very short read but worth it. The main character is adaptable, it explained why he was so and there was not much confusion. All in all, very satisfying.",)

Very beautiful story. I love the MC, he had already experienced life and here he is living another one. Which was just not really great but it's not like he can actually stop living his new one? Anyway, it's fun reading his point of view of not giving a f*ck against the world anymore. He's just gonna try living the best way he can without causing conflict against the people around him or even their views. If he found something wrong, he suggested or pointed things out that doesn't actually... more>> contradict against other's views. He made it seem like the MC's pure too haha. Which I think is savage in my own opinion. I love the ending too, it was stated in ML's PoV that the MC doesn't really like him. And I thank that actually happened. It just shows that no matter how the MC go and live with the flow of his new life, doesn't mean his heart will do too. And ML see it and make sure to make up to it. Just not sure if the MC actually did fall for the ML in the end? I've read this a long time ago and that tidbit, I forgot haha. Probably due to the reason that I don't want the MC fall. Anyway, this is a good read compare to a lot schemes in this kind of stories that I've read before. Not that I hate that kind of stuff, I just like the difference it have. Make me sigh in envy too. Haha. Mostly, it gave me peace of mind while reading. Great story. Hope to see this in a drama. Even a short one. <<less

Short. Non-fussy. Day-in-the-life-of events story telling of an aromantic man who transmigrated into the body of a girl. It is certainly different from majority of this genre but it has never paraded as a romance genre so I don't really understand what people are griping about with regards to romance. This is a story told from the perspective of a very logical kind of person without too much emotional attachment to things-- one who is rather apathetic. It's a pretty quick read so it's nice for a change from all... more>> the 100+ to 2000+ chapters you find with many, many novels on here.

The only dissatisfaction I have with this is how his being bis*xual was just thrown in there as a plot explanation in a way that somewhat felt dismissive. I can't analyze much here because I'm not one, but it just felt off to me (and I welcome corrections from those who are on this impression) -- not on a level that's offensive, I feel, but just off. <<less

This novel is great. The story is peaceful without much conflicts and dramas. And you don't have to worry about MC at all.

It's just perfect if you have gotten tired of reading those dog blood dramas....

It's a good short, lighthearted, and slice of life novel to pass the time.

It really started with a former player then married working man (MC) who suddenly transmigrated back in history in a female child's body. Through it, we would see how the MC lived her life (more like vacation mode lol).

The story felt like we're an audience in the mc's audience life. Instead of those 1x1; heavy plot; goal-oriented; op mc; nosy and brilliant mc; or romantic bg novels, we get an MC that preferred to stay lowkey and... more>> adapt to his/her new world. It's interesting and slightly more unique in a sense that we get to see the world and story in a person that preferred to adapt in that place and instead of all being extra or trying hard to make sense (she just prefers to have a good future and not try to make anyone feel wary of her (living her kid days as a kid), even trying to learn their backward way-of-life just to adapt). Some stories just couldn't with trying to forcefully inject matriarchy in a dominated patriarchal focused environment especially in the past (the setting). Here, we slightly get to see the literal status of various women (di, shu, mother, commoner, young lady, children, etc.) and how some words in the novel are noteworthy to jot down. One thing that also probably helped is how the MC understands both parties (male and female) because he lived both. Also because he was also once a stud lol. Additionally, the MC is intelligent and once again, tries to live life like in vacation mode (always happy and full of vitality), which makes others feel like the MC is magnanimous and doesn't force herself to do actions in such a complicated and challenging era.

