Okay I'm sorry, I'm sure you're going "chapter 8 what?" but there is reason for this 'review'. A big reason I choose which novels to read is the reviews on here, so when I see a improper review I get the urge to correct it, but this is the first time its been so bad that I actually create an account and make a review to refute anothers. I'm talking about Sae's review ... more>>

"The ugly girl who has a good heart (she cried seeing her supposed husband dead) is considered 'not only an eating machine but also there is something wrong with her mind' like wow so if she's not pretty then she can't even feel sad? And then MC saw the incredibly pretty girl his heart immediately moved and he felt sad seeing her sad, like just seconds after they just met. Regarding judge people by appearances, MC is not so different from those villains and side characters (who also judge him from his appearance)."

[collapse]
Because at least with the 'ugly girl' the reason the main character is weirded out is that she knew her 'husband' (fiance really) for one day and the 'husband' was very unenthusiastic for his upcoming marriage before he died, which makes their entire review questionable, and considering I'm not the only one who looks at reviews before I start reading, makes me get angry at misleading reviews. <<less

This was one of the best novel I've read so far. The MC is a smart and values friendship but is ruthless when he needs to be ruthless.

Unlike other novels where the mc's are somewhat perverted, this does not focus that heavily on relationships because I'd rather read about an mc's rise to godhood or whatever than an MC crazy about love and relationships.

The funniest Character in this is probably Big Yellow. You can't imagine how many times I keeled over laughing at his comments.

All in all, this is an... more>> amazing read if you want something long and funny to pass your time with a little romance here and there. <<less

It's all about actions and action scenes. If you'e the type that prefer a novel which is action packed and a lot of cool moves, transformations, and fighting scenes then this is the novel for you. But if you want something with a deep plot and character development, you're looking at the wrong novel.

Many people would be thinking after reading synopsis of this story (at least I did).... So, the people in this novel are only smart when they're old ancient monsters. Other people are just embarrassing themselves in front of them without any knowledge.... Well this genre is do more with fists than brain so I guess it's acceptable to some extent.

If you're like me where you would rather see MC struggle and work hard to get something instead of having thrown that to him then you're not the targeted audience. Well... more>> MC does use head sometimes but most of the time it gets slaughterhouse for tiniest of things which is so not smart. Anyways, if you can ignore those small things then this is pretty good.

If you compare it to other novels it would be just a combination of a few of them and you can call it a cliche novel. Author does good job to maintain overall pace and story though so it's okay.

You can almost guess what's about to happen in this novel considering so much repeatiations, reading whole thing sure isn't time effective. Looking for a few hundred chapters and stopping would be good.

Well I would recommend for a few hundred chapters, it's interesting, rest of the novel, no, so much repeatiations it's like you're reading same thing over. <<less

It's a nice story, with several ass kicking scenes, interesting sense of humor and all the "I'm the big shit" attitude you can deal with. MC is OP for his level like it very often is the case. I would like to say that it has some slight romance but quite frankly the females here seem more of a plot device and kinda get forgotten about until the next time they are used for plot development. It can get tiring at the later chapters and feel repetitive since the story... more>> follows the general development of buff up, beat the local baddies, get the spoils and move on to the next area. <<less

I like l the series. Really do. Won't make any comments about the author, but the ideology and character are definitely a bit childish and extremely vain. Especially the views and treatment of women.

Definitely to much praise for the main character and to many comments from the "peanut gallery" characters. Even the "foolish and evil" enemies praise him before they die for goodness sake.

Great plot line and interesting character diversity though, great post speed and story progression, and I have respect for anyone who can keep up with so many... more>> characters and facts in writing a story this long.

Definitely want to read till the end. <<less

It's a generic xianxia with nothing special in terms of character or plot carried by the solid writing of a professional.

Don't expect anything in the comedy aspect more than a few hearty chuckles at rehashed jokes seen in every other situation of its kind in the multitude of other xianxias.

Standard fare reincarnation of godlike entity followed by offending and murdering everyone up the food chain until the top.

There are some entertaining interactions between the main character and his animal sidekick, but everyone outside of that is completely flat with no character.

DMWG is a novel about an MC who was at the peak of power in his world but failed to ascend to a higher realm, dying in the process. Fast forward a 100 years, MC reincarnates into a 'tr*sh' young master, then decides that since he got a second chance at life, he's going to shine bright like a diamond.

As mentioned by previous reviewers, the MC is consistent; he uses force whenever he can, except when the opponent is far too strong which is when his intelligence shines. He is... more>> arrogant but has the power to do so. Time and time again he's proven himself whether in terms of intelligence or strength. Although the start of the romance seems kind of forced, the interactions after are adorable and smooth.

One thing I found interesting in the novel, especially in the recent chapters, is how the MC actually seems to mature from being hot-blooded to considering the effects of his choices on those around him. It might not be obvious but if you compare the MC at the beginning of the story and now, you can see the difference.

Overall, a well written story (so far), with arcs closed in a very satisfying manner. The MC does have a tendency of running into OP items but even that is explained as the novel sometimes hints that destiny exists.

I look forward to seeing Jiang Chen grow, both as a person and a Dragon-Marked War God. <<less

I enjoy it; That said, It also annoys me with cliches and forced plot elements. Literally the most generic cultivation story I've read its plot is very standard. The good part is that it moves fast and doesnt waste too much time. It has some interesting elements and characters. Worth checking out.

The MC being the greatest Saint once, have a warped personality. He is extremely arrogant, ruthless and condescending. The story itself is rather interesting despite the MC's attitude. He is also joined by a similarly arrogant dog and they seem to corrupt those he come into contact with. The story however is slightly predictive.

