Ahhhhhh This is the novel I like the most from authors list of storiesss about abo Since this Novel is lighthearted and less fighting unlike the other novels of same franchise world of author. You can read this as a stand Alone. But also good to read the other novels if want to dwelve further on their Abo world.

If based on age : Runaway guide will be the first to read [ starts with Uncle Xi wei story]

--> 2nd is: ABO cadets [ Caesar and Lin yu story + many... more>> side cp's story]

---> 3rd is : interstellar marriage guide = about Luo Fei [ luo Ning' s brother] and his fiance to wife story

Last Novel is actually this Film emperor's marriage

Anywaysss from the Title itself it started like that ahahha MC&ML have their own thinking why they got to marriage but there's more the story will be revealed later👀 MC will be honest with ML about his plans hahaha well their journey to falling in love deeply was a good development. MC have lots of ideas and also has his own strengths especially for his career. ML slowly dotes on MC and became.a family man in the end haha. MC is likeableee just dont be on his bad side or else ready to face retribution. ML also a husband material, he blushes more than MC haha. Also the side cp is a good story too!!! Translation ended so you can binge reading this now! <<less

I am the translator for the novel. This novel is really fluffy. There is no angst, but the alpha is a shy cutie while the omega is a cunning fox. There is a lot of respect given to omegas and pheromones isn't why they fall in love or marry. This is a really sweet story that would make for a good read anytime as it is a sort of healing novel.

Goodness, the beginning of this novel is hilarious as the gong and shou fall on each others' swords and accidentally commit double sudoku.

Thus begins their life in a marriage of convenience. Or at least, that's what the gong thinks.

The little shou is a big sneak and contrived the entire plot himself so that he could hook 'em quick. Unfortunately, his gong is a true gentleman and didn't lay a finger on him for many months.

This is the last, and in my opinion best, novel in a quartet consisting of ABO Cadets, Runaway Guide, and Interstellar Marriage Guide.

It rectifies some of the issues that plagued the previous novels including overly possessive gongs, dubcon, and lack of betas. In this rendition, the gong is actually very gentle, shy, and respectful. And *gasp* the characters have interaction with betas. Real betas! There are even a few rarely found female betas. It's a danmei miracle!

Anyways, it's a pretty short and sweet closing to the ABO saga.

I do have to comment on the MTL translation though...

The emperor's name 西泽 (xi zhe) should be Caesar, not Nishizawa, hahaha. How did he suddenly turn Japanese?

At start novels look naive fluff.

Only to realise halfway poor ML got conned by trickster MC into marrying him. MC at start comes off innocent only to find out later, MC is so cunning. At first it feels like how come MC family let him married even knowing MC & ML are acting. Later only to realise MC liked ML and his family just helped him in "acting" as a victim.

Novel is just fluff. Can be read for enjoyment after some antgst.

Hmmm didnt cut it for me, it just got progressively more annoying to read. Maybe cause we get a lot of the ML pov up to this chapter it just feels like everybody is fkcn him over and I get it's supposed to be funny but when every chapter is basically a rinse and repeat of it, it gets a little frustrating. My gosh, especially when it reads like he's slowly starting to form a crush and doing his best to keep to contract and MC is out here again... more>> and again violating the contract with an almost blasé take at an apology - not to mention all of the mc's relatives giving the ML a hard time (jokingly but still kinda annoying). Idk, im just not for the writing, pacing is a little bit inexperienced? - Like the writer is new? Cause of that I just dont find the MC endearing enough, so I dropped it.

fyi, I have read the author's other works and waaayyy back when I think I remember enjoying runaway guide (although I do remember getting a that's it vibe from it when I finished reading it). I've also read accidental mark and enjoyed that more. Maybe my mind just isnt cut out for this kind of writing and plot now <<less

Good novel! Really sweet! Highly reccomend!

My only criticism is with the extra chapters, and honestly I'd reccomend you skip them. ESPECIALLY if you have beef with how neurodivergency is seen as bad in CN novels and dislike favoritism with children.

