Li are my favorites.

Plot is 5/5 too. Actually, I didn't want to read this because the story had the "survival of the fittest" them and it really was like that. However, it wasn't dreary, morbid nor gloomy like other stories in the same theme. I think ORV is even more morbid than this.

I really liked the mood of the story; mellow and sad. Also, the s*x scenes are not explicit which was nice too, it fits it.

Basically, it's about being trapped in a system that goes out of control. The examinee needs to pass successfully in order to leave the system. There are no true and wrong answers since the questions generated by the system are also ridiculous and intended to make the examinee fail. Most of the examination settings actually feel like tests for mental fortitude. The system challenges how the examinee solved that problem.

Please do not expect the exam work to be like what it is in reality. Since it's a work of fiction, why bother? I say, Qin Jiu is the most romantic ML that I've encountered so far. This remark of his is one of my favourite parts of the novel.
