Everything changed two hundred years ago. A Great Disaster occurred as beasts evolved and relentlessly hunted humanity, forcing the remaining humans to live in enclosed cities as they scrambled to develop technologies to fight back. But as fate dictates, heaven always leaves a path to salvation.
Humans learned to cultivate, step by bloody step, until a delicate equilibrium was reached between man and beast. Mankind began fighting back and hunted the same beasts that had once driven them to cower behind their walls in a mad rush to retake what they had lost before the beasts could overrun them for good.
But for every piece of technology or weaponry developed from their enemies’ bones, countless men and women became nothing more than food in a grand display of the law of the jungle.

- Illogical system: try not to understand how it works, I think even the Author doesn't. First the MC can see spirit stones in a mine, then he gets some random points for taking a beating, then he can increase his cultivation to the top of his class and beyond, then he spends some points to acquired mastery of a random sword technique, etc... all of that in the first chapters.
- s*upid MC: he got a system and does not seem to be surprised, no panic, no questions, nothing, no brain activity... It's like the MC is a machine, he scores first in the intellectual/knowledge exam of his class, but does not have any awareness.
- All the chineese novel clichés you can imagine: a little sister to protect, an overwarmly fatty friend, face slapping everywhere for no reasons, ect...
Read the comments/reviews on WW, some of them are even surprised that this novel was translated over there...The MC didn't do anything, didn't talk, didn't have much of a presence but was still being antagonized by some s*upid characters in his first day of school as a part time student.
- The story itself is good for reading where you do not need to think very much of the story of how certain thing works.
- It's passable as a quick read as you can just put it down or pick it up although the pace of an arc can sometime be quick or slow at certain time.
Just give the story a pass read, and it may hook you or not..