I really dislike how differently LN and QYZ treat their son.... first they call him ugly compared to their daughter (HE WAS LITERALLY BORN PREMATURELY AND WAS A 6 MONTH OLD FETUS NO sh*t HE LOOKS A LIL WEIRD), they are so distracted by their daughter that they only visited their son in an incubator on weekends, and they were actually worried about their son having ADHD and thinking it was a bad thing because he would kick a lot?? As a person with ADHD, this pissed me off a lot. LN even thinks of beating his newborn son because his crying irritated their daughter?? And only doesn't because the infant was too young??? I think this attitude might be because their son is an alpha male and for some reason the author seems to prefer daughters over sons a lot in theor novels... anyway, the way they treat their baby son irritated me so much that I even hesitated in rating this novel highly. It completely ruined the novel for me. I honestly reminded me of another danmei where there were 2 fraternal twins and the daughter was super spoiled by her family while her twin brother was despised and looked down on, thus making him into a villain. I always hate when authors make parents play favorites with their children, and it's clear that the author doesn't know what a healthy parent-child relationship looks like.

I'm too lazy to write a proper review when all I'm thinking of is already written by 'DeanRae'...

I have a pet peeve tho; unnecessary misunderstandings. I really liked it at the beggining, but after the marriage... it quickly became annoying for me. Frustrating. MC became annoying really quickly with his breaking the contract and half-assed apologies (it's the half-assed apologies that bother me), and him doing the same thing over and over again even after apologizing. It's meant to be funny, but to me it's just not.

Next, MC feels manipulative.... more>> Not just because he admitted he wanted the marriage with ML so he can help him write scripts (because ML is an actor), but also because in the whole honeymoon villa phase, he seems so indifferent and fake to ML. Meanwhile ML is falling in love with him (awfully quickly might I say..) BECAUSE of the things MC does! And everytime when ML tries to abide by the contract, MC ruins it again and again. We also don't get any POVs from MC at the villa so we don't know what he's thinking really, just what we see on the surface (expressions etc.). And by those, he doesn't seem to care at all. No moments when his heart beats a little faster. No staring blankly at handsome ML (we got him staring admiringly at ML before doing something else blablabla, and that doesn't seem romantic at all to me). And because he's already been described as scheming you can't help but think he's just pretending to be clueless.

Basically, I feel bad for ML and everyone f*cking him over. Another pet peeve; when you say the truth but no one listens and think you're lying/hiding something and/or are convinced they know what you're "hiding". Which happens a lot here. Especially to ML

I didn't get that far, I dropped it about the point ML was jealous of MC going to a meeting with that Director Yu or something. No. Just no. <<less

So far, I'm enjoying it.

There's only one problem I'm kinda dissatisfied but it is no biggie. It is when there are sentences or phrases like. He is not like an ordinary omega. Or he is not shy compared to an ordinary omega, and so on. I mean what's wrong with being shy and effeminate? Are yah looking for a fight ey?

Haha. Just kidding. But seriously. '_'

c51 edit

Tut-tut I saw another thing that is not to my taste there are quite a few but this one is just obvious. But again it is no biggie, not enough to drop the novel and since the novel is a short one, it is passable So ML is jealous over MC rooming with the director Yun Cheng. And I can't believe ML is silly enough that he almost runs there and make a scene, Haha. Let me clarify, I like possessive and yandere MLs with respect. And ML is one of them, (eh well he is not a yandere). But I thought that I already read in the previous chapter that Li Xin, the manager, had already explained to ML that although they are sharing a room they have different bedrooms. So it seems kinda redundant to me. I don't know but it felt redundant. Does he not trust MC or underestimate his brain and love for him? So that's all my comment. <<less

Whoever likes watching spoiled noble children with weak ethics misuse their power and status can read this. It's poisoned sugar with the unpleasant aftertaste of communal gaslighting. These royals are utterly selfish, and we're supposed to think it's cute. Giving 3 stars here only because the technicalities of authorship and translation have been observed; it's not the worst novel on Novelupdates. But in my heart it's a solid 0.

This is a good fluffy read. Very sweet and full of dog food. It's pretty entertaining, but will I read it again? Probably not.

I'm a bit underwhelmed and a bit irked since I absolutely love the author's other work "Accidental Mark"

Rated this as 4 star mainly due to the MC and a bunch of misunderstanding trope.

