Ji Qingzhuo was socially anxious and clumsy, with nothing to offer except her appearance.

One day, after transmigrating, she bound a strategy system in order to save the world.

First of all, the summary is very misleading. This novel does start off more comedic but it's much more serious at its core. Also the scenes described don't really happen and when they do, not in the way they're described.

This novel is basically a two-person play between Ji Qingzhou and Shen Rongyu. All other side characters are relatively superfluous and only serve as ornaments for the story between the two mains. This isn't a bad thing and it works in the novel's favour. At it's core, the novel focuses on... more>> Qingzhou and Rongyu's emotional development, their relationship and the mysteries that surround both of them.

The joy of this novel is unraveling both characters but I'll give a brief overview.

Qingzhou - social phobic, extremely introverted and insecure. Frequently described as a piece of wood but you get to see this piece of wood slowly sprout roots and flowers.

Rongyu - faux gentle, extremely controlling and possessive and cruel but is somewhat measured. Likes to tease Qingzhou.

That's the most superficial overview but honestly they're more interesting than that. The romance develops slowly but is very tender at its core. They're each other's most tender spots and are willing to subvert everything for each other. The romance develops both in the foreground and in parallel with backstory which only gets explained much later. I'd say in the end it's a very equal romance.

The author also definitely planned this novel. Alot of details do get explained and link back. There's very few unexplained loopholes. Chekhov's gun applies very much, if the author mentions a detail multiple times, it pops up as a plot point even things you don't expect to.

It's very satisfying to read a novel and be rewarded. It can be confusing but at least it's meaningful.

I don't want to spoil too much but it's a well written novel which focuses tightly on it's leads. The beginning can be frustrating but the process and ending is very satisfying. <<less

Although it may look boring at first glance with a classic villainous ML and emotionally awkward fl, this is a story of two traumatized people healing and rediscovering themselves together.

The revelations afterwards on just why the FL was like that and the origin of the system was interesting, and you could it had been planned well from the forshadowing and information from earlier chapters, it never felt like information came out of nowhere. The fact that both the FL and ML were simply treated as tools in the truest sense of the word, with one's body being refined to become a magical weapon and the other a genetically created supercomputer, they both had only each other to treat them as human. It was this care and love they had for each other that lead to saving of the world

Never thought I would find myself cheering for a donkey. Author nerfed it by making him old so that it wouldn't overtake the MC's spot qwe.

That aside, I also like our MC and ML. MC's wooden personality saves us from misunderstandings but she is also not wooden to the point of not understanding what's in front of her- if you know what I mean. In short, she's cute, man; would love a wood like her at my garden lolol.

ML is surprisingly not an ass, lord almighty... more>> look at how far my standards has fallen, him not being an ass is a compliment to give now. It's all because of cold/cruel/indifferent= cool logic not my fault.

So, he is pretty nice to MC, helps her out a lot, cracks jokes, acts cool; greenest green flag if you ignore that his actions are not out of goodwill (at least at the start), he's probably some sealed away demon that got loose and a villain. Minor details, minor details...

Tho the plot is avarage, get villain to fall for you and save the world, characters and execution makes it worth it.

Also good (could be better) translation but we all know how sleepy translations are. Sleepy. <<less

a really beautiful story. Well written. Cute at first. Hope you get to atleast chapter 137 and cry your eyes out. The truth and events of th past were heart wrenching. It was really a love story worth reading. Happy ending. A bit fluffy and slow at the end but what ever. Wish I could spoil but wont. An umbrella was made to protect and shelter from the rain. The birds in the sky have scales and the fish in the sea have wings.
main character is my kind of cute and loveable character.

This is such a beautiful story!! I was intrigued by the summary at first but the plot is so good! It's heartbreaking yet so beautiful to read, it has so much affection while the backstory was also heartbreaking to read but I'm happy that the story has a happy ending! I had a good time reading

As a prolific fantasy reader, this is honestly one of the better stories I've read.

I enjoyed it immensely. I read it slowly, so that I could enjoy and truly appreciate the vastly unique and complex story the author is trying to convey. One amazing love story.

I might go back one day and read it again, as I love this so much.

Love it in starting it will feel a little boring but there a reason why FL is having personality like that and ML is also having childhood bullying and family issues they both are made for eachother it's not like typical ML saving FL plot story in this novel they both are saving eachother whenever it is required they both are dependent on eachother both are skilled in their own way love their sacrifice and love for eachother god damn and how many revelations were opening after episodes and episodes... more>> it was so wholesome

I just finishes reading the complete main story. Thank you for the author and translator team. I think there are many crucial plot twists near the later chapters and they all tied beautifully in the end.

Both our lead characters are suvivors.

and other spoilers/hints I can say for interested readers are that.. In an IQ test, Ji Qingzhou will likely get higher score than Shen Rongyu (lol). Also, Maomao the pet donkey still lives even after 10 years passed since ML & MC married.

Such a beautiful story yet heart-wrenching. A well-written love story set in the world where cultivation, fantasy and sci-fi elements coexist. This novel revolves around the main characters. It unfolds the mystery surrounding both leads and their connection to each other in the past. Other characters do not matter as much, not in way that they're canon-fodder like most CN- but because this novel goals from the start was the mystery behind ML and MC.

For full experience, I suggest you do not look for spoilers. Just read it through. If... more>> some parts are confusing, take mental notes, you'll find out the answers- the author did not leave any loose threads.

Omg I loved this so much that I went ahead and ran the raws through google translate because I have no self-control, but I'm following along with the translations because they are great.

It's a unique take on a transmigration/isekai novel where the female lead has extreme social anxiety and no desire to follow the prompts of the system.

Other things to look forward to: A slow-burn romance, slice-of-life xianxia/cultivation world for fans of novels like Ascending Do Not Disturb, Chekov's gun umbrella mirror sword, unexpected sci-fi, an adorable donkey named Mao... more>> Mao, and a male lead who just might be a monster in a beautiful skinsuit. <<less

So far it's good! The MC is quiet and lazy but she somewhat made everything into a funny situation. The ML had already shown his black hearted tendency although it is still not to the point where he is cruel

I am seeing the potential of this novel being one of those novels that has sand, , umm wait I forgot the name '-' you know that type of novel that has a complete nonsense of a plot and is mainly comedy? [Edit: it's mudslide lol] Yeah like that, I like... more>> that lol

I'm sorry if my review just makes y'all more hesitant to read but trust me! You can read the first few chapters and then decide whether this novel is for you or not :p <<less