Some things that left me wondering and some, feeling:
Spoiler

1. I wanted to see more of the mc's maternal fam (then again, the story is focused on her married life and narrowed that way. Too much info might get the story broader) ; 2. I'm always looking forward to the mc's interaction with her children (especially the treasure box parts that made me sigh in adorable-ness) ; 3. With a guy's soul residing in the MC, we really get to see a somewhat fresh take of an MC living in ancient times and interacting with her husband's family including his love affairs, especially so that she/he didn't give their soul easily to the ML but still met their s*xual needs lmao (slightly shook that she easily conceives, and that celery contraceptive home remedy lol) ; 4. The ml's growth - MC got more understandable feelings towards ml's actions of mucking around due to his age and prolly bec he also experienced those, from a happy-go-lucky naive and playboy second son to a more hardworking and seasoned husband (I felt slightly like a mom fan watching my son grow up lol (like he chose to start as county magistrate and work his way up). Especially that I feel he is better than some males in that period. I like his non-cliche personality and the way he knows his standing that he asks the MC for guidance at times. I also like how unlike other ml's, he isn't totally obsessed with the MC where he also gets jealous towards his children) ; 5. The way near the end, where the monarch has decided his actions towards the power of the aristocrats by inventing that system of his (I'm somewhat happy the kids are taking the tests and not rely on their family background) ; 6. I'm happy that although they're already rich, it doesn't stop the MC from increasing her riches through buying land deeds, and also, although they are rich, it didn't stop her from guiding her husband and kids to lead a more independent life and to see through life in a more broader view (also how she doesn't force them in their career paths/things they're not interested in but let them explore) ; 7. Besides being in a female's body, it didn't stop her from still having men tendencies till the end lol (She doesn't know how women still think and prefer sons because she would know how to raise them, she also dresses her people in good clothes and she really knows how to appreciate beauty and not mind when others ogle at them (even when she became a superior old Tai Tai, she still walked around with beauties everywhere)) ; 8. The story is quick and not stretched and it's also not heavy (at first though, there's a lot of names to know (ty to the translator for helping lots) and the pacing for time skips we're huge for each chapter like we're viewing the pacing of her life slightly fast (anyways, with such a story, even the conflicts ain't that heavy nor stretched out that it really feels like a light read but still an enjoyable one. I slightly feel for concubine fang (she focused too much on love though, maybe she's a better fit for a different era. I'm also feeling for the sis-in-law for being the slightly typical main wife in that era lol) ; and many more others that I couldn't remember nor write as of the moment anymore (I'll stop making this long).

[collapse]

Towards the end, it felt slightly abrupt since there wasn't much buildup to prepare us for it with the example of conclusive narration. We just get a scant gloss over on how the MC ages and the end, and how the ML instead of getting a 7-year itch, got more lovey-dovey towards the MC. I actually wanted to know the ending/continuation of other characters like the mc's children - they looked so filial to the MC (compared to the ml) and the way they were brought up was good and mc-controlled. All the children really looked lovable, I'll miss them. I'm glad there were no leftover strings that needed to be solved and everything felt okay in the end
Spoiler

(getting an alliance with sister in law and driving out that cousin concubine, then the ML having growth)

[collapse]
. I wonder if the MC has grown more fond of the ML in the end lol. I'm really glad to be able to read this fresh novel, even if it's slightly fast-paced and short (some words/explanations/actions in it are really noteworthy). <<less

The novel is refreshing, kind of like a diary as it is also written in first POV. Now, I dont read non romance novel but in this, I'm really glad it isn't romance. The ML is fickle and sways where the beauty is. Also does he have hero complex? Like, he just wants to take responsibility for every girl he sees. I share Lan Zhi's sentiments on the last chapter. MC is also very cool.

A cool novel and a cool MC.

But because it's a diary like novel- there's no fluff.... more>> Just the life of MC with a fickle ML.

This is officially my how-to-survive-the-ancient-times guide. Haha.

The MC is super level-headed. If I do get transmigrated, I would try and remember what this MC did to make sure I survive and live a happy life. LOL.

This was a good novel for readers who needs a break from angty novels as this was a light and relaxing story of a man who was transmigrated into the body of a aristocratic female.

It was a refreshing change from the typical transmigration because this time, the MC do not have any cheat.
Because he was a pragmatic adult male with a young family in his previous life, he was practical and understood the best way to live a happy and good life was to obtain the necessary skills, even accepting of his fate to be married into another aristocratic family who would have several concubines. After all he was a man and he understood and as it was the norm of the time to have several women (wives/concubines) around.

It seem that things seem to work out for our MC easily because he was man and that he was condescending to the other drama queens because he was a modern male with knowledge and self-assurance, in a way this is true, however the MC used his intellect and rationality to bypass the challenges thrown his/her way, it wasn't just because of dumb luck. And I was glad that the MC didn't just became another brainless and helplessly in love after marriage, he stayed true to his original character. I am really sick of reading of how MCs just suddenly became imperioused zombies when they're with the ML, especially after marriage!

I just wish it were longer, I want to know how well the ML have progressed in his career and what happened to their kids.

This isn't your typical transmigration lovey dovey novel, the romance is very lacking here. However it is a great lighthearted book to read when you're sick of heavy angsty novels.