Rant ahead, take it with a grain of salt because I was writing my negative feelings in real time:

-They confessed feelings at Chapter 43, that's when I started feeling irked lmao

-MC bugs the sh*t out of me because of how manipulative he is. I feel bad for the ML BUT MC explains it immediately after, so that makes it a bit better I guess

The ML's IQ nose dived after this and forgave him immediately lol

-Another thing is it's ok if Luo Ning orchestrate himself onto the seme but if the seme does it, he's going to act pissed and embarass the seme??? Huh

-MC didn't even ask the ML's opinion on babies and just didn't take contraceptives. Like?!?! Family planning who? He literally said it's because HE wanted a child. That's selfish af imo

And the way they treated their son just makes me pity the baby dude. Luo Ning went, I prefer daughters so you can go ahead and visit him on your own cuz im tired lol

At first going off of the summary, I thought this was going to be a fun pure fluff novel. In some ways, it is but the more I read the more frustrated I become.

It is clear that MC isn't really that innocent and then the whole relationship starting point just seem to be manipulative for me to continue because I didn't sign up for that

I was confuse why the mc's family was okay with the marriage eventhough it seem like majority knows it was a scam. Knowing that MC orchestrated everything and they helped to fool ML dampened the whole mood.

A pitcher of liquified caramel, much sweet 😋

There is no strong plot here; it just tells the evolution of the relationship between MC And ML, so those who search for a complicated story, don't read it, please. It is a quiet novel Completely.

ML Alpha is almost unconventional. I like it; I did not read a novel in which Alpha is shy; this first time, an excellent job at breaking the routine.

MC He is a big black belly; I was surprised after I knew his good works.

3 stars!

It was an okay read (can I truly say I completed it when I was speed reading towards the end?). I treated it as a shuang wen and it was relatively okay.

The story starts out pretty innocently with the usual trope of a fake relationship that develops into something more. Like other reviews pointing it out, there is manipulation involved but I closed both my eyes to the logic applied in the book. In fact, I add points to ... more>>

LN admitting to QYZ that he had somewhat manipulated him into the marriage. At least there was no secret afterwards. And he accepted it.

What mildly annoyed me was how QYZ IQ seemed to deplete after falling in love.

Everyone admits he's at the best developing stage of his career that's just taking off. But right after discovering his feelings, suddenly he's a hot mess. From taking long breaks to going into random shows for the sake of being with LN. It's like he turned foolish. I mean, I'm not faulting him for his silly in love mood but it's a bit ridiculous considering he is not a young teen and he's setting was of a cool mature adult before all this happened.

I was actually more interested in the potential side CP

because yes, alpha x beta. But with my supersonic speed reading, I'm not sure if I missed it or it was left on a cliffhanger with no resolution? Either that or the place I was reading didn't include any extras on them. Which is just sad.

Overall, a chill, and I really mean chill (remove logic when reading) read. <<less

Bland and unlikeable characters. Some writers are able to bring you into the story, making you feel interested and hang onto every word. This is the opposite, I felt bored to death with these stale characters. The summary had potential, but the monotonous writing and subpar plot fell very short of my expectations.

Low stakes and interesting set-up but of course this genre devolves into too much fluff eventually.

Note that the author seems to have no scruples

painting gaslighting as romance!

This is very sweet❤️❤️❤️. And yes the MC is a bit manipulative but he confesses pretty soon and the only reason he did what he did was to give them more chances to interact and fall in love. If the ML didn't like him or they were not compatible the MC would probably divorce right away. So for me it is sweet that his family supported the MC and that the MC confesses everything to the ML and that the ML feels lucky to have been tricked. Well... I'm at chapter 14 and I pity Qin Yize. I know that it is his consequence to feel pressured and all because they chose to pretend. But it's kind of unfair because the plot that the author has design for the past chapters, it seems that it's only him who's carrying the consequences. I don't know. It's just what I felt. It felt that Lou Ning still had it easy. There's not much pressure on him or worries. I just don't feel the comforting words nor assurances that Lou... more>> Ning talked to Qin Yize.
