Cute.

The main couple is cute with a kind ML (gong) and cute and stable MC (Shou).

The ML is possessive but to an ignorable extent and it's not bad.

Something really bothersome about this text is that it contains LOT'S of gay couples, one after another. It does have one hetero couple, though.
Some might complain about the extremely fast romantic development and say it's not 'realistic' (idiots finding realism in fiction), but that's just you get so, beware and don't read it if you don't like it.

Onto the characters,

MC: he's good. After rebirth, he wanted to not get entangled with anything related to his past life lover (Ji Yan tang). Yes, he didn't want to engage in any face-slapping drama but fate, oh well... oh well. He met ML on a blind date where he went as someone's replacement. They got their marriage certificate the same day.

ML: he is a business tycoon. He fell for MC at the first sight when he (ML) was touring around the college campus and saw MC lounging in a bench. The ML is very doting and doesn't have the overbearing vibe. Basically, MC can have friends and he doesn't rip them (friends) apart. Nice ML.

Ji Yan Tang: MC's past life lover. He.... is honestly not that bad of a scum. Sure, he is one hell of a pathetic piece of waste... but in a way, recyclable. He genuinely liked MC since their early years, but because of his own insecurities and inferior feelings, he refused to acknowledge it and unknowingly (to him) treated MC badly. He never did anything extremely abusive to MC (except for that one time in stairs). He is an extremely pathetic waste in a way that he treated () like Mc's substitute when they had s*x. The other dude (MY) was a green tea (or white lotus) but JYT ignored all the signs and that caused him to lose his true love, MC. He was devastated after MC's death.

Summing it up, JYT could've had a nice relationship with MC if he had just tried and was less ignorant of everything.

MC's brother: aiyahhhhh..... he ugh, he gets in my nerves but he's.... fine....I guess. Y'all might get uncomfortable by the fact that he loved, LOVED MC (his blood related brother) in a romantic way, though. Anyways, he treated MC badly because he wanted to separate MC from Ji Yan Tang, but that ended up with him causing very wide distance between him and MC. He regretted a lot and after his rebirth, he tried his best to become a better person and a brother, and forget those forbidden feelings.

The white lotus: well, the usual.

It has my favorite tropes - kick the scum gong to the curb and get a much better ML, and rebirth. The ML is possessive towards him (he fell for the MC the first time he saw him), and while this trait is not always the best, in this case, I actually welcome his deep love since the MC had gone through so much in his previous life. He really needed that perfect love to take him out of despair. It's really a sweet novel after the first few rebirth... more>> chapters.

Despite the rather lower rating, give it a go if you like the rebirth theme + a doting ML who will do anything for the MC + an MC who, once he got out of the shadow of the scum gong, actually becomes a strong character that can stand well on his own.

Edit - another reviewer mentioned the many gay couples as bothersome in the novel. I guess they won't want to read 祎庭沫瞳's Gu Family set of novels where each novel is about a gay brother, lol. Unlike in real-life LGBT, in danmei everything is possible, including multiple gay couples, rebirth, and even ABO. <<less

Very fast paced story, surface level characters. Sweet love between main couple.

I thought the author was kidding but the couple really did get married after 15 sentences 😂😂 (yes, I counted).

It has a weak execution at the start and the writing is amateurish, but this novel is hillarious and I like the trope. Just beware that the author liked to pull ridiculous plot armors out of nowhere, especially when trouble happened.
