I feel complicated about this story. It wasn't that bad per se but I just didn't like MC much. I almost dropped this story when MC sabotaged ML's audition but I endure since this story had a relatively high rating and maybe MC would change later but unfortunately, she didn't get any better till the end.

I usually love smart and strong woman like her most of the time but some of MC's action really rubbed me the wrong way, such as sabotaging ML's audition for personal reason. ML had quite a hard time after that but fortunately, he had a good acting and could get another role.

She also had a big reaction when she knew that ML was a rich man but she forgot that she also didn't tell ML about her identity as a writer who once sabotaged him. I hope ML could be angry a bit longer when he knew about it but sadly, he forgave her quickly when she acted pitiful in front of him.

And why the author made the 2nd ML (MC's ex) so miserable?

I know that he slept with other woman but he was actually trapped by that woman. That woman climbed on his bed when he was drunk and MC's ex mistakenly thought that she was MC. After he was sober, he straightly apologized to MC but MC refused to forgive him and broke up with him.

What made me sad, MC's ex was actually a good guy and he really loved MC. He also felt terrible because of the mishap. Maybe I would feel better if he actually really cheated on MC in his own violation but he didn't. I think he's also a victim who lost his chasity to a greedy woman and lost the love of his life because of it.

This is a gem, and I'm surprised there are low ratings (without reviews, of course). The story itself has a lot of memes and SNS gossip expected of a modern setting. The translator does well at explaining things for an English speaking audience.

The development of the main characters' relationship is shockingly good. They're a little immature at the beginning, but as much as they may bicker, their begrudging friendship blossoms in a pretty natural way??? Their banter itself is pretty funny, and overall neither the FL nor the ML do... more>> anything that crosses the line that much (minus one petty thing at the beginning on FL's part, but it does get the plot moving and she slowly makes up for it by supporting ML later on).

FL is not a pushover, but she isn't some iron woman with no feelings either. She believes that women should be self-reliant, and instead of bemoaning her tragedies forever, she'll pick herself up and come up with a plan.

ML's character arc is discovering independence. He's stubborn and a bit sheltered/tsundere, but he means well and you can really see how he puts effort into solving his own problems rather than just throwing money at it like MLs from other novels. I find him very charming.

As someone who's trudged through bad and good bickering couple stories, as well as too many modern/showbiz/social media stories, I'm thoroughly enjoying this. <<less

What a happy ride~~~! At first I'm annoyed by their always bickering nature but then I'm enjoying this story so much.

MC is really an independent woman but not other female MC who left out their partner, this one walk together with him. That's why I love this story!

... when a bickering duo evolves into a spicy & sweet couple 😍 Really great story with depth, clever dialogue, an intelligent strong FL and an adorable wolf-dog ML.

I'm so glad I took the plunge to read this. It is definitely a gem, just like what another reviewer said. Totally warm and funny. After reading a heavy dramatic story, something light-hearted and easygoing like this is well recommended.

Pros :

Its fun watching them bicker with eachother. The chemistry is nice to see. They can be playful towards eachother but nothing that crosses the line. They look like tsunderes to me.

right from the first meeting they already bicker. Second meeting they got together to berate other people. Poisonous mouth is the common thing that they have. They adopted a dog and a cat. Then they got married and had a son.

The MC is a boss?? Kinda. ML is a 18th tier actor. We don't see this type of pairing often.

Cons :

It's only 50 chapters so I don't really expect much but nevertheless it's a nice read. <<less

1st impression: so far Shu is kind of annoying with her interaction with Yu, but thats about it. Shes a good person with good morals. Nothing yet for Yu except he's doing his best for his career LOL

MC's attitude make me dont want to continue read further. I know it supposed to be a comedic novel but her attitude is off, not my cup of tea. She's kinda has princess syndrome.

The translator did a good job translating tho, so appreciations to them.

It's a cute novel. There are very few conniving villains and no silly love triangles. It's straightforward and somewhat slow tempo story.

To sum it up in one sentence: ML is a simp for FL since their first meeting.

ML is a very successful (of course) simp. What has the FL done to earn such a simp? She's beautiful (of course) and has a poisonous tongue with an independent streak. Cool. But it's very one-dimensional, nay? It felt like the ML's entire existence rests solely on her presence. Without her, he has... more>> no will to live.

Not to say this story isn't worth reading - sometimes it's cliche stories with heart that gets good ratings. This is one of those. Worth a read if you got nothing better to do. <<less

... more>> Since some people in the reviews said they didn't like MC, I expected the worst. Until I read it and I have got to say, she is a woman I strive to be- She's strong and independent. She definitely has flaws though, she contradicts herself a lot and I sometimes wonder if the author was inspired by a real person cause she is just too realistic! She felt REAL

The ML is very cute too, they feel like a match made in hell haha, though I always felt like ML gave more than he received but when I thought about it again I realised it's because his love is more pronounced.

The villains here was surprisingly not that annoying ah wait wait I just remembered some more... nvm nvm they are but they aren't a huge part of the plot, it's more on how they fell for eachother.

Romance

This follows the enemy to lovers troupe, if you look at the tags it says protagonist falls in love first but oh wait.... I think the guy is the protagonist. No wonder Σ (ಠ_ಠ) I'm even learning more about this novel while making a review, I might need to change the upper section smh (update: I didn't). They love each other a lot and they might respect each other's boundaries (?) IDK but they never went too far when they made fun of each other. Their relationship is enviable, not only are they lovers, they're also best friends!

Pacing

The pacing is fast as it's just 50 chapters long- but! it wasn't too fast where you'll just go "eh? they got together so fast?" The ML actually fell in love with her so fast and noticed it a bit late, the characters here aren't dense, or naive, felt 3d not just "Oh he's playful, that means he's always playful, the person they love the most died? They'll stay playful but with... idk a few tears yea. No development" "They like grass? that's it every line they have will be about grass!" "Gay? give them a pretty dress"

Problems

Hmm I guess it's the jokes but it's definitely bc I got sensitive, they once had a pretty controversial joke here but not a problem at all. The FL contradicts herself and is also a bit selfish in a part here but ML forgave her and if they're happy then it's all good. It wasn't that big of a problem and it only happened once.

A lot of questionable moments supposed to be humorous. It's kind of annoying tbh. The MC gets away with a lot of sht only because she's a pweety gurl

Characters are bland, the MC is a girlboss with apparently no politeness. The ml's characterisation is blander - nice face second generation chaebol. He falls for her straight away because she pretty and she continues being as mean because... she likes him? Their bickering is so silly they just hate each other for no reason. And the thing is she hits... more>> but he doesn't really hit back and after a while it just kinda feel repetitive, she's annoying and he's an idiot.

They quickly fall into the 'I hate you but you get me best so I like you' except the progression was awkward. The first 'enemies to lovers' novel I'm dropping.

In fairness tho it isn't the worst. Except it's kinda been done before and done better and the main characters are honestly annoying <<less
