This one is unexpectedly a very good novel. I really recommend it to others. At first I thought this would be the usual smut with no substantial plot kind of novel where the MC falls for his father in law after spending one night with him, they have will have affair and bla bla, the usual trope. But I was so wrong and I first had a negative impression of father in law, but he really is sincere, and nice person and was not interested in MC.I like both MC... more>> and ML and love how ML cares and supports MC. As for the smut, I dont think there was any? At from where I read there was no such thing.. THe plot is also very interesting, although the first few chapters are very tragic but overall its a happy story. <<less

This is a novel with a lot of missed potential. The premise and opening was set up well with a lot of drama and tragedy paving the way for redemption.

... But then... I don't even know. I had to double check to make sure I was reading the right novel a few times because it got to be so ridiculous and inconsistent.

Like at first, it seems like this is a modern novel, but then it just jumps right into interstellar after the rebirth? The gong is a president of a... more>> large company and then all of the sudden he's an admiral and member of the secret forces. And for some reason everyone and their mother and grandparents and nieces and nephews have super powerful military backing.

Not to mention, the ages are wildly variable.

In the beginning it seems the gong is 39 and the shou is about 15 years younger than him, but after rebirth the gong goes back 10 years in time and the shou is 18? Excuse me but there is a big difference between a 13 year old and an 18 year old. Ah, but the genre suddenly changed to interstellar and humans can live til 300 now so it doesn't matter, right?

I really hated how the gong kept giving his ex-spouse a bunch of chances. Like oh, he might be cheating. Now there's evidence of his cheating. But wait he gets 3 chances to make up for his cheating. Stop it!! Yeah, he's cheating, what more do you want! Do you need to stand in the room while they're shagging to be sure of it?!

Don't even get me started on the shou's personalities. Pre-rebirth shou was a depressed and lonely guy, while post-rebirth shou is a sunny boy. If anything, post-rebirth shou should have PTSD...

In short, this is a big trainwreck and I don't really recommend it. <<less

i liked this novel because is sweet, by the way, not everything is smut and s*x, this novel is romance and drama and have sweet smut between the main couple (the father in law and the son in law though after they die they go back to the past so they are not longer father in law and son in law). The only thing that I did not like is that at the beginning there is too much drama but after that is face slapping and a sweet romance between the main couple.

It's a slow romance, they don't get that they fell for each until way later.

TBVH I got stuck and delayed reading at the first few chapters because I'm so freaking annoyed at the dogblood-ab*se! Lmao. Skim or try to tolerate the cheating ex-husband and the money-grabber mother-in-law. That part won't be long anyway. It's a rebirth+revenge story so the fun part is how the scum relatives will get what's due for them.

At first I feel awkward bcos at the start of the story they were legal in-laws (it won't happen again). Coming from the previous tragedy, rebirth made me realize they might have met... more>> in the worst way but they are actually best suited for each other. "Previous life" is pretty long. At chap 39 we arrive to reincarnating back to past life.

For the people confused, yes, ML returned to the past 11 years ago. It's just that the interstellar elements were consciously left out so the plot could concentrate on the casts but it has always been there in a low-key way. <<less

Great story ! Interesting and original because the protagonist thought that his life was ok until a fateful event and tried to correct it by saving his future son/daughter-in law from meeting her doom aka his own son (also making amends).

But on the road of rebirth, he discovered how his life was fake and how he needed to change the one thing on the way of his own happiness and found another road.

I really loved this novel !

This is a really bittersweet story (bitter then sweet). Yes, it's heavy on dog blood, but it's such a good story that you won't even care about all the dog blood. I was expecting myself to get confused and having a numerous "WTF" moment with the story's plot, but it's unexpectedly good and I'm glad that I'm giving this story a shot.

I really like how ML always thinking about MC well-being after he realized his mistake. Also a plus point that it's an Mpreg and the Shou didn't make me... more>> annoyed lol. <<less

Although, I have not read the whole book. I read up to chapter 2. I wish I can understand Chinese so I can read their great novels but unfortunately we can’t be given too much blessings.

