Due to being reincarnated into a financially struggling noble family, I had to find a way to make money.

“Just wait one more day, and the next volume will be out!”

“Next week is a hiatus? Are you out of your mind?”

“Hurry up and give me the next volume!”

“Quickly!”

Before I knew it, I was overwhelmed with deadlines instead of romance.

Really love this story. I’ve only just recently found this novel (maybe a week ago) and I binged all the way up to my current chapter (79). This is also the first cultural invasion? Book that I’ve tried reading and I’m enjoying it. Rupert and his family are all hilarious and really likeable characters. All he wanted was to draw manga right from the start of the novel and he has been busy doing exactly that. All the characters that revolve around him create all their own misunderstandings that, fortunately,... more>> are not the annoying kind. The translation is very good, which is a huge bonus. I’m looking forward to more chapters. <<less

I don't really understand this novel. There is no imagery, no characterization, and I can barely comprehend what is happening at any given moment like everything has been stripped to the bone. There is no build up, he just starts drawings, and starts to impress the world that I have no understanding of.

It basically feels way too big way too fast, such that I can't even get my bearing on where he is, what he is doing, who the people around him are, his struggles, and so on. There is... more>> nothing at all except the bare minimum to get you going.

It's like there's no foreplay. No preparation. Just right in, right out, and now I'm unsatisfied because I don't even care about the fact that this princess is infatuated with his bloody book. Who cares? I could make up a scenario in my head that holds more emotional weight because there is no life here.

Fundamentally a story is an illusion of life, and I feel nothing from this. There is no pulse, no vibrancy, no lovely prose, no grandeur; it is all it is, a story about nothing at all. <<less

This novel offers a refreshing take on the often overused "hero worship" trope. Unlike other stories where every woman inexplicably falls for the protagonist despite a strong start, this one takes a more grounded approach. The protagonist here is unapologetically selfish and materialistic, yet his actions are frequently misunderstood, leading other characters to see him as either benevolent or suspicious. This dynamic adds depth to the narrative, making it less about romance and more about the protagonist's influence and how others perceive his work. It's a nice touch that keeps... more>> the focus on character development and societal reactions rather than predictable romantic entanglements.

To truly appreciate the story, it's helpful to have some familiarity with the works the protagonist plagiarizes, like Fullmetal Alchemist. The novel essentially explores the concept of Surviving as a Plagiarist in Another World, but instead of copying novels, the protagonist steals and adapts illustrations for comics, fairy tales, and mangas. The story leans heavily into the theme of misunderstandings, rather than portraying the protagonist as someone who genuinely wants to improve the world, develop literature, or help the unfortunate.

While there are aspects that might not sit well with everyone, the story is still incredibly enjoyable overall. The characters are well-crafted, each with distinct personalities that contribute to the richness of the plot. If you're looking for a story that offers more than just surface-level romance and dives into the complexities of perception and influence, this is definitely worth a read. I'd personally give it an 8.5/10. <<less

A decent execution of the plagiarism trope. Remains to be seen how good it will remain. It's getting a bit more ridiculous with time as everything gets turned up to 11.

But good god the TL's website is horrendous. I don't care about the vote begging on NU but the site has so many intrusive ads that it's impossible to read on mobile. Greedy.

Sometimes it sucks to find a masterpiece. We have a small number of chapters and I want to read more.

So, the review.

If you want to read a novel that is easy to read, this one is for you. It has a lot of misunderstandings and it doesn't take itself seriously. The plot is really simple and enjoyable. You are not going to have a surprise reading it. It is what you are thinking it is, but well written.

What make this novel a masterpiece of its tag is that it is... more>> well written, something quite difficult to find in the cliche that this novel is based. "How to live as a writer in a fantasy world" f*cking sucks and it is google translated. Many more look alike are as badly written as the one used as an example. So, if you like this tag, you need to read this one. Just don't come here expecting something life changing, but something that is fun to read and to pass the time.

I hope they translate more chapters quickly.

I may have made some mistakes because english isn't my first language.

i hope this review helps. <<less

So far is good. I usually enjoy this type of novel until the girls surronding the protagonist discover he is the one writing/drawing/creating and turn full yandere or close to be one.

However here the protagonist never bothered in hiding his identity and none of the girls are obsessed with him, more with his works, so thats good.

Also the translate is good so thats another good point.

The for now only girl that is considering the protagonist romantically is because of the usual dose of misundertanding AKA having a ego the size... more>> of their house, and its a really big house.

The release frecuency is very good at 0.7 days per chapter.

Review made with google translator, because I can read english but cant write it <<less

I am very surprised by how much I like this novel.

