Fun!

Throwing in a real description of what this is because I just saw there isn't anything of substance.

My description: After being summoned for over 10 years, Friedé finally defeats the demon King and co. She returns to earth with a boatload of cash and all (?) their powers, and learn there are now full immersion VR games. They (eventually) decide to become a streamer with their skills for the fun of it.

Don't believe the 1 star ratings for this one. Fight scenes are done pretty well! I'd recommended giving it... more>> a bit of time for new chapters though.

The MC is a self admitted attention who*e and it's great! She's a fun character, and I like how blatant she is in her motivations.

As of chapter 18 it ends on an annoying cliffhanger, so give it 3 chapters (based on chapter names) before reading. If you want to wait for this to be far enough to fully establish itself, it looks like the important character reveals happen on chapter 25-26.

I won't tell you this is God's gift to light novels, but I can truly say that this is a very fun, if uncomplicated so far read.

Edit: Live editing while reading the fight I got caught on a cliffhanger on. In simple terms, holy sh*t that went hard as f*ck. Damn that was cool!

The moment when it's said 5 minutes of fighting has past and then
Spoiler

The GM says they've been smirking, and have had 100% HP the entire time

Goes so undeniably hard.

Edit 2: Actually finished reading now, and I think this is now, without a doubt, really good! The character relationships, (limited as they may be currently) are really nice. I whole heartedly recommend this, and am interested in where it goes.

The way fighting is described is detailed enough to paint a good picture of the situation, as well as being intrinsically funny (and cool!) <<less

The first review, Genre Exauster, already had me reading the novel when they said the MC was an attention whore, and they're absolutely correct! I thought it was going to be excessive, but no, the MC is totally relatable and it's a great aspect for a streamer and concept-freak like Friede to have (discounting she was a former hero and just used her persona and skills).

HIGH HIGHLY RECOMMEND, it doesn't get dull and the relationships between the MC and other characters ... more>>

(other heroes mostly, I didn't understand the 'for the hero' part of the summary, but there are other people that were sent to other worlds. One of them got lazy and the weakened Demon King from that world even slipped through.

To me it's honestly just okay.

OP MC, likes attention, plays video games and streams most of the time.

The women she encounters ends up liking her. Issue is, the MC doesn't even want to be in a relationship.

Yeah plot is still pretty gay but at this point it's just Shoujo ai.

Good casual read but I lose motivation to read this often.

This novel has really great moments and really subvert expectations, but it does have one really annoying character that doesn't seem to be going away any time soon.

One of the characters, also a Hero, has a mascot-type companion who is a green frog. Sound familiar? Yup, its Pepe, and he acts like his namesake too. His behavior is absolutely disgusting and totally ruins the vibes of every scene he's in. Like, his nickname for his companion is "Dayoung Gay" and "bit*h Sehee" for the main character, and recently he ruined... more>> a rather touching moment with his dumb comments.

It's weird that the author can write such a realistic-but-likeable attention-seeking main character, supporting characters, but then spoil it all with Pepe like a drop of black paint in a bucket of white.

In terms of Yuri, the supporting characters have shown some level of interest in Sehee, as well as a confession at one point, but Sehee is a self-proclaimed aromantic, so people reading for romance beware. I wouldn't mind reading about one-sided crushes on aro characters, but as mentioned before, the frog ruins scenes. <<less
