Young master Shao is three parts OCD, three parts shameless and four parts cheap but in front of outsiders, he is always distant and carefree, he stood aloof from the world. In his proud and aloofness is indifference, in his indifference is detachment and in his detachment is elegance.

It’s just that after he returned home, he would enter into his ‘high’ mode–

“Shower, shower, shower. Qing Xi, do you want to come and ravage me ah?”

Qing Xi always thought, can this person be any more vulgar?

Or else it was– “Wife, hurry up and cook for me, it’s a legal requirement ah!”

“Woman, let’s watch a movie tonight, it’s a legal requirement oh!”

“Qing Xi, that, let’s eat! It’s a marriage legal legal legal requirement oh!”

Every time, ‘student’ Qing Xi could not restrain from an urge to illegally dispose of him.

What is happiness, happiness is 13 years ago, every time primary school ended, there would be a boy running in front of you to walk in a ‘S’ shape. 13 years later, it is still this same man that holds you in his arms, vulgarly telling you, “my youth was consumed by you, you must, must take responsibility for me ah!”

What a fun read! Yesterday I just finished reading a long and tragic romance that ripped my heart out so this was a lovely and healing change of pace.

I love how believable and true-to-life everything is (which I think owes to the work actually being semi-autobiographical), from the stuff about the University of Oxford to the YY-ing with friends...

My favorite part of the story was the way the male lead and the female lead started out being proficient in humanities and sciences respectively, but when the male lead chose the... more>> sciences in hopes of being in the same stream as his love, and somehow the female lead muddles her way into the humanities instead, they end up growing into people who work in those fields (with the male lead going into military research and the female lead going into the arts). In that way they shaped each other into the people they are by the end of the story. <<less

There isn't much of a story but it's nice to read when you have nothing to read.

I love it! Thank you for translating this novel.

The story on this novel is told from the female protagonist, Gu Qing Xi, first person point of view.

I usually avoid reading a story that's told from first person point of view. But I don't regret reading this story. What a fluff love story it is! :) I love how the author not only told us, the readers, about Gu Qing Xi's marriage days with her husband, Xu Wei Yu, but also give us flashbacks how their relationships evolved since their childhood... more>> time.

Spoiler

Warning! Spoiler!

.

Gu Qing Xi is really lucky to have Xu Wei Yu as her husband. He's such a devoted husband and absolutely adore her. He has been wooing her since their elementary school! Even when they're married, he always asks for her approval when he's going to do things. You rarely see such loyal man like that nowadays.

[collapse]

The author is nice enough to give people around Gu Qing Xi and Xu Wei Yu their own stories and unique characters.

Basically, this novel is not just focus on the relationship of the protagonists, but also their relationship with people around them. It makes the story in this novel looks more real and closer to reality. <<less

Really, truly very beautifully written with a touch of humor. Simple yet the characters, their feelings and relationships shine through. What you would expect from a slice of life masterpiece.

I love this so much! It doesn't really have a plot, but it shows the details of a relationship that spanned from elementary to their marriage days. It's a hilarious read! I think I've guffawed in absolutely every chapter! I think this was based on the authors life, so you can imagine how lucky she is :)

A very fun/light read of the author's autobiography{?} on her relationship/family and the interactions that happen with those close to them. This and 'I don't like this world, I only like you' are a great change of pace from the norm you usually see on here.

Combined stories about different members of the family, school/college/high school life. This novel isn’t mainly focused on the relationship of the couple, more like their life and the people around them. Very funny novel, definitely something to read when you’re bored.
