This is a novel filled with fluff and comedy, especially during MC's antics and his inner thoughts. Recommend to read for fun! (Just like the description)

Cute short story,

Maybe boss-employee relationships aren't my preference because certain power dynamics at play make it difficult to strike a good balance. Though I believe the intent of this short story was to show it for pure humor.

At times the humor maybe didn't come across properly (ML is tsundere af, MC is bootlicking af), but the translation was very good. Would definitely try the translator's other novels.

Haha, at times I really wanted MC to just dump the tsundere ML but it's all good at the end.

It would be great to have more extras about ml's journey of linking MC.

It was okay but I guess it was just my personal preference but I didn’t like it that much because the comedy aspect seemed forced to me

Can I just say how cute this short story is? Its fluffy and fun and a great break from those angst-ridden tomes we get caught up in. This is 5 full stars of fluffy goodness.

The MC, Qi Yu is a funny, intelligent, hard-working guy who works hard for his actor/singer boss (the ML). The MC’s thought process is quite entertaining. The reader has the same love/hate relationship with the ML as Qi Yu does.

Although the story is short, there are some interesting side characters. Truly this book could have been... more>> longer with more about the aunt, the former bandmates, and of course, the dog. All of them add beautifully to the progression of the relationship between Qi Yu and his boss.

If you’re looking for a literary masterpiece, this isn’t it, but if you want a quick read that will keep you smiling, please READ THIS!!!

I don't know why people rated this quite highly. The jokes are forced and tacky, it relied too much on puns and situational jokes that non-Chinese readers won't get. Even more, the ML's behaviour towards MC that they called tsundere is just a cutesy way to say it. I found him verbally abusive, riding on the power trip as MC's employer, a selfish brat and a bully. He's a bad boss and even a worse boyfriend candidate. He'd be the type to verbally abuse you in your face and in... more>> front of your peers, expects you to wipe his butt, boost his manly ego and insincerely apologized. Rinse and repeat.

From MC's POV of him, you'd see that he doesn't seem to care much about MC and his employees. MC has lost respect and awe of him as an idol but still persistently stay because of the pay. <<less

This story is hilarious, ya seem silly and ML seem like a jerk sometimes, it’s just his awkward ways to catch his fish. Lol. MC is a bit of a silly fish and the whole story with his inner monologue were so funny. I enjoyed this short story quite alot. Thank you

It's very jokey. The jokes are very silly but many of them rely on Chinese cultural knowledge so thank goodness for footnotes.

I enjoyed it but I wouldn't say it was amazing.

The story is Pure Comedy!!!

Because ML is a Tsundere Chunni person, half the story was about MC being upset (in funny but understandable way) toward him.

ML is the character that people either Dislike or Neutral at the first time you see him. But we will get to know his personality not that bad from MC's pov too. And I also started to think he was cute.

Especially Love when MC finally found out ML like him, and then he realise how Super Handsome ML is and feel slightly possessive toward him... more>> in funny way.

Also, the nice thing in this Novel is there's No Bad Guy!

It's cute and probably better if the ML not act as a grumpy childish bad tempered toddler.

I'm enjoying MC's inner dialogue so much, he's hilarious.
