Its not great but it isnt that bad either... maybe

So we get a MC who receives a system, giving him different skills, which he has to use to become popular in a profession the skills are related to. Nothing too crazy.

What I loved about this novel was how MC didnt instantly get the pinnacle of the profession, but rather the skills were either time limited, or just partial, and he had to make the best use of it to gain more popularity, gain more points and get more skills.

But as... more>> I kept reading I got increasingly annoyed and bored by the flow of events.

As example heres the summary of 1st arc.

Spoiler

Hey, the MC beat a popular guy, everyone is amazed, wondering who the MC is.

Oh wait, turned out that popular guy who everyone hyped about is just an amateur, nothing special. There is no way MC is gonna beat the super popular guy that popped up. The other guy must have been tr*sh.

Omg MC beat the super popular guy, how is that possible. Everyone is amazed, wondering who the MC is.

Oh wait, turns out the super popular guy was just a nobody, top amateur at best. He must be tr*sh. But there is no way MC can beat the super arrogant and super tuper mega popular professional that popped up.

OMG MC beat the super tuper mega popular professional, how is that possible. Everyone is amazed, wondering who the MC is.

Oh wait, that guy was just a professional, he is a nobody compared to the super ultra mega popular top unbeatable legend that decided to challenge MC. 100% no way MC will even come close to beating that guy.

OMG MC beat the super mega top legend, how is that possible. Everyone is amazed, wondering who the MC is.

The end.

[collapse]

It just felt so stretched out, reading pretty much the same event over and over, with little to no change to the layout. It felt like the author could have ventured further than just 1 event, repeated until he reached his goal. <<less

Somewhat entertaining. I'm a sucker for modern-day system novels; I enjoy reading about MCs gaining skills and fame. This one isn't terrible, but nothing special either.

The first arc is a bit of an Initial D rip-off (I mean, anything with mountain racing will have similarities, but this was more than just similar...)

I'm not a huge fan of the main character having a naggy mother setting him up on blind dates either.

But the story does look like it has some potential, I would be interested in reading what comes next.

The system is like a mix between those from A Valiant Life and I'm Really A Superstar. Overall goal is to become the top in every profession in the world, but it seems reachable given the broken skills the system seems to give out.

Unfortunately, the main character is an insufferable moron. His first task is to become the best taxi driver, literally seconds later he gets the skill "Possession of the Vehicle God", his immediate reaction is "How could this help me be the best driver?". One of the traits... more>> of the system is to gain popularity points, later, some reporters ask him about a certain matter, he just goes through the motions, then sees his popularity rise, his reaction? "Wait, people knowing about things I've done raises my popularity?"

He has the intelligence level of a rotting pile of wood. Points off for the site being unreadable on mobile, pop-up ads taking up a quarter of the screen and frequent redirects to scam websites ruin the experience, you're gonna want an adblocker to read this one. <<less
