This novel is not what I thought it was. I thought there was gonna be romance but there isn't. ZERO ROMANCE! That was really disappointing for me but it was an ok novel overall. It didn't have the hype of other novels but rather a more idyllic and laidback vibe to it.

I mtl-ed this novel so excuse my mistakes for names and details and such. The heroine is Zhou Baore, a fortune teller tells her grandma that shes gonna have a limitless future and peerless luck. Oh yeah this is... more>> a feminist novel folks! A FEMINIST novel! The first half is about Wu Meili taking care of her family and providing for them and then the birth of Zhou Baore and the luck that revolves around them since coming into the world. The greater part of the novel shes a child and then in the last 20 or so chapters shes a teenager and then an adult. The world has some fantasy elements in it. There are witches and wizards, they are respected by everyone, because they are born with divine powers and innate skills. Zhou Baore is one such child, she was born with divine strength and the power to perceive emotions, later on she gains other abilities.

Spoiler

When shes 5 yrs old she gains a master whos a famous general and when she grows up she gets his inheritance, the Chen family and his private army. She also gets a space. This heroine is super -OP, but shes not arrogant or obnoxious. Well I guess shes arrogant but its not annoying. You can tell the author is just paving the way for Zhou Baore. Shes got the space, the army and the food, you know what this means! Taking over the Kingdom! Shes got great ambitions, nutured by her grandma who treats her like the pearl in her palm, becuz she knows her granddaughters got a bright future and is gonna prop the family up. I like how Zhou Baore is so open about her space, she tells everyone about it and lets everybody into her space to help with farming her crops. Theres something refreshing about not being so secretive about your space and openly using it. Along the heroines journey there are no huge setbacks, the biggest is her space getting stolen, but dont worry, she gets it back and a whole lot more! Her journey to the top can be said to be pretty smooth. I wish the author could include some more about her martial arts abilties and how she hones her skill. You only see her training and learning the internal skills but we don't see her actually fighting any opponents that really challenge her to grow stronger which is a pity. Theres like only one fight and that lasted like a few seconds.

Theres a transmigration tag, but its not the heroine thats a transmigrator but other characters. 2 are transmigrators and 1 is a reincarnator.

One guy, Murong Jongfeng/Mu Jongfeng is a transmigrator from a martial arts world and he's got a system that allows him to accomplish tasks and gain points to redeem for treasure and dan medicine n-stuff. I thought he was the ML at first but he's just a side character.

Yang Yiyi is a transmigrator from the modern world. She excelled in business management and crossed over when she died in a car accident-typical. She became the daughter of a peasant family. Shes also got a space, and it has a spiritual spring. Shes a side character that basically helps Zhou Baore in her journey to the top. A typical transmigrator who laments going back to ancient times and misses the conveniences of modern life. She attempts su*cide a few times before finally accepting her situation and trying to better her life and her families.

Yin Yanxia- I think thats her name
is reborn again and she has all the memories from her past life, which helps her make decisions that steer her clear from the bad ending in her past life. Another character created to help the heroine on her journey.

This novel reminds me of Japanese light novels the way its written. Like things happen and it is the way it is. Its light and theres no angst or hype. Things happen and ur not affected too much, or maybe thats just me.

I enjoy her relationship with her family/friends and classmates. Her family loves her very much and doesn't try to tear her down. Her grandma has a unconditional faith in her that is heartwarming. Her classmates are nice and everyone helps each other out. Theres no scheming, backstabbing or betrayal here. You won't find petty characters who act out because they envy the heroine and think they're better. Theres scheming/betrayal/backstabbing in other characters families though.

The characters also go on missions to help out people with their abilties. Its kinda boring.

Theres also long chapters about side characters and their lives but they have little connection to the heroine. I could care less about side characters. They are boring to me.

Overall, this novel is ok. Nothing mindblowing or profound. Its good for light reading. Its ok, 3 stars. <<less

No clue why this has any 1 star reviews at 2 chapters. The translation and flow is great and the story is interesting. I wish that all reviewers were required to leave the reasons for their reviews because b.s. Like this completely invalidates the review system.

Go into this novel with an open mind. So far it has avoided major tropes and is focusing on the circumstances around the MC's birth while highlighting the daily devastation of drought and famine. I am enjoying the pace and setting\character building.
