I'm giving the story a 2 star rating. But since the translation quality is good, then +1 star.

The story is very typical. Very cliche. It's the type that's in the You've-read-them-all category.

°Assasin in the past life - check!

°Became strong and is making her own organization - check!

Welp, regardless of those cliches, I would still read those and enjoy it but somehow, basing on the latest translated chaps, the progression of the story is kinda... loose? Too fast? It was kinda gritting to read it so I had to skip some dialogues and stuff. The cliches can stay and the story can be fast paced but at least, let the execution or the flow of the story be worth the characters in it and the readers will totally appreciate it. It kinda felt forced, tbh.

Then again, if you have lots of time and you are bored, this is still okay to read. I just hope the story will get better. <<less

the story started to get slower and start adding more pe*verted stuff, everytime bai jin yi meet with MC, he would either injured or poisoned and long xiao pang (that ginseng brat) would always make the MC to pe*verted stuff to him against her will for medical purposes. I f*cking hate that, I really want to kill long xiao pang and bai jin yi... she would always be forced to be naked with him and forced to suck poison in him using her tongue, then bai jin yi would unconsciously start to grope her during the treatment.

There was 1 time long xiao pang made her suck a worm from his body but he didn't tell her that the worm have aphrodisiac effects on her when the worm gets in heat, huo ling smelled something disgusting from the MC and told her about it (it was the worm) but she disregard it... long xiao pang keeps forcing her to be with bai jin yi it made me feel disgusted, wish the MC could learn how to say no but everytime she saw bai jin yi unconscious she would always end up doing it...

I wish the author would stop forcing the MC do pe*verted stuff against her will like that, but I doubt that that would happen... so i've decided to drop it... long xiao pang seriously need to mind his own business, it's not funny forcing a girl to go naked and make out with a man whom she barely considered a love interest

I like these kind of stories with transmigration/rebirth plots so I decided to give it a shot. The beginning was not bad, the MC decides to get revenge in place of the original, gets stronger and starts to make a name for herself. To achieve her goals she goes to establish an assassin group similar to the one in her former life, starts to cultivate, learns alchemy and meets the mysterious ML after buying him in an auction. All fine and dandy.

we learn that the MC started in a subpar place and even if she reaches the level of peak genius there she will be tr*sh compared to people from other country. In fact, the MC will reach her initial goal, killing the seventh prince around the 730 ish mark

Regarding the romance, at the point I last read there is little of that, the few moments where the leads are together are somewhat dry,

I want to give this 5 stars but I haven't finished the whole novel yet so I rate it 4/5 for now. The main issue is that the translator only release 2 small chapters a week and it would take years to even finish this novel.

