I almost want to give this a 1.

Too many brain dead antagonists. They are so s*upid that I wonder how they even got to the point they can attack the FL. This by itself lowers the rating by 2. This novel basically calls women as man hungry wolves where the iq drops into the negatives. This is the feeling I get so I can understand the amount of 1s here.

As for the ML, I cannot like the ML at all.

The ML has 0 consequences for his actions. No angst. No crying rivers holding his heart for his horrible handling of the FL. He just uses the kid to take FL back. The other characters who made similar mistakes are totally grilled and put down. ML - he gets what he wants and the FL is the only one who suffers. I literally had to skip the ML and FL interactions. Tr*sh ML redeemed through FL only suffering.

After writing the spoiler, this does seem like more of a ML MC instead of the FL MC. Hmm, really pushing me more toward a 1.

FL is more reasonable here. She is not super women like Ning Xi. Her reasoning and working flow well through out the story except when it comes to the ML. It seems FL drops IQ like the other women here. Again I want to drop the rating to 1.

The only redeeming part is the FL so I will leave a 2 instead of a 1.

If you want to read about brain dead women, worthless ML, and a reasonable smart non Mary Sue FL, this is the novel for you. <<less

One of the better face-slapping Chinese Novel nowadays. For those familiar with the stories, the FL is kinda of a mix between Tanning and Ningxi. Strong female lead that doesn't rely on the husband (in this case, ex) to get her way. In fact, she goes out of her way to deny any help from him (though he still help her when HE thinks she needs it anyway). She has sharp mouth and wit, and doesn't cater to anyone's perspective of her.

For me this was an average novel. So I give it 3 stars.

Lots of people constantly blackening MC and gossips on the internet which in many cases will be solved by ML and sometimes by MC.

This is a hidden gem! Really a hidden gem!!!!!

The summary and rating do not give any justice. It is not that simple overbearing damsel in distress novel with fluff and cutie child. No. It is about revenge with family and showbiz intrigues.

However, I bet I know why people give a bad rating. Because the author is too way stingy to unleash the past secret, thus we need to guess ourselves along with the stories goes what might happened in the past so the FL act thay way, and it was... more>> tiring. Really. I felt like giving up in the middle but with the covid lockdown I do nothing so I kept perserving and finally some of the secret revealed around chap. 290.

And yeah. Some antagonists really missed their brain. So if you cannot handle an overly s*upid antagonist, pass this novel.

Anw the ML was a scum. I don't like him and though he repents and tries to change for better, FL deserve a better ML.

A revenge novel with a lot of backstories. What keep me here maybe because I hope for all of the secret revealed.... <<less