Alright so I see what people are sayin. This isn't the best piece of writing. Tbh it's something you turn off your brain to read. Even then, it's still pretty eeeh. Everyone unanimously chooses to respect the MC after his first conflict with the Murong family. Which is chapter 7.

Apparenlty he's done 'evil deeds' before the reincarnation, but no one really brings that shiz up. It's only stated and not explained. The whole killing his adopted brother kinda just goes out the door after it happens too. His father pretty much doesn't care. Which wouldn't happen to a real father especially after he raised him for years.

Everything feels straightforward and low IQ. Like muh bruh, the MC decides the whole marriage thing is a plot by the Murong guy, but what if it wasn't? He said he 'suspects it' since the girl is sooo super, extremely, unbelievably ugly. He even says he thinks shes not even the guys real daughter.

Wat? You just gonna assume that someones daughter might not be their daughter because shes ugly?

This just shows that the author wants his MC to be so assured of himself that even his assumptions will be undeniably right. What if he was wrong about the whole plot? He's never met this Murong family before. There needs to be inquires and investigations, not just assumptions and 'intuition'. A single doubt about the marriage and situation could be looked into, but nah he's so assured that he's right, which, in turn, means that he will be right. Cuz author.

When an MC says shiz like "Yes, I am indeed a genius, possessed with a god given talent that no one else has... I managed to produce a restoration pill with 100% effectiveness on my second attempt." It makes ya wanna slap the ever-living piss outta him. He doesn't even conceal the fact that he can do this stuff even though he shouldn't be able to do it.

This just seems like a power jerk and wish fulfillment story. That's fine I guess, but only if the story was written well enough. It needs more substance. If the story exists just to stroke the MC's big pen-, I mean brain, then what makes it better than all the other stories?

Two stars since TL is good and at least cultivation is decently fast. I have a feeling that everything the MC will do will be the 'correct' decision. An MC like this can do no wrong. Cuz author.

Good entertaining story, but the dialogue of enemies is repetitive cookie tr*sh and about 25% of every chapter is pathetic filler garbage.

If you are fine with skimming some shitty dialogue, the story is pretty fun.

OP MC, but starts weak, rapid power up, fight, meet stronger enemy, power up, fight. Travel from lowly areas to more prestigious and powerful, massive part s of the world. Relies on his overwhelming knowledge of the past life and his overpowered highest-tier skills. Gets into some strange scenarios and uses cunning or power to solve... more>> them. <<less

This is one of the novels I read that I always look forward to reading, the MC is really one of those guys you cant fault but agree with his way of thinking. Sure he runs rough shod, but his character isnt usually in question nor his reasoning, if you allow for a bit leeway.

Honestly, I don't know why this novel is compared to likes of PMG and MGA. Not only does this story have depth, most if not all of the main characters have depth to it instead of a 2D novel like PMG and MGA. Yes, the MC is ruthless, but in a man eat man world where only the strongest survive, being lenient to others is being cruel on oneself and these readers who rated it badly due to that are clearly naive since in normal xianxia novels, the mc's family... more>> would be threatened in most scenarios if the MC lets the antagonists live. While the novel might not seem good based on these 1 star ratings, I believe that one should try this novel and actually read this novel as they join our MC's ride. Itll be sure to make you laugh and the uniqueness of Big Yellow is definitely worth a read XD <<less

It's your typical "strongest warrior in history's" soul reincarnates into the body of a weakling, then using all the knowledge from his last life begins training again wanting to become even stronger than before. That's the basic plot, followed with each arc basically having the same storyline which is as follows: Meet new friends, meet new enemies, gets underestimated and destroys half of new enemy, Levels up becoming stronger, kills rest of enemy, rinse and repeat.

So while it's a bit cliche, it's still a decent read overall and therefore worth... more>> the effort to do so. <<less

I Gotta Be Honest, The Book is kind of Dry.
Spoiler

The Beginning of the Book was interesting. Leading to a good plot, but after he had killed his Step Brother, it just fell apart. What would have been good is: Extend the time he had to Cultivate, (instead of Reaching the 8th Level, make it the 3rd, but can defeat a high third level. Then make use of the MAyors Power, Taking like Tax or something. Also, Let Lee Shan Yue become more Powerful, and let Jaing zhan Hai find out and kill the Father. Sort of Like Coiling Dragon type of thing ok

Anyways, I would honestly give the book a lower Rating compared to the 3.9 more like a 3.3 3.6 at the highest

The first 50 chapters feels like it's written by a youngster who's taken all the best parts of different xianxia stories and collages as one by cutting it down. Which is why I gave it 2 stars. What made it worse is the pace of the story. It feels too rushed in the beginning, lacks details where needed. But later on past 100 chapters it actually gets better. Worth a try. I'll give a 3.5 star.

Read at your own risk. Its really funny and has a good premise. But Author really forces things in and is like a hypocritical writer. Script changes so much and you notice what's forced so easily. The Romance was good at first but it becomes terrible. I'm disappointed

I have a lot of things I can complain about. The Characters don't feel real at all.

The Father step son just died and he felt no sadness or anger! WTF? Even if he was Evil you still raised him and cared but in the end you felt nothing of his Death? A lot of similar things like this happens. This is a quote from the Novel "Only she can pat big yellow and only she can call him puppy." The MC, Her and big yellow were doing very good going at OP adventures. It was really cool like a wedding couple. Makes a few friends a long the way and protect the MC girl when he's not around... Then the Author just ruins it! He forces an other girl in 400 chapters later. And conveniently gives her a generic backstory "from ancient family go and save her and MC falls in love with her"

I think the Comedy makes up for all the Flaws it has. Read this for the Comedy if nothing else. The writing not bad. It feels like good Ameature work. I really love Big Yellow <<less