    • Great story with multiple arcs that don't tire you out. There are many arcs in this novel which all add up together to seamlessly form the overall plot; it all makes sense. I personally enjoyed the training arcs whenever they would leave the cities and just go on adventures. The lore is fleshed out and you grow to understand the world the MC transmigrated into as she takes on more adventures. This is a travel story so if you like that kind of thing then give this a try.
    • The phasing of the plot is just fine, the story doesn't rush at you with info dump but also doesn't leave you hanging. It's a constant cycle of missions and trainings and revenge all together. You practically watch the MC grow up from when she transmigrated so the author gives a convincing slice of life.
    • The power growth for the MC is still gradual even with some cheats. It's not instantaneous that she just becomes very OP but she does get some luck and shortcuts from LXP from time to time. You can track her power progression quite well and recall times in the story where she wasn't as powerful as she wanted to be so it goes full circle with the whole cultivation thing so she trains like crazy again and again.
    • Don't expect much for the romance in the first 500 chapters. By then it's just a bit of teasing here and there and when there is some hot scenes it's filled with dubious consent. What really bothers me about the romance subplot is that XLP pushes the MC and ML to do things. I really pity the MC who is dubbed as a strong and independent female lead that just gets manipulated by LXP and the ML to do dubious s*xual acts. It just felt like the author had to forcefully bring down what would have been a great MC. Her original identity which she carried when she transmigrated was as a very feisty assassin so I find it hard to swallow that she's being fondled around by the ML even if he's currently more powerful than her in terms of martial arts. I didn't come for the romance and it didn't make me read on at all instead it was the MC that kept me going.
    • The MC herself is flawed but realistically so. The patriarchal underlining of this world is very apparent even when it's repeatedly described as a dog-eat-dog world of martial arts where strength is all that should matter. She is the typical cold, stubborn, unfeeling, mu*derous, vengeful, and proud MC of this kind of transmigration trope but she is still fun to read despite all that because she genuinely perseveres towards her goals. It might be a typical trait for MCs to not give up but when you realistically compare her level to those of the very OP characters native to this world, she really is weak but she keeps on training to be stronger.
    • I find the world building very interesting. I like how the author related real world Chinese religion lore here. The system is believable. The martial arts described are pretty vivid and they don't all sound the same which helps the reader understand the differences. The objects and the settings actually add to the story instead of being just embellishments to the plot. The beautiful world building really sets this story apart from other transmigration xuanhuan novels.
    • The main characters are by no means really good guys. They're all more or less violent and are killers in their own right. They just happen to be on the side of the MC and the MC is the star of the story. This doesn't make the story bad at all in fact, it makes the storytelling a bit more realistic. People really have selfish interests. The MC's squad is considered loyal because she picked most of these side characters up and trained them. Their camaraderie is also cute.
    • This is such a fun adventure story! It doesn't get boring at all. Even the static plot points carry the story well without the fighting and martial arts. The intrigue and face slapping are quite dramatic but they're evenly sprinkled throughout the story. The author keeps you at the edge of your seat every chapter. There's always something new to discover about the story and the MC going through her life and building her legacy is just such a fun experience as a reader.
    • My dissatisfaction is really about LXP enabling the s*xual harassment towards the MC and the MC being inconsistent with her characterization on the s*xual harassment. If LXP didn't continuously encourage the ML and trick the MC then the MC would have continue the story just fine. The author should have let the romance grow naturally instead of shoving it into the readers by forcing the MC to get conditioned to s*xual harassment. I get it that the theme is ancient China and their moral compasses are all sh*t but couldn't the author write the MC to be a bit more modern in perspective? For f*ck's sake the MC is from our modern world so she should have been ingrained with a strong belief for individual rights especially women's rights. Sure the MC can't really fight for all the women in her new world but at least she could hold herself up to the standard of a modern woman to not let herself just be groped and taken advantage of since the author wrote her to be so stubborn and cold anyway. Personally reading about these parts were maddening but still bearable due to the rationalization that this is just a work of fiction.
    • I conclude that this is a great novel despite some flaws. It is very well written, you can tell the author took the time to really weave the world into a rich tapestry of adventure, martial arts, action, fantasy, and romance.

I hope there will be consistent update! Cuz dang... There are still 3, 000 chapters ongoing. I’m liking it so far (ch67) despite the cliches around transmigration novels.

Transmigrated into body of a “tr*sh” for some reason. Death unknown (very satisfying lol). Also gained a world space as an advantage cheat to be an alchemist, plus a bonus beast (currently only knows how to eat). Her progress isn’t astounding as of cultivation wise and as a alchemist, besides her killing abilities, so it was kind of refreshing.

MC took swift actions, using... more>> her skills as an legendary assassin. Create nonexistent alchemist individuals as her backup and starts to gather members to build of her assassin guild to regain her former glory.

The (highly) potential ML is a mysterious, high-profile individual who fell under her wings due to some circumstance and took interest her, but doesn’t blindly do so. I’d love to see how it’ll progress. Spoiler alert (?) : He may or may not be a prince.

Recommended if you’re bored and waiting for others to update, or might just stack up chapters for this idk <<less

This is the story about someone who's transmigrated into a different, ancient era world. While it has some generic elements, I think there's a reason why we come back to these novels.

