a good novel

MC (shou) comes back to life at the end of his university life

and to compensate for the misfortune and the death of the ML (gong)

MC decides to get away from him and secretly help him

luckily ML doesn't let him go

and at the end they end up together

because she likes to create misunderstandings

frankly I liked the novel

I cried a lot

because in both lives

they both loved each other

but some misunderstandings

and the nonsense of friends

we create all this mess

the story are short and the retaliation are not so great.. The MC have a f*ckup life and his life revolves around ML.. I know in the past he f*ck up the ML life but he had reason.. And this life I can see why he be like that its all because ML giving him hopes.. And then went the ML remember his past life he become cold to the MC he ingnore MC and left him and went he knows the reason why the MC did that.. Nothing happen to the ML and it seem like the MC become mentally ill again and he said that he will never let the MC go again and then the end.. F*ck it so cheap of him.. Im hoping the MC should just kill himself and become coma and then forget all about the ML for at least more that a year if it were me I should be 5 year min.. I know the ML had a shitty life but its not like the MC had a great life.. He mentally ill and the ML as his friend should at least wonder why the MC become so weird ant his personality become totally change.. And what I angry about are in this life the MC try to separate from the ML but the ML become possessive and dont want to let him go and then went he reincarnate he left the MC just like that..

I don't know how to rate this novel because it gave me an immense amount of psychic damage but I also binged it in one day.

In essence, this novel is a dog blood 90 chapter story about two people who are extremely unhealthy for each other but can't escape the other's pull.

mc: you may find him despicable at first but you will pity him as the story goes by. In the end he's definitely a victim. His greatest tragedy is meeting ML.

Ml: at first you'll pity him but then you'll... more>> find him despicable. Not as kind as MC views him as. He's not the worst but I don't really like him. Only towards the very end did I feel he had more reason to act the way he did and even then, it's not the best.

Romance: very dog blood, lots of angst and push and pull. I love unhealthy romances but this was hard for me to support. I genuinely believe that MC and ml, at the state they're at, would be better apart. A relationship like this is too hard, too cruel and especially for MC who's heart is so directly linked to ml, I wish he could have found a happy ending with someone else.

Ending: happy ending but bittersweet to me. The greatest tragedy is

4.5 - I just binge read it and I'm a bit emotional...

I usually like this atoning rebirth trope, so I enjoyed it. I didn't expect this journey. I like our pitiful MC, I feel so sad for him, although some might dislike him for some reason. I felt what he went through. Overall, the story was nice. I'm happy with the ending. If only we could read more of them at the end. My only regret is that I mtled this.

At first I was put off by the tragedy...I'm glad I finish the book in one day. Yes... lots of emotional heartbreaking journey. But this story it's so real that we have to accept we cannot avoid them in real life. Not all life journey is made with a bed of roses.

I'm glad they have a HE in the end. The evil got their retribution. A second chance was given to those who was unjustly treated.

All in all.... THIS IS A REAL LIFE NOVEL. A MUST READ.

I loved it! I'm a sucker for Angst novel. I actually cried when I read it.

by the end of the story ML realized that MC is also a victim. The ending is also bittersweet as MC is still struggling with his psychological behavior but he at least realized that he is not alone anymore.

This might not be everyone's cup of tea, however if you also love reading angsty novel with lots of dog blood plot, then you will definitely appreciate it.

Usually, I'd avoid tragedy. But that synopsis hooked me. Instead of your popular rebirth-revenge plot, it's about atonement (and a lot of mental issues). It's... different. A good kind of.

But, it can be triggering. MC goes through a lot of mental issues (depression, anxiety, maniac etc).

It's well written. So, you'll feel it.

... more>> But, it has a lot of angst. MC can't forgive himself for what he did in his last life. He tries to atone in this life, silently.

But, ML... damn, he could say it. Say he loves MC. But he never did. a**hole. Not in his last life. Not this. Why?

Ok, last life was a mess. But, this time? MC did so much for him. And ML didn't remember their last life. Yet?

He just acted pitiful. f*cker. Didn't want to be the first to confess. Played tricks to make MC confess.

OMG THE MC IS SO PRECIOUS MUST PROTECCCCCC.

The MC and ML was so unlucky in their previous life and I'M SO GLAD THINGS WORKED OUT in their current life, although it's still a th**ny road filled with angst. But HE, Im so gladdddddd.

