Because what in talking angela bullsh*t makes author think its romantic to have ML secretly access MC's phone camera to take a peek at MC face and poor MC wouldnt able to know someone is spying on him because he is blind.

let's the blind person connect to either an AI or a volunteer to help them in tasks such as identifying clothes, finding items, see if certain food items are spoilt etc. Via the camera of the phone. It seems like a pretty good app to me. ML originally was on it as a tester since he did make the app and MC's aunt downloaded it for him to help him so they met by fate. ML later finds MC irl but ofc MC doesn't know it since he can't see hence the hidden identity aspect.

And that app really has some spooky features. Imagine how creepy it would be if a person blanatly takes a peek at you by automatically activating the camera of your device without permission and you don'thave any idea about it. I think it was more of a Spyware rather than a proper aiding app. The ml's brain circuit was not right at all.