Honestly, this novel has surprised me. I feel that it gets more interesting the more I read and it really doesn't bore me. I was sceptic the first hundred chapters-ish, but once it got started it just kept flowing. Try to read with an open mind.

By the way, the translator is doing a great job with frequent updates. Definitely... more>> worth looking into! <<less

I love this one. So much. The characters are refreshing and fun. There's humour and obviously a cultivation novel as this is all I need. But.. Can you update more please 🥺🙏..I have read till chap 933 and I am starved for more. I have even resorted to going on mlt to read it but I could hear my brain cells exploding with each effort. The protagonist has already been stuck at the same level of cultivation for a long time, she has not progressed any further than the seven level of cultivation. Her goal doesn't seem to get any closer while all the other characters slowly seem to be overtaking her. If it weren't for the treasures that have been found by the help of the dragon master definitely no one, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY would be alive or would have come this far. And let's not talk about the attitude of the male lead and the dragon master. The ML is really bland, the only special thing is that he does seem to be advancing in terms of his power, but I can't say if he really loves the MC, if she causes him any change or what. And the dragon master already has me fed up, always in the middle of everything, the one who knows everything and on whom at the end of the day everyone depends

DNF, was actually a 4.5 star novel up until ch 450. So much normalised r*pe culture. It is NOT ok for a s*upid plant (long xiao pao) to make s*xual decisions for the MC such as forcing her to be in situations that require her to be naked and fondled, literally sexually assaulted because she DID NOT CONSENT. Is this f*cking disgusting sh*t considered hot in China? It also makes the MC seem weak, she is a top assassin from the 21st century, couldn't she be a bit more strong... more>> willed. Overall, hated it. <<less

The story's the usual assassin transmigrating to tr*sh person. But written in a very incoherent manner, and at times feels rushed. The MC behaves in a tyrannical and senseless manner. Although, this genre is interesting, the story makes it difficult to continue...

At first, I liked the story. Although it's the typical transmigration story, the protagonist isn't really some know-it-all, everything went easily in her favor like other story. However around the hundredth chapter, it seems like the main lead, the FL, is being outshine by the ML. The focus shifted on the ML when they went to the mountains. Yeah, we know the ML is the all-so-powerful know-it-all which the author still waste a few chapters on, which makes me lose interest in the story.

And also after all that the group... more>> did and they came down, I thought they can finally show the result of their hard-work, but no! Even the ML's subordinate outshined them. He was like 'I just saved them in passing'. Like, seriously! Who really is the main protagonist of this story?? <<less

The story is pretty good. I enjoy it a lot. There are parts of translation that got me confused... but since I know this story is in Chinese and I know decent amount of Chinese, I was able to guess what weird sections of the translation meant.

Not the worst, but a lot of things annoyed me until I gave up.

First, if you don't like a MC that is supposed to be this badass girl, but actually, was always being manipulated by others, Then this is not for you. She is merciless with her enemies, but her "allies" were always playing her, even her "companion" a s*upid plant, was always doing things behind her back, to get her where it wanted. Was really annoying.

Second, if you don't like ML who take advantage of the goodwil of the... more>> MC, then you're like me, and will get annoyed pretty fast with this. She helped him a lot in the beggining but he was always indifferente to her until later. Also he have no respect fo her body and take advantage of her in multiple ocasions.

Bad characters, MC is just enough so we can stand her. And her companions and friends don't make a difference at all. They're just there.

To be honest I tried to continue until the last minute, because this was one of the firsts novels that i've read, and I was really unlucky, all my first's happen to be bad too, so back then I didn't mind that much, but later I discovered that these weak points are not a common thing for all novels so now I can see how poor the plot, and characters are.I don't hate this novel as much as I hate others, but I'm not happy with it either. I would reccomend this to 2 kind of people :

- Old readers with nothing else to read and a good patience to get thru the parts where MC turns s*upid just for the sake of the plot or the romance.

- New readers that are confident that they can take the cultural differences such as woman being treat as playtoys. This including the MC. <<less