I cried a little while reading this, definitely a great read especially for those who enjoy angst. Additionally, the author described the ML as "unnaturally gentle top" not sure if there are any element of sarcasm, but the top here is sure gentle but also a little black bellied with tactics here and there. <<less

If you like angst, this is a fantastic novel. If you don't like angst or you thought you could deal with it, then found yourself pissed off at the main couple (like me) read the rant below.

I want to hit the main characters. I'm not going to lie. If they were real people, I'd want to yell at them right now. You can't say all their actions are completely brainless or unjustified. But it's so incredibly irritating how fixed their mindset is, especially the main character! In the first life he's a complete yandere for the main male lead. In the second life he'd rather die (literally) than get out of the mindset that the male lead cannot possibly be better off without him. Naturally, this makes for a good angsty novel. And much of his mindset makes sense after what happened to him in his first life. BUT WHY OH WHY MUST THEY TORTURE US SO MUCH? I've never been great with angst but I at least thought I could handle it (looks like no).

I just don't understand why the main character's personality is always at an extreme. Pre rebirth it's one extreme, post rebirth it's another. I just want to rage and complain that it's irrational and brainless. But after what he experienced, maybe it does completely make sense. I don't know someone who has been reborn before so how in the world can we know if a person will be like that??? Still, I just feel so irrationally irritated by the main character tying things into knots then wallowing away in self pity. At this point he has yet to tell the male lead the pain he has experienced and it's driving me up a wall.

Clarification: this is a fantastic novel, provided you enjoy angst. I'm not hating on the novel at all, if I did think it was crap why would I be up until or past midnight reading it? However, the angst hurts so much and I want to punch some sense into the main character even more.

I don't usually bother myself to google translate webnovels. I did it for this one, because other than fanfiction I rarely find stories that are dedicated to angst. I think it was a good read, nothing really special. The MC is really likeable, and I wasn't even mad at his obsession with ML. Usually this stubborn insistent frustrates me, but here it didn't. Maybe because of the MC's self-hatred, and desire to atone. There is also a major reason for it, and one mentioned passingly, but it made sense for... more>> me.

ML on the other hand... He isn't the worst, I wouldn't even call him a s*um gong. He's extremely controlling of MC throughout the whole story (and they're not in a relationship for the majority of it), and throws a hissy fit if the MC tries to put a tiny bit of distance between them. He gets emotionally manipulative with MC, using their friendship and his abandonment issues as an excuse. It was later implied he knew what he was doing, and he wasn't just obliviously kept pulling MC along, which actually made it better in my eyes, but only at the very end. Their co-dependent relationship is solely facilitated by the ML, although MC enjoys it.

I enjoyed the psychological aspects of this book, and the angst. So overall I enjoyed that part the best. Romance was just an afterthought in my eyes.

My favourite parts are the ones where the MC learns that he was drugged and tries the handle his insanity, and his suicidal ideations or when he was in the sanatorium. Although the reason for his insanity is s*upid and unscientific, I think the exploration of his character as he deals with it was really realistic, layered and well-done. I was a bit frustrated that he refused to tell anyone and ML learns only in the last chapter. Also that no one else knew about it until the very end. Like he had other people than ML in his life who deserved to know. Also it would have been interesting to see their reaction. I know that in China the prejudice against mentally ill people is even stronger than in Western countries, but it would have been nice to see, especially it would have saved us most of the misunderstandings.

Decent plot, no plot holes, good characterization, and there are even a few relevant side characters that up the story a whole other level. The story has good depiction of the emotions and inner entanglement of the protagonists, so much that it really made me depressed for a while, and then it took me another while to recover from it, I could clearly feel the sadness, desperation, self-loathing of the MC. The most touching part is in the middle of the novel when the crisis reaches its peak, the MC... more>> really does suffer, it really made my heart clench, but it also really made me appreciate in a whole new light the side character that appeared, so much that I wouldn't have minded if the MC had ended up with them, the emotional bond that grew between them is so heart-warming and enviable, it was really beautiful, it felt as thought they were the only ones who would really be there for each other no matter what. It's rare encountering someone like that in your life, it overshadowed to a certain degree the bond between the MC and ML, and to be honest I love that ship, I really ship them. Such a beautiful side character to be honest <3. Definitely one of my favorite characters, even more than ML. I must add that I really got angry at ML at times and disappointed with him, the way he acts towards MC at certain times really makes me wonder whether he really loves him or are his trust issues just that big, though MC does contribute to the reason for the ML's behavior but I stand by MC and think that ML really went overboard at times. <<less

I loved it.... I really appreciate the author for writing this novel... Even though it might seem a little messed up but the author portrayed the MC and ML psychological thoughts good.

I'd really recommend it up if u don't mind some angst.