I read this novel with the expectation that it was just another "MC introduces modern items to medieval people and everybody goes crazy over it". Don't get me wrong, it's exactly that. However, the author is really good at inserting humor into the story. It's just really fun and satisfying reading about stoic noble women going crazy over storybooks and manga.

It's an enjoyable novel to pass the time. So far in 30 chapters it has consistent quality and the characters are interesting. It kinda repeats a certain format but it adds unique details everytime to make it entertaining. The story doesn't take itself seriously and every plot point is very cohesive. The translation is also very good.

It is pretty good. Well as expected from the theme of culture invasion, it rarely go wrong. Mostly it's good. It can be called a fan fic in a sense too, but not too. Well the genre of culture invasion is mostly like that, it heavily dependent in whether the reader know the reference or not, but mostly people who bother to read novel already know about it, after all in culture invasion theme, the chosen one (the culture aspect) is a famous one, whether it anime, game, movie, manga,... more>> drama, and many more. In here though, the reference involve that can be drawn. If you like some novel like black tech internet cafe, bringing culture to different world, etc that involves bringing some culture related thing to other world, then you will enjoy this. Even if you don't get the reference, the story is still pretty good in my case, especially with the translation that is pretty good in my opinion too, you will still enjoy it. <<less

As I grow older, novels that completely throw my sleeping patterns off the rails are extremely rare and Drawing Manga in a Romance Fantasy happens to be one of them. With a basic premise of a manhwa artist bringing real world works to an isekai, the charm of the novel lies in how it doesn't lose sight of that premise and makes sure not to get distracted like other novels of the same premise.

Honestly I'm just not going to beat around the bush and just say it out loud, in... more>> practically every metric Drawing Manga in a Romance Fantasy is basically just a better version of How To Live As A Writer In A Fantasy World. The main character is a more likeable person, it feels a lot more like he deserves the renown he gains since most of the novel is him actually working and constantly has to deal with technological challenges. The side characters are more organic, their interactions with the MC are kept at minimum so it keeps them fresh which means less peanut gallery scenes. The scenes with the heroines are a lot less in frequency in comparison, but that's pretty much an advantage since you don't have to see extremely forced interactions and undeserved fawning of the main character. The world building is a lot more simple, which is also advantage since it actually makes you care more about it rather than unnecessarily complicating the story with irrelevant plotlines. The one main goal of the novel is literally the title, which is Drawing Manga in a Romance Fantasy. Every work he adapts, he has a real purpose behind choosing said work and actually wants to use his influence for a good cause (eventually at least).

Honestly reading this novel was just cathartic, I didn't know I had a lot of pent up frustrations with How To Live As A Writer In A Fantasy World until I read this novel so you don't have to take this review as unbiased since I clearly am just venting out, but outside of the blatant comparisons I made it really is a good novel worth staying up until 3AM for. I wouldn't call it perfect since it has obvious flaws here and there, but those are easy to ignore when the novel knows what its purpose is and doesn't get distracted from it. <<less

I read this up until the latest chapter because it's enjoyable. I'm not really a critique of writing style nor the essence of writing and story so don't expect some profound reasons on why I like this.

the reason is it's straight forward and enjoyable. First there's no harem and the fact that theres misunderstandings and that his works affects the current world is surprising and fun.

It's worth reading although it's a bit short and new.

This novel is a wish-fulfillment novel, nothing more, nothing less. It is by no means any close to a genuine masterpiece, but it is definitely a decent story that managed to stand out compared to the plethora of low quality web novels these days.

Here are my ratings:

Tension: 0/10

... more>> Stakes: 0/10

Conflicts: 5/10

Misunderstandings: Initially it's an 8/10, but from chapter 40 onwards, with more and more misunderstandings worsening, I was experiencing IQ drops from the side characters, so its a 4/10 now.

Characters: A 9/10 at first. Aside from the main character, the other characters were introduced nicely and each have unique personalities that I really liked. But then as I read on, their unique personalities seemed to deviate into the unusual flushiness and gushiness. It was like their IQ was dropping and all of the sudden they became merely a tool for more misunderstandings. 4/10

Character development: 2/10

Pace: 8/10

Grammar and vocabulary: It's simple and concise making the story easy to read so its a 9/10.

Humor: 5/10 (The story's humor is so lighthearted that I did not feel like laughing, so I will just count the fluff and cute event of the story as humor I guess)

Overall: 7/10

There is also a strong insinuation that this novel is going to the harem route, with the female leads falling for the MC and the other male leads to be left in the dust in terms of romance. So far I know it might be the princess, the duke's daughter, the female disciple, and the saintess who would fall of the MC. My initial shipping of the female disciple with the Third Prince was shattered after realizing this lol. Sigh, they would have made a great pair.

As sad as it is, this novel has indeed solid writing and decent pace. So just treat this novel as a 'feel good' story with slice of life aspects I guess. <<less
