It is kinda cute but...

I'm just totally unable to imagine what the dragon look like. With all the descriptions of how she wears dresses, weaves and carves stuff with her paws, I either imagine her as something utterly ridiculous (just imagine what would happen if you put your dog in a long dress) or as an anthro (basicaly a normal little girl but bald, with scales, a tail and a snout). That is the only logical way she could do all the stuff she's doing. As an anthro, she... more>> would walk on her hindleg and have hands, and her actions would make sense. But it sure wouldn't be cute...

Now I also have a problem with HOW the hell is she doing all that? Beside the fact that she doesn't have to worry about predators, she is still in a survivalist situation. But there's no focus and barely any explanation on how she does all that: build a house (seriously how? she's a 30cm tall baby dragon!), cook stuff (how did she make the fire? Can she already breath fire? No explanation at all), bake stuff (I'm pretty sure you can't make the kind of bread she's eating without yeast... So where did she find it?), make jam (you need sugar for that. Where did she find it? And the cooking pot? You can't cook with a wooden bowl), carve stuff (Back to the anthro theory. I can't imagine her being skilled at all with dragon paws...).

And maybe it's just me but if I ever find myself reincarnated into a dragon, I don't think clothes would be my first priority. Neither my second, third, fourth, or...

Seriously, what's the point of a "reincarnated into a dragon" story, if she will never do anything dragon-like, never think anything dragon-like, and never even look like a dragon? Why not go for the "reincarnated into another world" plot? It's like the dragon thing was just added as an after thought because the author needed something a bit more original. <<less

Okay many has complained of how the main is not op or epic. But really, the chapter is still 22, the journey hasn't even completely started yet. So we cant really judge it from now! This is a slow moving novel where power actually takes time rather being immediately OP or epic.

I love the interaction and the main even if the protagonist is not super intelligent. This novel has many potential, it can develop to many ways so we cant really say anything for now but hope for the best.... more>> RECOMMEND READ ^^ <<less

For someone who has been (for a long time now) reading hardcore CN MCs almost exclusively; indeed, as it turn out, I really needed a story like this. It's gotten to the point where I've become somewhat disillusioned with reading in general (on this site) ; either it's beta Jap MCs, filler chapters or just straight out bad/careless story telling, I've seriously been losing my interest in these novels in much the same way that I lost interest in anime and manga. In short, this novel is exactly what you... more>> think it is, as of chapter 39, it is a light hearted, cute, and easy to read and to get into story.

This, along with At the Northern Front, Meow Meow Meow (amazingly fun read), Uchi no Musume, and of course My Disciple Died Yet Again (among others) are probably the most useful calmers/anti-inflammatories available to read - right now - to balance your over-boiled blood (after reading novels like TMW, ATG etc.). I'd even go so far as to say that they are mandatory reads.

I mean, they're not the best reads, they're not the most well written reads either ~ and yet, for some reason (yet undefined) they are amongst the most satisfying reads you'll ever read on this site ~ when you come at them from my situation of course. <<less

As you can tell from the genres, this is more of a whimsical, Western fantasy CN novel than a hack and slash rpg. Like most shoujo stories, it has greater focus on character interactions and light comedy. If you're looking for something fluffy and nice, then this can probably help fill out that gap.

Unique... The plot did drag and did seem odd in the first few chapters but it has its own charm. This novel had its own sort of style and the MC’s innocence is a numbly sweet. She’s not overly optimistic and reasltic in that sense, relatable only in this sense.

It may seem repetitive but the plot does get better as the story progresses but it is propelled by conincidences and not the cunnning choices of her own desires or her friends. Rather enemies are prominent and the little dragon is... more>> pitiable.

Its interesting that the summary is humorous but that is not the case and her situation is quite dire, it’s deserving that this story does in fact have a plot worth reading. <<less

One of the CUTEST reincarnation stories that I have read. The humor is pretty clever so most normal readers do not get it (see all those 2 stars ratings?). Overall you can pretty much guess the plot of the story tho the way it is written shows how good the author is you can laugh your butt off one chapter then cry in the next, the way the world and the dragon is described it just make me feel like I was there.

The translator who works on this does a... more>> great job truth be told. <<less

I usually love female MC, reincarnation story and dragons. This one has it all, yet, for some reasons, I just can't get into it. It's extremely slow to start, and the first arcs are... well, uninteresting?

I know I shouldn't run after realism in fantasy novels, but in this one, there is a lot of things that seems off. I also have a hard time picturing a baby dragon eating with chopstick or wearing dresses, but that's not really that important.

Anyway, it's a cute story, but if you're looking for... more>> action, you might want to skip on this one. On the other hand, if you like slice of life, then this story might be for you. <<less

a slow novel, but because of how its presented Im loving the pacing.
a relaxing cute novel. Its relaxing to read and you cant help but root for our MC!!!
she really deserves better than what she's going through : (
but otherwise Im loving the fluff and the slice of life!
She's not one of those OP MCs you'd see in fantasy-slice of life, but that makes it more interesting and fresh. And her being like this seems to work well with her personality. I really enjoy this novel~

It is a extremely cute story so far, however it is a proper adventure story just from the point of view of a baby dragon. As of c27 the dragons not even a year old yet (she's a runt as well, pet sized). There does seem to be a decent plot hiding in the background. The characters, even new ones are all well done, without wasting any of time on side characters (retainers). Which leaves a decent amount of actual story telling each chapter, unlike alot of light novels.

So... chapter 49 and nothing really interesting happened. Well the dragon/girl did make her first true friend. Except that, the MC is naïve, slow-witted, unable to use her (dragon) -body to do anything but speak human's words.

Not really worth reading and as say by others, it's either extremely slow or the dragon-reincarnation-things was used just to have something special because the MC is boring. She act like a young child, thinks like one and while it may be cute, after some times, any reader hope for his hero/anti-hero to have... more>> at least a few brains cells working.

So read it when you have nothing interesting to read and if you want to fill empty hours with even more emptiness. <<less

This series seems like your usually fluffy shoujo story, with the major distinction being that the MC isn't humanoid (yet). Having been a weak girl in her past life, the MC is now a healthy but small dragon, who tries her hardest to make us forget she is one (seriously, what's the point in making her a dragon if you don't follow through). While it is cute, something all the other reviews seem to agree on, it lacks a certain punch that makes it a great story as opposed to... more>> a good or mediocre one.

The humour is based mostly on one or two liners, I'm not sure if a plot will come up but it might, and the story's tone is pretty removed from the premise the author created, giving it more of a domestic, slice of life element compared to what you'd expect from a medieval last dragon story with knights, rogues and magic.

Overall, yes it's cute. But as for everything else... there's not much to say. I wouldn't be too surprised if it heads to a darker and more serious direction but the author may need to lose the light and fluffy tone and risk ostracizing current fans.

Recommendations - Dragon Life is also a cute and fluffy dragon-girl reincarnation story, but much more enjoyable since it can embrace a darker tone and deeper plot as it is, while the MC's dragon-like characteristics serve as the humour. <<less

This nothing more than a fun, little cute read. It's extremely light. Nothing more. I'm surprised by these reviews and ratings because if you looked at the genres you could tell this wasn't going to be some op, heaven sundering xanxia dragon story. Don't just read the tags. This is the irony of people voting down a story for being what it is. A slice of life shoujo. If you don't like either genres, run far from this novel. 3 stars.

Though, a dragon xanxia MC story would have been nice.