So far, the chapters show an implied tragic romance between the father-in-law and the son-in-law.

The culprit.... As many yaoi novels like it. The woman should be the villain.

Why I gave this novel a 5.0 vote? Because it piqued my interest and attention. Not because of the s*x but the anticipation of how this author will... more>> solve these complex problems behind the setting of his story.

First of all, I am so close to give this 1-star but at least the ending is quite bittersweet (it's a HE) and suddenly the face-slapping is done nicely.

... more>> Btw if you think you'll read a p*rn-plot, then you'll have to be disappointed. I thought I have read it all, but this one, sighs. There are so many things I can rant about especially the ML.

Moreover, I think it should be tagged as Seme Protagonist and Rebirth / Reincarnation tag because apparently this story has that element.

Now /cracking fingers/ let's start with my rants.

What I hate so much is idiotic doormat MC/ML. ML clearly knew that his wife (not MC) has cheated on the second life and yet he didn't do anything at all. The reason?

He wanted to "protect" MC by keeping an eye for his son, who's the tr*shy seme who's your typical bratty ungrateful 2nd generation bastard.

I find this truly ridiculous. The author tried to put it like with the 4-year (yes after knowing the wife cheated, ML still be with him for 4 years although in paper only) is the time to heal all the wound and to forget all the love ML has. But gdi? Are you an idiot? Where's your brain?

The mom said it all. If he was trying to protect MC, then wouldn't MC be considered as 3rd party? Thankfully after they did the insemination thing, ML quickly processed with the divorce. Even then, I was still trying to hold my anger because GDI it took like 100 chapters for the ML to have some sense?

Idk if it's the translator's arrangement but 100 chapters out of 140 to see the idiotic process of the ML? Yeah, I'm patting myself a good job for finishing this.

The age. It was so confusing. Tr*shy Seme said that MC is 4-year older in first life (at age 24) they were together for like 2-3 years? Then it was 26/27 right? Then the rebirth was to 11 year ago so should the MC be like 15/16? But the author somehow implied it's 18? And then it was mentioned the mother will leave MC at age 10 so the father left and he didn't have anyone? Nevermind, I'm confused.

Timeskip — to many timeskips that I can't even put myself into it. There was also like missing piece. After the ML gave 3 chances then it was supposed to be 1 month but then Idk what happendd and then 4 years have passed??

Also, I'm not satisfied that they don't do paternity test with Chen Mu after all the green-hats. I feel like it should be mentioned at least once.

The world building is also messy like Idk? It's futuristic but it feels like our modern time?

All in all, I finished this in one sitting. Was it good? Well, if you love rebirth with seme protagonist and can handle the idiotic thinking with lots of faceslapping (which is the only good thing here) then go ahead, I guess <<less

This novel, whew.. In my case angst lol it was a full on angst for someone like me who gets emotional reading this story. In my opinion, this story is hard to describe in one word tbh. All I know is that for a story to get me crying, laughing, smiling, stay up, disgusted at characters in the story. It’s a good one. 2.5 stars 💫

It is a good read, but I would’ve given it a higher rating if the translation had been better. There were a lot of plot holes in the novel that came and went without being clarified, so at times, I will find myself being confused about what I’m reading, and the translation makes it twice as bad.

The best part of the novel is probably the last 15 to 10 chapters.

The description caught me, I looked for the story and I can say that I looked for copper and found gold, I really liked the development of the characters.

MC and ML had the opportunity to be together despite the difficulties and their past, this story could have had more chapters and had you hooked, but I still liked it a lot.

I like this novel.. It's a bittersweet novel.. When I read the first quarter chapter I felt very sad for MC, ML (not much) and children.. This novel has more potential to be very much.. And I really enjoyed reading this novel..

Thank you translator!!!

I read the MTL twice because I really love the MC. And it's rare to see ML with no cold-to-anyone-beside-you. ML is kind of dumb regarding love, but yeah I get it... Even one of my relative is like that (when people tell that you deserves better but the person doesn't think so). And each person has their own problem, especially the ML & MC.

I only regret that the friends didn't come much. The story really focus to the main characters trying to trust love.
